Silver Cedars Cabin is located 10 miles from Government Camp/Mt Hood along Lolo Pass Road in Zig Zag Village right on the Sandy River. The cabin is situated at the end of a road with spectacular views into a 22 acre wooded parcel and a year long creek 15' from the cabin. The cabin is completely renovated as of Christmas 2008 (only the framing is original). The cabin has a modern/rustic feel with hand-made custom furniture, unique flooring and concrete countertops. The highlight of the cabin is the 10' long kitchen window overlooking the creek. The master bedroom is an open loft upstairs with a queen bed and a pull-out futon double love seat. The downstairs bedroom also has a queen bed. The living room has a new queen-size sofa bed. So the cabin can sleep 6-8 people. You can also relax on the large deck (partially covered) on the side and enjoy the HOT TUB at the back of the cabin.

The kitchen is equipped with an espresso machine, drip coffee maker, french press, pancake machine, Quesadilla Maker, George Foreman Grill, condiments, spices, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. For the kids, there is a farm animal waffle maker and a toaster that puts Mickey Mouses face on the toast. We have Legos, Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys, lots of games and the latest movies. We also have a port-a-crib and a booster chair for infants/toddlers. Washer/dryer and an outdoor grill are also available.

We also have an amazing movie collection with new releases for young and old: Avatar, Iron Man 2, Transformers2, Karate Kid, Toy Story 3 to name a few plus a 100 more! There is a speaker dock for your ipod or other music device.

ACTIVITIES NEAR BY
The Sandy River is right across the street with a rope swing for the kids and fishing. There are plenty of trails within walking distance and a community pool just down the road. The ski resorts, including Ski Bowl and Summit Ski Resort and the turn off for Timberline, are just 10 miles away. Cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, bike riding and hiking are literally just feet from the cabin. The National Forest boundary is just a few miles away where you can hike to waterfalls and snowmobile. There are plenty of restuarants to choose from in the towns of Welches, Zig Zag and Rhododendron. The closest grocery store is just 3 miles away. The Resort at the Mountain Golf Course is approximately 5 miles away.

*175/night for weekends with 2 night minimum
*140/night for weekdays with 2 night minimum
*185/night for holidays with 3 night minimum including Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Presidents Day, Easter, MLK and Spring Break, Dec 16-22

*Rate based on 6 person maximum. An additional $15 per person per night will be assessed. Children 6 and under are free.

Many thanks for allowing our family a last minute booking to briefly escape the 100 degree plus temps back in the valley. The cooler evenings, nearby river, quiet woods, local pool, and inspiring cabin have given our clan a needed get-away. WE would love to return, and gratefully feel reminded of how much splendor on the mountain is so close to where we live! We've had a great weekend full of adventure and relaxing. We love your cabin and its location. Hiked up to Mirror Lake yesterday. Will spend some time at the river and swimming in the pol today. We had a wonderful time at the Silver Cedars! The boys loved the toys, video games, DVDs, and the creek (the most). Can't forget the farm waffles...they thought they were so cool. Your cabin is a wonderful getaway. Very relaxing! I really enjoyed cooking in your kitchen with the very nice large windows. What a view! Also we really enjoyed our evenings sitting on the porch with a fire. OUr 5 year old granddaughter had a wonderful time watching movies and playing with the toys. A great place for kids! What a wonderful home you have! We enjoyed our stay immensely! Our 19 mo. old really enjoyed the hikes, throwing rocks in the water, the cow shaped waffles and the legos. My favorite party of the cabin (and trust me, it was hard to choose) was the windows in the kitchen. WOW!! Our stay here was lovely, although too short indeed. We spent three days in "the woods" in June 2009. The kids enjoyed the well-chosen toys, spent hours at the creek, and we all enjoyed walking around on the local trails. The cabin is outstanding; well designed, nicely arranged and has an excellent "feel" with all the glazing. We have used VRBO numerous times over the last 17 years and this place is one of the best we have found. WE WILL COME BACK!
Thank you especially for making it reasonable and accomodating. You obviously have put a lot of work into this cabin. Thank you very much.

Our family stayed at the cabin over the New Year's weekend and loved our stay. The cabin has been completely remodeled with a designer's eye and fine craftmanship. The bathroom is amazing and felt spa-like. The kitchen is beautiful and has a wonderful panoramic view of a creek and woods. Our kids were pleasantly surprised to see the cabin supplied with games and toys as well! We slept great too-- the beds/bedding were very comfortable as well. We will definitely come back!!
