Yes, I can do both Mondays the 14th and 21st. After that I go back to work and can only do the 3rd and 4th tuesdays/wednesdays of the month. If there are other volunteer needs like that for an hour or so I can do them on those days.

Reyna, the buses will take all kids to the field trip and if parents are there to take their children home afterwards, they will sign out at the patch. All other child will also ride the buses back to school for pick up.

I would like to conference for Luke on Friday, March 2nd around 2:15 if you have an opening.  I have conferences myself the following Tuesday and won't be able to schedule a time that day.  Let me know and I will add it to my calender.  Also, do you want me to come and do anything for Read Across America Day?  I could bring things, read or come up with an activity.  Lastly, I would like to bring cupcakes or some other treat the last Friday in March...I think it is the week you guys get back from Spring Break...for Lukie's birthday.  Thanks.

Dear Parents, What a great day we have just had with our "Q and U" wedding! I wanted to give all of you credit for making it one of the best days these Kinders will have this year! Thank you for everything each and everyone of you did for our day! The kids loved being dressed up, eating in the classroom and they didn't even ask or mind that we didn't go outside..lol. I also want to thank Will Duke for dressing and giving away our bride Q, and to Steven and Niki Oldham for their willingness to help, and take time out of their schedule for our class!! A big gigantic thank you to Ms. Miller!!  The wedding of Q and U was so cute and so much fun!!  Thanks for doing such cute and creative activities with the kids!!!  :)

Dear Parents,

It is the day before our big day for Q and U!!!!  We have practiced today for the event and talked about why this wedding is important:)  Some have asked about attire for tomorrow, I really want the kids to go all out(as if they are attending a real wedding)!!  Last year the children had such a great day being all dressed up.  It is a really fun day that we have planned. 

If you plan on joining us, please be here in the classroom by 12:30.  I do ask that no one comes early tomorrow so that we can practice and get ready for you.  I will take the children to the computer lab to begin our march so I will have the room open so you can get a seat.  If you want to take pictures, please wait til the ceremony or afterwards.  If parents start coming in the computer lab, the children will might get embarrassed.  I want them to have a great time!

Good Afternoon,

We had a great day back after the weekend and even though it looked like rain most of the day, we were able to get out for track time and recess!!  The kids were also invited for a little tour of our newly constructed greenhouse by Mr. Collins and they loved it!

This afternoon we discussed the wedding a little and they are pumped about Q and U's ceremony!!  I told the children which parts they would be playing in the wedding and that our book buddies and Mrs. Yates class would be our audience for the day!  I had a picture of the class from last year and showed them how dressed up they were for the wedding.  If you would like to look at some of the pictures from last year, visit the picture and video section in last year's albums.  I did let them know that we WILL NOT be playing outside that day and I plan to eat lunch in the classroom so that I can keep an eye on their clothing.  It will be a lot of fun, however, a learning experience for many "qu" words to come!  You should receive an invitation for the ceremony today in your child's folder, please join us for the fun if you can!

I wanted to post this yesterday when I found out our grand total and ran out of time, but we did it!!!!!!!!!  Our classroom raised a whopping $1322.38, I am soooooo very proud of all of you parents and your children for making our fundraiser such a huge success!!  We will be having our Fun Run party on the 30th.  They have chosen a "Movie Day" so I will send more details later.  They are so funny and proud that I will not be getting a pie in my face.

Today, I will be sending home information with passwords and usernames for Reading online through the the Scott Foresman Reading Website.  You can get to this site by scrolling down to links.  Once you are there, sign in using these names provided.  I have your child's books ready for online reading!!!  Enjoy:))

Also, I will send home Reading folders tomorrow with a book(please keep inside the Ziploc bag provided for transport) and report to fill out.  Please help your child read the book(use the paper on the folder for ideas) and fill out the book report.  Please allow your child to write the Author, Book Title, Name, and Date by themselves.  It may take a couple of different days to do this.  They get really good at this so it only puts them behind if you do it for them:)  At the beginning, have them draw a picture using details and color about their favorite part of the story and write at least one or two words about it on the line. Make this a fun activity with your child, these folders are due back NO later than Friday of the week.  This is the day I change books out for the following week.
