Southampton is perfect place to plan your fun summer family vacation... there are many beautiful beaches to explore, the Bruce County Museum is steps away from the downtown core, the Southampton Art school offers many interesting coarses for all ages, Southampton's main street offers the delicious baking from the "Offshore Bakery" and the incredible international cuisine from "Armen's Cafe" you can enjoy on his rooftop patio, Jeanette and Tim will get you set up for a day of adventure down the Saugeen River with a canoe or kayak, don't forget to stop into Mary Ellen Harrigan's 100 Mile Market for some grocery supplies, also just outside of Southampton South on HWY 21 is the fabulous "Hi-Berry" farmers market with fresh produce grown and sold, you can book a boat tour through the "Southampton Propeller Club" to tour over to Chantry Island and see the rebuilt Lighthouse, stop into "Loose Leaves" tea and coffee shop on the main street to meet friendly Joleen for tea time, there is a brand new play park for kids beside the Southampton water tower that is a great spot to play and have a picnic with your family, or go for a walk around "Fairy Lake" at the top of High street - you might get to experience an outdoor concert in the band shell or a visit from the swans and ducks, so many more things to see and do! One last "must-do" is to buy an ice cream cone and wander down to the flag pole one evening to watch the sunset as you stroll along the beach boardwalk.
