Joe Croteau

Joe Croteau - started at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park in 1994, and has led the fly fishing program (Sasquatch Fly Fishing) since 1996. When he is not guiding, Joe teaches high school in Northglenn, CO .

Mike Stein

Mike Stein - Mike Stein is a local Coloradoan who has fished the Estes Park area for over a dozen years. He started working for the YMCA of the Rockies in 1993 where he met his future wife. Mike now lives in Berthoud, CO and works for the Boulder County School District where he is director of all after school programs. Mike has worked with Sasquatch for four years and plans on making this summer the one that counts!!!

Alex Thoele
Alex Thoele- Has lived in Estes for two summers working at the YMCA as a Day Camp counselor and playing bluegrass music anywhere someone would let him. Graduated Eastern Illinois University and is now certified to be a secondary Social Studies teacher. Alex believes that all fish should have a chance of getting photographed, not just the big ones

Rebecca Stegura

Rebecca Stegura - Rebecca comes to Sasquatch from Minnesota, and although she has lost her accent she is still hard pressed to find some cold weather... she has one goal in life - "Snowboarding"! She is attending Colorado State and studying to be a journalist. She started at Sasquatch Fly Fishing in 2006 and has quickly become the "all around worker." She not only cooks on trips but does the books, handles the schedules, and writes the paychecks! Rebecca is the one woman machine!

Conor Brown

Conor Brown - After graduating from the University of North Texas with a history degree, Conor moved to Fayetteville Arkansas. He's been spending his time there fishing and hiking while looking for a full time teaching job to keep him busy until the summer.

Brandon Morris
Brandon Morris-
Born and raised in the cornfields of Iowa. I have spent may summers out west fly-fishing and backpacking many different states. I spent my last summer at the YMCA doing a summer internship. Now that I have graduated from Iowa State University, I am now able to fulfill my dream of being a fly-fishing guide. g many different states. Melanie Schmidt

Melanie Schmidt- I am from Minneapolis, MN. I am currently a student at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a Biology major, and I plan on going on to medical school. My family has always been big on camping, so I love anything having to do with the outdoors. Being from the land of 10,000 lakes, I have been fishing ever since I was little. I recently visited Estes Park, CO and picked up fly fishing, and I absolutely loved it!

Erik Brakke
Erik Brakke:

I was born in Montana and live in Fort Collins, CO . I am an avid outdoorsman and coming from fly fishing paradises I have done it as long as I can remember. I tie my own flies and catch-and-release every fish I catch. I am attending Augustana University in Sioux Falls to play football and study to become a dentist, in that order. Looking forward to fishing...I mean working this summer with Sasquatch.

Matt Fitzgerald
Matt Fitzgerald: I grew up in Littleton, Colorado, and I have been fishing Colorado rivers and streams since I was five. I'm currently getting a degree in Computer Science at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. Being in Indiana I miss the mountains, so I cannot wait to get back home to the Mile High State and cast some lines with Sasquatch
