The Somerset County Animal Response Team (CART) is a volunteer based organization that is under the auspices of the Office of Emergency Management and was formed by FEMA.
CART Members provide shelter, food and medical care to pets unable to stay with their families or that are lost or left behind during an emergency.
Our main message is for citizens to prepare to take care of their pet in an emergency.
Volunteer with us! We can use Vets, Vet Techs, ACOs, groomers and other animal professionals. We also can use non-animal experienced volunteers who would be willing to help with registration, cleaning and other CART roles.
