My son Corey has inspired me his entire life, first as a little person because I wanted to do better and reach beyond life circumstances to be someone he’d be proud of.
As he grew older he continued to inspire me with his view to world possibilities, and most recently in my photography by sharing the pride he felt as his friends complemented the photos I took during my visit for his daughter’s birth and his 31st birthday. He pointed out how my photography had been a tangible factor throughout his life; something he shared, both as my model when he was a young child for my photography class (some are below) and forgotten competitions with photos of our dog Christie taken during a San Francisco visit.
It was serendipitous that those words would inspire and encourage me to forge on and take it to a more serious level. My efforts by years end resulted in publishing a coffee table book as a medium to display and show that pride.
Now I’ve moved on to the next generation of model as a continued motivator and inspiration, thus using my granddaughter’s middle name, Saray, as a part of that continuing legacy as she will always be a part of my photography.
...and thus, Sarayndipity Photos by Leawanna was born. ENJOY!
