This kit came with only one of these pages, so I decided to cut around the shapes instead of cutting in a straight line like I usually do, to stretch the paper.
I used the Flutter and Secret papers for this layout. This is one of my favorite pictures that my 8 year daughter took and these papers capture the colors of the sunset perfectly! I also used painterly petals, which I am hooked on lately!
I used the Static Collection for this layout. This is a paper collection that I have ordered MANY TIMES! I love it, it is one of my very favorites!
It was challenging to find a paper that worked with pirates, but this one did the trick! I was very happy with the result!
I love paper kits that come with die cuts to match the paper, it sure makes scrapbooking so much easier!
I am an angel fanatic, so imagine my excitement when I got to work with Prima Marketing'

I had to do very little on this page when I used Angel Breath by Prima Marketing. The paper is absolutely gorgeous!

I completed these pages for one of our Design Team Challenges. The paper is that cool Coredinations ColorCore Cardstock that I was able to rip, tear, sand, and crinkle until I reached the desired effect! I also purchased an Imaginisce flower stamp from the For Peeps Sake collection that came in handy in sprucing up the paper. I finished it off with some ribbon, buttons, and frames from the Scrapbuglane Bargain Bin and my project was complete!
You can't beat the price of these Chatterbox Frames that I purchased from the Scrapbuglane Bargain Bin! They come in different colors, and are made of a lightweight wood material. I was able to use my Imaginisce small flower stamp on them and the ink transferred beautifully!
Have you tried the Coredinations ColorCore Cardstock yet? The picture does not do the paper justice! I crinkled the strips on the left hand side and then sanded them a bit to really show off the crinkled lines. Then I tore the paper when I matted the pictures to show off the complementary color core of each piece! There are hundreds of colors to choose from, so you know you'll find the exact shade you're looking for!
Recycled Items was the theme of this months challenge! We recycle cans, bottles, and newspapers regularly, but I didn't have much to choose from to add to a card! So I picked the soda pop-top. I also added Large Silver Eyelets by We R Memory Keepers to add to the silver tone. I fell in love with the flower paper which came from the Memoirs Collection from Inque Boutique. Overall I'm happy with the card... I tried to think outside the box and not just produce a square shaped card. I'm not sure if I like how my angles turned out!
Origami!! I was a little skeptical at first about trying origami for the first time. But this little sea turtle was so adorable! (Visit TammyYee.com for this and many other origami printable pages!) I have to say that I tried for 2 days to create my own "surfboard"! It was impossible! So I finally turned to the Island Collection by 3 Bugs in a Rug! The paper was perfect and I was able to cut out a perfectly sized surfboard! At first I thought the card was too childish, so I tried to add some design elements that will give it a little more class. I especially like the clouds I made with white ink!
This month's challenge was to try a mosaic design! I was feeling VERY girly, so I chose lots of pink! I finished it off by using the Alpha Buttons clear stamps from Sassafras Lass. And I ripped a piece of Paper Ribbon Elements from Daisy Bucket to add some "flair" in the bottom right corner!
This month we were asked to incorporate a real picture into our cards. I had to crop out my children from each side of this wooden soldier! Yes - it was hard at first, but I sacrificed for the good of the group! 8-)
I think this was my favorite card I have ever made! For the first time, I cut out an oval in the front of the card to peek through to the inside. Then I added a bunch of embellishments to make the card really stand out. Each snowflake has a sparkly center thanks to the Stickles Glitter Glue! The snow has a 3-dimensional effect thanks to Liquid Aplique! (Available in 4 colors at scrapbuglane.com!)
I finally tried some powder embossing! And I didn't burn myself on my hot dryer! The hearts were stamped with embossing ink, and then I sprinkled embossing powder over the stamp. Once I dried it with the hot dryer, it looked picture perfect! It was a lot of fun to use... I will definitely use it again! I printed the "I Miss You" on vellum paper, and I thought it would be enough to finish off the card. However, it still looked a little plain. Luckily I had some self adhesive Magic Mesh to finish off the job!
Since January's card used powder embossing, I thought I'd try dry embossing! The 'Thanks' message was dry embossed with my Sizzix machine. This card was really simple to complete by punching out a flower that mimicked the flowers on my pattern paper. The hard part was tying all those tiny knots in the centers of the flowers!
This card is another personal favorite of mine! I used paper from the Hoopla Collection by We R Memory Keepers. I loved cutting out the big flowers from the Bustle paper! For a while I cut out many images from pattern paper, instead of using the whole sheets! The card was finished off with the lime green ric rac available in the Bargain Bin at ScrapBugLane.com
This month we were asked to incorporate office supplies into our design. I chose a big metal clip that really pops off the page!
Another simple card in neutral tones with a cute turkey stamp! Again, it was a little TOO simple, so I added some Magic Mesh that I got from ScrapBugLane.com!
Another favorite! (I'm beginning to think they're all favorites!!) I used a cool flower stamp to make my own pattern paper, and then stamped an extra flower, cut it out, and added it as a dimensional element. I topped it off my printing the saying on a piece of vellum and attaching it with some small brads!
I thought I'd try something new with this card! Rather than folding one piece of Coredination ColorCore Cardstock into a card, I took two separate squares and tied them together using ScrapBugLane.com Bargain Bin ribbon! I love the way it turned out!
Believe it or not, this card was completed using the scraps I had left over from the Design Team layout challenge! I didn't want to throw away the scraps of Coredination ColorCore Cardstock, extra Bargain Bin buttons or ribbon, so I improvised! I sanded the cardstock and distressed the edges to make this one of a kind card!
Isn't this Flower stamp from the 'For Peeps Sake' collection by Imaginisce just adorable? I used a marker to color the stamp different colors rather than using a solid ink pad! The result is multi-colored flowers that pop off the card! More Coredinations ColorCore Cardstock and Bargain Bin buttons make this card too cute for words!
These Bo Bunny Word Albums are so easy to transform into something spectacular! All you really have to do is add paper to the heavy cardboard base! I used the Baby Powder Collection from Imaginisce.
Page 1 of this album makes a nice title!. I used some A la Card Stickers by 7 Gypsies to make the cute tags on the binding.
I used this page to stamp in the name of my good friend's baby - a beautiful baby girl born on June 27th!
No baby book is complete without the important information about the baby's birth! I used the Baby Stats stamp from Imaginisce to create a spot for Mom to put in the data!
This album definitely needed a spot for for a big 4x6 picture! I topped off the frame by layering Large and Small Florals from Heidi Swapp, and centering the flower with a Designer Gromlet from We R Memory Keepers.
I was considering leaving off the back page of the album, but then I thought that adding a space for 2 more pictures would make more sense. I put two simple frames and spiced them up with satin ribon and Extra Large Eyelets by We R Memory Keepers.
We had a challenge to create an altered item using only the supplies given to us from ScrapBugLane.com! I used the Steel Magnolias Antique Brass flower by Imaginisce on the cover of my accordian album. The Say It In Crystals Butterfly Swirls by Prima Marketing enhanced every page of the album!
