Welcome to "Sherrys One Of A Kind" beaded medical alert bracelets

My name is Sherry Carlson and I am a beading artist.

About six years ago I was diagnosed with a very rare medical condition called Cushing’s disease which requires me to wear a Medic Alert bracelet. My disease actually started around 1999. It took around 5 years to find the correct diagnosis.

The bracelets I saw in the stores did not satisfy my taste so I looked everywhere to find ones I liked.  I didn’t find any so I began making my own beaded bracelets. Since then it has become a hobby of mine.  I wear one to match each outfit and it is lots of fun to mix and match.

What I do to craft these bracelets is make a basic but shortened bracelet with beads and findings, I then fasten lobster claws to each end for attaching the Medic Alert tag.  To order a specialized Medic Alert tag to your own unique condition, I have several websites that are very reasonable on pricing or you can buy one from your local drug store with your specific condition.  I take special orders which allow you to choose beads based on your own style and size.  I will size all bracelets to fit. I can also turn your own special bracelets into medic alert bracelets by cutting the ends off to size and adding lobster claws to each end.

If you have ever looked online these types of bracelets can be very expensive. My prices are very reasonable, from $10-$30 per bracelet. Lot’s in the $10-15 range. My goal is to save lives.

I also have 14 K gold overlay vintage charms from the mid 1900’s in mint condition for only $16.00 a charm. They are made by Cheever-Tweedy in the original packaging # 7893 size 1x1 cm;. They make a nice addition to your bracelet so it dangles and the medic alert tag will stand out for the medical personnel.  I can also get charms for $6.00 in silver or gold tone.
