It's been a busy weekend with lots of celebrating as our little man is now TWO!!!  He is a whiny, tantrum throwing, naughty, lovable little tornado and we wouldn't have it any other way!!!  He had such a fun weekend.  His actual birthday was Friday and he woke up to a house full of balloons.  He went out to lunch with Matt and Papa for some Chick-Fil-A and playtime.  After that it was home for a nap and then to the BIG playground in the neighborhood with his brothers.  The night was topped off with dinner at Fazoli's followed by some Chuck E. Cheese playtime:)  The next morning was party day:)  We headed to a super fun indoor inflatable playground called Hoppin Hippo and had fun playing and having pizza:) The party then moved home for a Wiggle pinata, playtime, cake and presents!!!  It has been a busy, fun weekend for Luke and today will be a day of rest and NO MORE SUGAR!!!

What a "fun" vacation we had!!!  For my 30th, Craig got us a condo in S. Padre for a week!  We had this great trip planned...a week on the beach with the kids and my parents with nothing to do but relax and play!  Sounds fun...right???  Well, the trip began with us arriving on the island on Monday.  My parents couldn't make it until Tuesday as they were literally flooded in to !  Craig and I took the kids to dinner at the local Pizza Hut where we proceeded to make a giant spectacle of ourselves with Matt and Luke vomiting not once, but three times all over the restaurant, the table, themselves and us!  It was quite the sight...Craig muttering obscene things under his breath with the phrase "Vacation over, we're going home" every other line and myself laughing hysterically as a result of the 1 hour of sleep I'd had the night before and the sheer hilarity of the situation!!!  As we reached the car, Brian topped off dinner with "I peed my chair"!  We believe that we are officially banned from the South padre Pizza Hut for life if the health department doesn't shut them down first!!!  The puking fun didn't stop there...Matt and Luke continued for the next day, while myself and Brian joined the flu bandwagon the following morning.  My parents arrived ready to help Craig tackle the situation and with that...Craig and my Dad were the next targets! Once the flu hit my Mom, vacation was officially on the not so fun list!  By Friday we were all feeling human again and able to salvage some of the trip.  We ended the vacation actually saying "That was a fun trip" which goes to show...you can still have fun when EVERYONE has things coming out of both ends!!!

What a weekend!!!  We started with my parents and DJ arriving late Friday night.  Saturday morning (bright and early) we headed downtown for the boys first ever marathon:)  They both were participating in the Armadillo Run, which was a one mile run for kids around the lake downtown:)  It was an unusually cold (30 degrees with the windchill) morning but we sucked it up and had a blast!  Uncle DJ was Brian's partner and Daddy was Matt's.  I am so proud of Brian and Matt!!! They completed their mile in under 14 minutes with Matt coming in about 10 seconds ahead of Brian (looking over his shoulder the entire way!!!)  Papa and I were cheering them in with the cameras and hearts full of pride:)

Saturday afternoon my Mom and I ran some last minute party errands and needless to say, ended up coming home with a beast of a dog for my Mom!!!  Dauber is a 120 pound giant!  He is a Great Pyrenees and his back stands as tall as my kitchen table. He is about four and the sweetest thing ever!  All of our girls (the dogs) love him!  Our hour of running erannds turned into a full day event due to Dauber but he was worth every minute:)

Suunday was the BIG party!  Aunt Kel and Uncle Chris drove up for the day to celebrate and help out!  Aunt Kerry and Uncle Jeremy couldn't make it but thrilled the boys when they sent another round of presents for the big event!!! Brian and Matt were so excited for their first ever "real party with their classmates"!  We had it at this massive playground in our neighborhood, rented a monster truck jumping castle, had our popcorn machine and pizzas and had a ball!  Matt literally squealed with delight each time he opened a present and the cupcakes with black staining frosting were the hit of the party!  We are all sunburned and tired after an exhausting weekend but had so much fun it was wroth it:) 

We officially hit birthday season in the Rose household!!!  We started with Craig on March 7.  We headed down to my parents on Lake Conroe and had a family celebration there:)  Then came the double whammy, me and Matt on March 18!  This year was a big one for me (30) and it was done in a BIG way!!!  On Monday, the 16th my husband declared he had a severe taste for mexican food (mind you I was wearing workout clothes and had been in the yard gardening for four hours that afternoon).  I told him I wasn't in the mood to shower and change for dinner but he insisted.  I skipped the shower, threw on shorts and a t-shirt (do you see where this is going???) and walked into a surprise party thrown by my parents with twelve of my friends there!!!  Imagine my surprise when I'm dressed like a giant hillbilly:)  I was completely shocked and had a great time:)  On the 18th Matt and I focused on his birthday:)  Gaga and Papa came back up to Austin and we all went to Olive Garden (Matt's choice) for a fun dinner! We were sung to by the waiters and had a ball!  Next up is the boys shared "Monster Jam" party on March 29th, followed by Brian's real birthday on April 6!  A long and exhausting few weeks of celebrations (I'm not even mentioning the birthdays of Kelly, Kerry, Craig's Dad and Craig's Grandma that fall during this birthday season for us:) we get a few months off until Luke's big day:)

Well, we have made use of our Six Flags passes having now been there twice already!  The kids have so much fun there!  Brian officially rode his first Big Boy coasters and LOVES them!!!  Matt declared that he will do it when he's four...we'll see how that goes!  Luke had so much fun strolling throught the park and wanting to ride everything his big brothers were riding!  This past weekend Six Flags opened Wiggle World (much to Luke's delight) and we spent a good part of our day riding the Wiggly rides and dancing with the Wiggly friends at the Wiggles show;)  Brian and Matt used to be huge Wiggles fans and Criag and I thought those days were done but we have another loyal follower of the Wiggles and the funny part is... Brian and Matt seem to still enjoy them (even if it's not cool anymore!)

In other news... we have two basketball players in the house!  Brian and Matt are playing in the YMCA Itty Bitty Basketball League and are suprisingly good! I guess Daddy's genes are rubbing off on them:)  Craig is their coach and Lukey and I love watching their games each Saturday morning.  We are busy planning the boys first "real" birthday party for the end of March... stay tuned for pictures from the Monster Jam themed bash on March 29th!

It's been awhile since I've posted anything but we've just been so dang busy!!!  We had a wonderful Holiday season spent with my family.  Christmas Eve and morning was at our house where everyone but Uncle Jeremy got to wake up and see the excitement on the boys faces that Santa had come;)  We then all headed to my parents house to wait for Uncle Jeremy to arrive and then proceeded to have a second Christmas!!!  You can imagine the delight this brought to Brian and Matt!!!  My parents were once again WAY too generous and we all had a wonderful time! Our favorite gift was season passes to Six Flags!  We already have Sea World and now we can enjoy both places with the kids since they are SOOOOO close:)

We had a very busy Halloween weekend as Aunt Kelly got married on Saturday and all of us were in the wedding!  We started off with Halloween on Friday night and had such a wonderful time at a huge Halloween party at Gaga and Papa's.  There were about 30 people and the kids all had a blast.  They went trick-or-treating Texas style in a hay-filled wagon pulled by Uncle DJ's truck:)  We had traditional Texas BBQ and some super strong margaritas courtesy of Gaga!!!  Saturday was the big day and was absolutely perfect!!!!  (We won't go into details of Luke's 2.5 hour scream fest, the 1 carat diamond earring in the bathroom drain as the limo was pulling up or Kelly's dress strap breaking)  Brian and Matt were fantastic ring bearers and we all had a blast in the photo booth all night!  Overall the night was perfect and Kelly is now happily Mrs. Chris Rodgers!!! 

Well, our little Lukey is officially one!  He is no longer our little baby, but a big man like his brothers:) We can't believe that after all he has been through, he is a healthy, active one year old!  Luke was fortunate enough to have not one but two parties!!!  His first party was two weeks ago as it was the only time that my whole family was going to be in the same city so we could celebrate:)  Luke had a nasty cold that weekend, was quite grouchy and not really in the party mood!  He wanted nothing to do with his cake and showed little interest in his presents. None of us really paid much attention to that though and kept on celebrating!!!  His second party was tonight, on his actual birthday.  Gaga and Papa came up and we all took him to Chuck E. Cheese (which is his favorite place in the world!!!)  We had so much fun watching him ride the rides and enjoy his cake:)  Luke thoroughly enjoyed himself and dug into his cake like a maniac!  We can't believe our baby is now a toddler and can't wait for all of the new things he will discover this year!!!

We are officially back at preschool and Matt was beyond excited to be joining Brian this year!  The boys are now gone Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-2 giving me ten hours each week of eerie silence:)  The day started with a wake-up by Daddy, a pre-breakfast fight (it's simply impossible to have an hour go by without some form of physical violence in our house!!!), breakfast and then off to school!  Brian seemed excited but you never know, the tears could start any minute whereas Matt was literally running in he was so excited!  He greeted Ms. Laura with a giant hug and barely a goodbye to Mom:(  Brian did really well also and went in like such a big boy!  (You would never know this was the same child who teared up at drop off all last year!)  I can't believe it's just me and Lukey now... imagine how much I can actually get done!!!

We've just returned from the Happiest Place on Earth exhausted and full of memories!  We had such a fun time at Disneyland with Gaga, Papa, Aunt Kerry and Uncle Jeremy!  It was Uncle jeremy's birthday while we were there, as well as his 1'st visit!!!  Brian and Matt were SO brave going on the roller coasters since they have cleared the magic height of 40 inches!  (Technically, Matt had two napkins in his shoes as his height was somewhat questionable and we had to make him a clear 40 inches!!!)  Luke was a trooper and even went on a good amount of rides with everyone!
