Customize Your Pit was a special clinic held at Biggs Harley-Davidson on 101 in Oceanside.

It was free to low-income residents of Oceanside, Vista and San Marcos and their Pits, Chows, Rotties, and Chihuahuas.

All of the breeds mentioned are overrepresented in local shelters. The CYP clinic was a step to reducing those numbers.

Students learned that box turtles don't make good pets: they are wild animals. In captivity most die quickly.
