Whirled UP Fundraiser - scottmichaeltherevelation1011

The WHIRLED UP FUNDRAISER -Raise in upwards of $100,000 for your school!

The WHIRLED UP FUNDRAISER's focus is on helping children and their families understand more of their own individual impact on the environment – and what food and other substances they consume reinforce the global impact, both healthy and toxic. WHIRLED UP FUNDRAISERS have partnered with Door to Door Organics and 41pounds.org to help schools raise in upwards of $100,000. The WHIRLED UP FUNDRAISER supports local food producers and local farms at the same time making a huge impact on the world. Two dollars from every product sold will raise money for schools and other organizations. Ten main companies will be featured in each WHIRLED UP FUNDRAISER.

These products are what most family households already purchase, making this easy to incorporate into your weekly purchases thereby insuring an economic upswing for the economy.  The program is a pilot program. Jennifer Sheridan, one of the creators of the WHIRLED UP FUNDRAISER, hopes to encourage other school districts to follow by example. Michigan State representatives, Sandy Levin and Gary Peters were contacted to monitor the results of this initiative. Once outcomes projected from the fundraiser have been met in the state of Michigan, other state-tailored WHIRLED UP FUNDRAISERS will be implemented, assisting myriad local farms, small businesses, schools, communities and the environment in each state helping local economies prosper throughout the United States and the world.

"ALL WE ARE ASKING FAMILIES TO DO IS TO BUY GROCERIES ONCE A YEAR FROM THEIR SCHOOL AT RETAIL PRICE TO HELP STIMULATE GROWTH FOR THE ECONOMY AND TO HELP SAVE THE PLANET. IT'S THAT EASY!!!!," says Jennifer Sheridan, Creator of the Whirled Up Fundraiser.

The WHIRLED UP FUNDRAISER will provide a 17 minute educational video (which can be viewed above under the Whirled Up Fundraiser tab) to educate children and adults about the depletion of our planet’s resources and what we can do to combat against it.  The goal is to get kids excited about doing their part to help spread the knowledge to as many people as they can. Order forms will be passed out and the children will be armed with important knowledge and an excitement to help save the planet.

The distribution day of the fundraiser is called the WHIRLED UP MARKETPLACE and will feature the 10 main companies participating in the fundraiser as well as a traveling farmers market complete with artists, craftsmen, small local food producers, and local farms selling local meats, cheeses, eggs and other farm fresh varieties.  We encourage children to invite their neighbors, friends and family and make the day a huge community event for all involved. According to Jenny Sheridan, the company’s founder, America has been slipping both fundamentally and particularly away from the home-grown values and meals that once sustained it, creating a hodgepodge of cultures that once together created the most influential culture in the world. In the last half-century, the country has seen almost unprecedented increases in substance use, environmental toxicity, broken family systems and the overall health of Americans. Jenny believes that all of this is the result of a country that has lost its footing when it comes to what she describes as “home-grownness,” the idea of family, community and real, home-cooked food and values. The WHIRLED UP FUNDRAISER will bridge what companies and communities can expect to gain from making health and wealth two mutually inclusive collaborators in literally making this world a better place.

LIFT THE WHIRLED UP!

We are excited that your family will be participating in the WHIRLED UP FUNDRAISER. We hope your children will be able to share some of the concepts learned through the fundraiser. This is an important and crucial time, as we are the first nation in the history of the world to be overfed and undernourished. The WHIRLED UP FUNDRAISER equips children and their families to look at the world around them with a microscope, to be diligent in educating themselves about sustainable ideas and innovations.

* Over the past decade, 300 family farms PER WEEK are being lost due to industrialized farming and commercial farming methods.

*Right now it takes 5 apples and 25 peaches to receive the same nutrition as 1 apple and 1 peach had in 1950.

*Industrialized farming brings in revenues of only $40 per acre whereas small family farms can have revenues of $1400 per acre.

* The cattle industry has just surpassed the transporation industry as the #1 contributor to global climate change.

* Over 60% of Michigan's workforce is comprised of small businesses so in order for the economy to be revitalized we must support local businesses.

The soil matrix we depend on for the very health of the planet is being compromised. A man named Sir Albert Howard studied the soils in India at the turn of the 20th century for over thirty years, and he came up with a chilling piece of evidence. He stated that the health of the soil is directly related to the health of the tribes of people living off of that soil.

As you can see around you with heart disease, cancer and diabetes on the rise as well as numerous other strange diseases and conditions popping up, we have to look at the absolute foundation for all human life, the soil. If the soil is sick then the plants that grow on that soil won’t be as healthy and the animals that live off of those plants won’t be healthy as three quarters of all the antibiotics prescribed in America are prescribed to animals. We are in turn eating the unhealthy animals and plants and we are in turn unhealthy. Europeans are one of the healthiest people on the planet, yet they spend 40% of their income on food, good quality food. Americans only spend 10% of their income on food. With every dollar you spend at the supermarket, you are voting for what kind of world you are going to leave your child. Your child and grandchildren will someday look back at this time and will say, how did they ever not see what is going on? What kind of better choices could we have made to sustain this earth and the people and animals in it.

"I CAME HERE TO START A FOOD REVOLUTION THAT I SO PROFOUNDLY BELIEVE IN. WE NEED IT. THE TIME IS NOW. WE'RE AT A TIPPING POINT MOMENT. NOW IS THE TIME WHEN IT'S RIPE - - RIPE FOR THE PICKING."  Jamie Oliver, Celebrity Chef and Food Revolutionist featured on TEDx

The best decision you can make for the world and your family’s future is to eat locally organic and sustainably grown food or to grow your own food. Food that touches human hands and food that you can trace back to the soil is the healthiest options that people have to combat diseases plaguing the American people.

"FUNNY THING IS - DRIVE-THRUS ARE KILLING MORE PEOPLE THAN DRIVE-BYS. GARDENING IS THE MOST THERAPEUTIC AND DEFIANT ACT YOU CAN DO, ESPECIALLY IN THE INNER CITY. PLUS YOU GET STRAWBERRIES." Ron Finley, Renegade Gardener born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and featured on TEDx.

This program is not just a fundraiser, it’s a movement for job creation in Michigan, the US and the world economy on a mass scale, for sustainable practices to be adopted, for sustainable businesses to be created and thrive, for the soil to be made anew, for the orphans to be freed, and to allow children the power to save the world. The power that each and every one of you have to make a difference is burning a hole in your pocket. I thank you for your time concerning this urgent matter.

"YOU'RE COLLEGE DEGREE WILL NOT MEAN ANYTHING IF YOU CANNOT EAT FROM THE SOIL, DRINK THE WATER, OR BREATHE THE AIR. THIS IS TRUE BASIC EDUCATION AND ONE THAT EVERY CHILD IN AMERICA SHOULD BE EQUIPPED WITH SO THEY CAN MAKE THE BEST DECISIONS FOR THEIR HEALTH AND THE HEALTH OF THE PLANET,"  Jennifer Sheridan, Creator of the WHIRLED UP Fundraiser

ONCE UPON ORPHANS Foundation - SAVE the planet SAVE the children......

WHIRLED UP FUNDRAISER's aim is to work with adoption agencies to ultimately place orphaned children into loving caring homes and pay for their living expenses until they are 18 years of age. A portion of proceeds of every fundraiser will grow a fund for the families who choose to adopt. Research has shown a decline in fertility but there are still so many children that need loving homes making a family for those who cannot conceive an obtainable goal. The fund will pay out the full living expenses for the families who adopt a child thereby allowing the families the opportunity to use the money for things like paying off debt, mortgages, starting sustainable family businesses, saving for a college fund, living expenses, and much more. This is a full circle winning combination.

LET'S HELP MAKE THE SHIFT A POSITIVE ONE!  LET'S ENTRUST THE WORLD TO THE CHILDREN - WHIRLED UP!

“To waste, to destroy our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining in the days of our children the very prosperity which we ought by right to hand down to them amplified and developed.”
Theodore Roosevelt

“We are such spendthrifts with our lives, the trick of living is to slip on and off the planet with the least fuss you can muster. I’m not running for sainthood. I just happen to think that in life we need to be a little like the farmer, who puts back into the soil what he takes out.”

Vandana Shiva, Soil Not Oil: Environmental Justice in an Age of Climate Crisis

“How can we be so arrogant? The planet is, was, and always will be stronger than us. We can't destroy it; if we overstep the mark, the planet will simply erase us from its surface and carry on existing. Why don't they start talking about not letting the planet destroy us?”
Paulo Coelho, The Winner Stands Alone

John May, The Greenpeace Story

“The single greatest lesson the garden teaches is that our relationship to the planet need not be zero-sum, and that as long as the sun still shines and people still can plan and plant, think and do, we can, if we bother to try, find ways to provide for ourselves without diminishing the world . ”
