February 2009
Well February has come and gone (almost) and James is now a year old. My how the last year has flown by. James is taking steps and walking between people or furniture. I'm sure it won't be long before he's running after his big brother. We had lots of fun with our Super Bowl party this year and were glad to see so many of our friends and family. The weather was great and the garage was set up for lots of fun.
James did get sick a week before his birthday and had actually gotten RSV which is a bronchial/respirtory infection that is hard on babies. He had a week of feavers and a really bad cough. He was perscribed breathing treatments and got to stay home with dad for a whole week! Happy to report that he is doing much better now and is back to playing with Big brother.
Marcus is talking more and more and now likes to sing songs too. He picks them up pretty quick, if you sing it two times to him by the third he's singing right along. He and James also started a new daycare which is at Taryn's house right across the street! Mom and Dad like that a lot. They are having lots of fun learning new things there each day and making new friends.

Marcus 2 YEARS OLD, James 11 months
Well it was a busy month. Christmas was such a blast and Marcus really knows how to open presents which he got plenty of. James is busy crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything. He wants so badly to walk and chase after big brother. And not to be out done Marcus pushed James into a table Monday before Christmas giving James his first black eye. For the record that's 2 black eyes in one months time, one for each and counting :o) Nana and Pop Pop Jack came to visit on Christmas and spend a few days with us. We had a wonderful time with them and playing with all the new toys, especially the great new train table.
Marcus had a small but nice birthday. Mom took the day off work and we went to Toys R Us and he got to pick out his own first bike. He chose a really cool Spiderman Big Wheel that makes all kinds of noises and lights up. Of course mom and dad made him get his first bike helmet too (safety first). He can't quite reach the pedals yet but still likes driving it around. That night Grandma and Grandpa came over and we had Marcus's favorite dinner, pizza and then Cake of course.
We also got a chance to visit the snow which was lots of fun for all. The snow was more ice than actual snow but dad was able to create a snowman for Marcus all the same. Everyone had fun sliding down the hills and Grandpa even got us a better sled for the next trip.

Marcus 23 months, James 10 months
Well this is a bit late coming out but tis the season for being way too busy to get anything done. The boys are growing fast and each day is a new adventure. We had James' first Thanksgiving and he had a lot of fun competing with the Turkey as the centerpiece on the table and I must say he was much cuter. I think Marcus' favortie thing at Thanksgiving was the GIANT cookie grandma Linda gave him. Marcus also managed to get his first black eye the day before everyone was coming to town. He sliped in the tub and hit the edge just right. Luckily it didn't seem to bother him too much and it is finally going away.
James has learned to crawl on all fours and loves to stand and walk (with your help of course). James had his 9 month appointment and was 19 lbs (50th percentile) and 29 1/2 inches (90th percentile) and as the doctor said he is perfect and we tend to agree.
Marcus is loving that it is almost Christmas time and is getting into it a lot more this year for sure. He LOVES the lights so much so that after Troy put them up on the house he constatly wanted to see them even after going to bed which led to him learning to climb out of his crib. So we had to convert his crib to a toddler bed and it is a new night time adventure now that he can roam about when he wants to.
They boys have a lot more fun playing together now that James is old enough to do so, but they do have their moments that is for sure. Truely brothers who are the best of friends and the worst of enemies.
We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy new year. The next set of pictures will be Christmas of course and Marcus turning TWO!! The time is flying by

Marcus 22 months, James almost 9 months
Well October has come and gone and what a busy month it was. We had costumes and candy and cake and pumpkins of course. James also learned to scoot or army crawl and gets around pretty quickly now. Marcus is cracking us up each day with some of his phrases and things he thinks to say.
Marcus had fun being a fireman and was proud to show off James the pumpkin. They did trick or trunk at the church and Marcus had fun running around. They also got to trick or treat at my work on Halloween and Marcus was frustrated that everything they handed them was "stuck" (i.e. not open) and that I kept taking it and putting it in the bag and not opening it. He did get some m&m's but not without naming each color before eating it. :o)
Mom and I took the boys to the pumpkin patch and they had a lot of fun. Marcus loved all the pumpkins, and farm animals and riding the "choo choo trian". Carving pumpkins was a blast and James thought that pumpkin was quite tasty and kept trying to eat it. Marcus loved the lit pumpkins out front and kept wanting to watch them.
Enjoy all the pictures, there are a lot, but like I said it was a busy month and they grow so fast.
Marcus 21 months, James 8 months
Well the kids are growing up FAST! Marcus continues to learn new words every day and can put up to 4 words together now. It's nice knowing exactly what he wants and he's getting closer to 2 and believe me he knows exactly whe he wants too. One of his newest phrases is "GO BEARS" so daddy loves that. He says it everytime daddy is watching football. Marcus loves being outside and as soon as he gets up in the morning wants his shoes on and to go for a walk or to the park or in mama or daddy's car. Marcus did get Croup which was not much fun and he had to do breathing treatments twice a day, but he was a champ and could even do them by himself while watching his favorite show, mickey mouse.
James is getting bigger each day and his personallity is growing. He has 6 teeth now and likes to try all kinds of new foods. He still isn't crawling but can really get around by rolling. We call him our little rolly polly and he gets where he wants to go believe me.
The boys love playing together and enjoy being brothers that is for sure. We are looking forward to next year when James is old enough to "play" with Marcus more.
Latest news
September 2008
Well the boys are busier than ever! Marcus still talking up a storm and will put 2 and 3 understandable words together now. He also loves to repeat words and wants to know the name of anything and everything. James is getting big he was at the doctors today and is now 28 inches (83%), 18 lbs. 13 oz. (58%) and a very normal head in the 57%. So catching up to big brother fast.
Marcus and James love to play together and light up every time they are together, no one can get James laughing harder than Big Brother. Marcus is always wanting to know where James is if he's not in the room like if he's sleeping. We just hope they stay so close and keep enjoying each other.
Well I hope you enjoy the new page. I will update it with pictures and info once a month still or with any special events. You can bookmark the page and add it to your favorites and look at it whenever you want. I will try and send an email when ever its updated so you can come back and check out anything new!
And yes that is me in a Bears Jersey and I'm not a sell out. I wanted a nice family picture where we were dressed the same and this is how I got it :o) I still cheer on the ninners whenever I can.
