These pictures were taken 1-31-09. Volunteers traveled to Kentucky to rescue 17 puppies and dogs from euthanasia. These pictures show those dogs being examined by Dr. Harness and Dr. Gaywont from American Animal Hospital in Neenah. Each animal was examined, treated for parasites, and vaccinated. Some had more serious injuries and illness that will require further attention. Every animal brought back is exceptionally sweet.

Saving Paws Searching for Homes for Kentucky Rescues

Last night a group of amazing volunteers returned from Kentucky with a van load of precious cargo. They brought 17 puppies and dogs from a shelter in Kentucky that was about to euthanize them due to a lack of space. Thanks to these compasionate individuals every one of these dogs has a second chance at a forever home. Now that their immediate needs have been met the search begins for those special people who will welcome them into their family.

Last night was amazing. We had people from all walks of life who dropped everything to offer comfort to those in need. I have never been more proud of our community.

Injured Corgi Puppy

This Corgi puppy is exceptionally sweet. The volunteers have nick named him "Corky". Unfortunately he has a fairly severe injury to his front leg. He was started on immediate pain control as well as antibiotics. Further tests will be performed to determine how severe his injuries are.

This beatuiful gal is an expecting mother. She was one of the fortunate rescues brought in by Saving Paws from Kentucky. Her unborn puppies will have a better life thanks to generous hearts.
