First convened in January, 2006 , the doctoral student committee’s primary purpose is to advise the faculty steering committee on matters pertaining to the creation of a UC-wide Center for the benefit of all faculty and students with interests in special education, disabilities, and developmental risk. The committee comprises doctoral students and post-doctoral fellows from across the UC system who are currently engaged in research in the field of SPEDDR. Our mission includes not only advising the faculty steering committee, but also engaging in outreach to students and post-docs who frequently have limited contact with colleagues at their own campus.
