Sing with Pride are rehearsing on 20th and 27th October, usual time and place, before we sing at the 'No to Hate Crime' vigil on the evening of 28th at the Forum in Norwich. We're then taking a break until the beginning of January 2012 but are planning to have an informal Pride singaround / music evening in November and also possibly again in December. Watch this space for further details!

October/November performance update: Our next performance is on Friday 28th October in the evening at the 'No to Hate Crime' vigil in Norwich, as the launch of the Out140 book has been put back to early next year.

Rehearsals start again on 1st September - 7-9pm at the United Reform church meeting room on Princes Street - and we will be working on some new Out140 stories that have been set to music by Kimberley Moore. Kimberley will be leading the session in the 1st, and Mary Lovett - our Musical Director - is back on the 8th September. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Sing with Pride are having a short break over the summer. Rehearsals will start again at the United Reformed Church on Princes Street in Norwich on Thursday 1st September, 7-9pm. HOWEVER there is a 1-off workshop taking place on Thursday 11th August at St Margaret's Church on St Benedicts - 7-9pm - which is a great opportunity for anyone thinking of joining us to come along and find out more.

Saturday 30th July: Choir meet just before 12noon at Chapelfield bandstand for workshop and performance until 12.30; Parade at 2.30, then we open the Millennium Plain show at 3.30. Choir must be at the side of the stage by 3.20. It's going to be fab!

Choir members have been getting themselves kitted out with brightly coloured tee-shirts to wear for our performances: Not sure if we've got the full set of rainbow colours yet but I have seen purple, yellow, orange, red being sported. Plus a very nice white one, which blends in beautifully. We shall be a walking, singing rainbow!

Arrangements for singing at Rainbow Market 16th July at St Gregory's, Pottergate: This will be an informal, busking-style session either outside St Gregory's or inside if it's raining. Choir please meet at 11.45 so we can start singing at 12noon. We'll be finished by 1pm and any money we raise will go toward Norwich Pride funds. Hope to see you there!

If Choir members can't make it to the Rainbow Market at St Gregory's on 16th July, where we will be having 'Sing with Pride' t-shirts printed, please bring a plain coloured t-shirt (in a rainbow colour or pink, please) to rehearsal on 14th and we'll take it along and get it printed for you. There will be a small charge for printing of - we think - £3-£5.

Over the Rainbow: a new arrangement that Mary is currently working on.
We're also going to be working on 'Afternoon Delight' which we may perform.
The words and recordings of all these will appear in the 'songs section' of this website so that Choir members can practise outside of rehearsals.

Shell will be bringing the beautiful, finished Norwich Pride banner to rehearsal tonight, 30 June so people will be able to spot their mini-me's and the mini 'Sing with Pride' banner on it!

Hi everyone,
A quick reminder that the choir is starting rehearsals again on Thursday 23rd June. Everyone is welcome, particularly if you'd like to join us on stage at Norwich Pride on 30th July and / or at the North Norfolk Pride beach party in Cromer on the 31st.
At 6.30 on the 23rd you are invited to attend a short full choir meeting where the Committee will give an update on the following items and you'll have the opportunity to share any of your news. The rehearsal will then start at 7.
1. News from Committee: update re project funding and donations received.
2. Busking opportunity
3. Autumn performance opportunities - diary dates and information: Burston rally / Raise Your Banners Festival of Political Song / No to Hate Crime vigil / World Aids Day
4. Plans for Pride events: London / Norwich / Cromer - including possibility of doing a song immediately before the showing of Mama Mia at Cinema City on Thursday 28 July, the evening of our final rehearsal before Norwich Pride on 30th July.
