Welcome

Hi everyone and Welcome to my shutterfly site where you can keep up to date on whats going on all the time. Since I am forever shooting, some of my favorites will be posted here so you can check them out regularly. I will also keep you informed about what my latest venture is and what I hope to accomplish this month! :)

Through my work, I am on a quest to bring community programs for Alzheimer's patients and their caregivers to communities across the world. Alzheimer's Disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the US and robs us of our independence, dignity, and sadly our precious life memories. As a historian of sorts, documenting life through my lens, the loss of the favorite times in my life would be devastating and I know it can happen as I witness it firsthand through my caregiving for my mother in law who has lost so much of herself to this disease. I miss her. I miss the mother and grandmother who would do anything to help you and who always had the right words to say to make things better. Now, she can not remember how to spell or write, has difficulty expressing herself and trouble reading. Those are just a few of the minor symptoms and the others we struggle with privately everyday. There are programs out there for AD research, but none for the millions of caregivers and their patients who live with the disease everyday and try to get through each one. Providing programs that will keep a quality of life for those affected is my goal. I know that I am going through this for a reason and it is to make a difference for others somehow. It is never far from my thoughts or my heart.

End of Summer Days

My two favorite times of year are spring and fall and the season is about to change. The sweltering, rainy days of summer are almost over and the cool, fresh days of fall are about to begin. This presents many photo opportunities as the leaves change and fall exposing birds and wildlife more visibly. The coolness of the air puts a spring in the step of farm animals and those on the ranch. As families prepare for the holidays, don't forget to make it a tradition to do your family portrait. Life changes in an instant. Be sure to have grandparents participate. As the years pass, their appearance will change considerably. As fall sports like football, cheerleading, winter baseball league and ice hockey gear up, there are lots of great activities to get you out of the house. Watch for new pictures to be posted soon :)

Headed to the Keys

Will have some great scenery shots to bring home soon!

June 10, 2009

Spending alot of time these past few weeks shooting a fishing tournament in beautiful Boca Grande, FL. I have also ventured into working with an up and coming worldwide fishing website where I will be doing tournament updates, interviews, and photo uploads. I am looking forward to this great opportunity and God has again, opened another door for me. (Thank you!)
