We have flown back into the New Year and are pretty much in full swing of a brand new term at JMC & Fusion ... it feels like we were never away!!
We’re all very thankful to have just about survived the affects of all that snow and icy weather .... although that really didn’t stop us lot from having fun! We had plenty of snowballs fights, Santa managed to plough his way through the heavy snow for the JMC Christmas party and we also even had the Rector’s very own handmade snowman all kitted out with a hat and scarf keep guard outside Fusion Youth Centre!
JMC has relocated to the Committee room for a few weeks as the work will hopefully soon begin to fix our damaged radiators at our normal basecamp! Currently we’re enjoying ourselves by playing some games, doing some crafts , watching DVDs/videos and of course having a wee biscuit or two and a cup of “red juice” ( which is proving to be the most popular!) all before home time!
FUSION- To Kick us off again in 2011, we enjoyed a wee outing down the road to the Cookie Box. I must say that I hadn’t been before and was truly amazed & maybe a little bit excited over the extensive menu of cookies, milkshakes and ice-cream they had on offer! My personal choice of a Jelly Tots milkshake definitely was a good selection... I think I’ll be going on a few return visits to try something else!
As it’s the New Year, we have been thinking about all things new and a revamp of the Youth centre is a step in the right direction... once we’ve decided on the colour(s) we’ll have a night of painting to look forward too…
The idea of new logo design for FUSION , maybe even some new hoodies and also a few fundraising ideas are all being thought about over the next wee while.....
And quite recently we had a really enjoyable Quiz evening, which consisted of various rounds such as General knowledge, Celebrity who am I?, Sports and even a “Guess the logo round.” Some proved challenging enough to answer!
There’s a fun filled programme planned for the term ahead which I’m sure will keep everyone agile and alert!! Please do continue to remember in your prayers the Young People who come along to both Sunday Space and our Youth Clubs.
