It looks like the train is making such great time, students should be at the station by 6 pm!! A parent link message will be going out to all parents with this information shortly. They're almost back!! :) :)

The train is in Lakeland, FL. Kids had a late lunch, and all is well. ETA has remained the same. If there is a change, we will update the site again!
Almost Home!
Chaperone and students are doing well. Per the conductor, if there are no delays, the train will arrive at the station between 6:30 and 7:30 pm. :)
Latest Update
Kids just finished eating brunch. The train just left Jacksonville after a change in train crew. Kids are very mellow, reliving their experiences with their friends!
We will keep you posted on arrival time.
The trip home
As of 8 am, the train was passing through Georgia. Kids slept in a bit and are anxiously awaiting their arrival back in Florida!

Celebrity sighting...sort of!
While en route, the tour bus pulled up right next to the Celtics team's bus! Not quite Obama, but you take what you can get!
6 o'clock update
Kids are on the train and ready for a 7 pm departure! All aboard!!!!
Final day!
Everyone is packing up, clearing their rooms. Luggage will be picked up this morning for delivery to the train station. Next they all go to breakfast and more touring until they leave for the train station. They need to be there by 4:30 today. Chaperones say this was the BEST group of kids to date! All is well!!
Saturday update
Students went to the Archives, Mt. Vernon, MLK, and other monuments today. More updates to come in the morning!

What a day :) Arrived around 11:30am, got on bus, toured capitol building and Arlington cemetary- saw the JFK eternal flame and the changing of the guards at the tomb of the unknown soldier. We also saw the Vietnam memorial. We (the boys) headed to MacGills for dinner and then checked into the hotel. Everyone showered, got in Pjs, went over rules and expectations and hot the hay. We will wake them at 7am for a bog day tomorrow. All is well and everyone is exhausted! Trying to upload photos now....hopefully will get some new ones up!
In for the night
As of 8 pm, everyone was back at the hotel, happy as clams. They had a fabulous day full of historical sites! More updates tomorrow. Good night!
Arrival!
Patrols arrived in DC at 11 am. It is 40 degrees there!
They are on the tour bus heading toward the Capital and Arlington Park!
AM Update
Boys woke up at 5 am in anticipation of getting to DC. By 7 am they were all dressed and ready for breakfast! Bet that never happens at home. :)
Students are eating cereal, bananas, and granola bars for breakfast, which has been a hit with the kids! Update about the girls is forthcoming.

On the move!
The train left the station a little while ago, and the students are headed north! Woohoo!
At the Station!
We just got word that the students have arrived at the station, and the girls are currently boarding the train! The trip is underway! :)
On their way!
Students left the school at approximately 9:30, headed for the train station. Getting on the buses was a smooth process, and the bon voyage went off without a hitch! Thanks to all of the parents who helped us load the luggage and a special thanks to Mr. Doucett for loaning us his SD Card so Ms. Purdy could take all of these pictures!
