Ø 10.10.13 Mrs. Peterson requested $99.95 for an internet subscription to A-Z reading. Will be mostly used by her class, but all of Kindergarten can share. Request approved.
Ø 10.10.13: Mrs. Kerestes requested $370.00 for her and Mrs. Duncan to go to a 2 day Kindergarten conference in Indianapolis. Conference has been very beneficial in the past. Request approved.
Ø 11.14.13: No requests this meeting
Ø 9.12.13 Spring fundraiser was semi-successful ($3,666.04). We will revisit buying more computers, specifically laptops, after Fall Fundraiser. 11.14.13: Trashbag Fundraiser approximate profit: $6,700.00. Pickup date Nov. 20 3-5:30 in caferteria. Mrs. Spence said to hold off on buying anymore computers because the school might be going towards individual components like tablets or Ipad, etc. We might be asked to support with software purchases.
Ø 9.12.13: Box Tops: There will be 4 pick-up dates for Box Tops this year. 10.10.13: First Pick-up date is Friday, October 18. We will submit before November 1 deadline and hope to get a check in December. 11.14.13: $1,318.80 Submitted to Box Tops.
Ø 9.12.13: Teacher Conference Dinner: 4:00-5:00pm on Tuesday, October 22. Kenna Jean Foxworthy to cater for approx. 70. 10.10.13: Quoted price of $6.75 per person for potato bar, soup, dessert, drinks. Mrs. Spence said that Primary Elem and Upper Elem will be watching movies with a snack (optional donation $1) so that teachers can get an early start on conferences as in the past. 11.14.13: Teacher Conference Dinner Cost $455.00
Ø 10.10.13: Mrs. Spence reported that 6th had received a $7500 grant for their annual trip to Chicago. J
Ø 9.12.13: Children’s Museum Family Outreach Night: Alison Acton has been working on making this happen. We have picked March 5 as the date and Flight as the Theme. We can only have 400 students/parents so we need to limit to only certain grade levels. 10.10.13: We decided the invitation will go out to 2nd-4th grade. Some type of ticket system will be used for entry. “This entitles one student and 2 adults, etc.” Siblings will not be able to participate. Maybe a first come first served or maybe asking for response of who is interested and who is not. Also discussed utilizing National Honor Society students to help out and get service points. 11.14.13: Mrs. Jones (guidance counselor) is the sponsor for National Honor Society.
Ø 11.14.13: Family Fun Night Tentative Date: February 7. Discussion: Presale Bracelets for admission maybe higher price at door, serve dinner (soup, chili, hot dogs, spaghetti), bounce houses, possible Zumba in ½ the gym, board games in library, possible computer lab open, craft in art room (oriental co.), basketball or other activities in gym, silent auction.
Ø 11.14.13: Discussed Box Top Contest: school to reach certain goals and then teachers/staff would have to do something (ie, kiss a pig, dress in opposite clothes, dunk tank, duct taped to wall, pie in face, etc.) top class do the honors of taping principal to wall. Will discuss further.
