St Isidore's Youth Group meets Sunday evenings 6:30 - 8:30 pm at the Youth Center and is open to teens in grades 8 through 12. The only thing missing is you! Please join us... and bring a friend.
Dear Parents and Teens,
For those of you who are not familiar with it, each year Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio hosts retreats all over the country which are not only fun, but are profoundly powerful in opening up the hearts and minds of teens to the beauty of their faith. The retreats include many speakers, musicians, and presenters who are both spiritual and entertaining. In addition to dynamic faith talks, the conference offers daily Mass, Reconciliation, and Eucharistic Adoration. Our teens have consistently had positive experiences at the retreats and look forward to returning each year. Please visit franciscanyouth.com for more details. Also, feel free to talk to any of our teens or chaperones who have attended a Steubenville retreat in the past to hear about how they have grown closer to God from it.
Plans for Steubenville 2012 are already underway! At this point, we need to determine which weekend as well as how many spots to reserve and are therefore asking you to prayerfully consider whether your teen will be attending next summer. Please return the bottom portion of this letter no later than our first meeting in December (12/4).
Total cost for 2012 is $300 (same as last year). This covers conference costs, meals at the conference, housing, transportation, and t-shirt(s). The $40 deposit (identified below) is included in this amount as well. We are planning to continue to offer opportunities for fund raising and are working to minimize costs in every way.
