I updated our new address in the latest journal entry as there was an error. We will live on Cleveland STREET not avenue.
Hello to family and friends who are keeping up with the Kardash...er...uh...the Andersons. We are moving in 9 days!!! New address:
Brandon & Sarah Anderson
16015 Cleveland St. #326
Redmond, WA 98052
We had been thinking about moving closer to Brandon's school for some time now. Since we share a car and Brandon will be spending extensive time at school on projects and homework and whatnot, we thought it best to live close enough so that he wouldn't have a massive commute home, and better yet, be able to bike or walk to and from school, enabling me to use the car to get to work in Renton. In all honesty, I could transfer to the Redmond Target and we would ditch the car altogether, BUT, getting to church and small group would prove to be much more difficult...plus, road trips would be outta the question.
We are super psyched about our new apartment. It will be the nicest place we've ever lived together. Its a BRAND SPANKIN' NEW building called Red160 (original, I know). Our unit is a one bedroom with a nice open floor plan. the kitchen has excellent counter space and stainless steel appliances. We have a balcony that overlooks the rooftop courtyard. It is equipped with our own laundry room with lots of storage space.
Some of the best features of our new home are the surroundings. There is a bike path that runs along a river leading to Brandon's school! We are right across the street from Trader Joe's AND Ben Franklin crafts store! Everything is within walking distance (whereas where we are now requires an uphill walk (both ways) to get anywhere and some shady neighborhoods to boot). Redmond is just beautiful. Also...Wendy's is right next door and open til 1am! Haha.
Well, all silliness aside, we are feeling EXTREMELY blessed to have gotten this place and hope to call it home for at least the next four years while Brandon is in school. We are finally to that point in time that we've been working towards for the past couple years. Brandon is in school at DigiPen Institute of Technology for a Bachelor of Arts in Game Design (a Badger, as they call it). He's already made lots of friends and is excited about the intensity of the program (they say it only gets harder from here). On the upside, they say if you can survive DigiPen, you can definitely survive the industry.
As for me, I am happily working at Target with a great team of people, but retail is certainly not my calling. I am praying much these days about the next steps.
The Bunny is doing well and crazy as always. We are allowing her into our bedroom at night now. We've taken apart our bed frame in the process of packing, but before, when it was all put together, she would jump onto our heads from the headboard in the middle of the night. Now that its down, she's a little less of a pest. She is our entertainment for sure though. She plays fetch, LOVES to play with plastic bags, intently watches the squirrels outside and greets us at the door every time we come home. We call her Bunny Baguette because she stretches out on the floor or when we pick her up and she's so long and lean, she reminds us of a french baguette.
Well, that is all for now. Brandon is asleep and I must go follow suit. School for him and work for me tomorrow, then Discipleship Community at Blue Sky in the evening. Love you all and miss you much!
