Held every 3 or 4 years - this was the 4th Reunion and the first to be held on the West Coast - Laguna Seca Raceway hosted the event which attracted cars and Porsche racing fans from all over.... Reportedly 78,000 tickets were sold to the event. Friday, 10-14 through Sunday, 10-16-2011....I attended on Saturday. The morning was typically gray, cool, and cloudy, with the sun finally appearing at about 1:30 - photos are mostly from the Paddock. A few 'on track' photos from the first two run groups were taken from the 'corkscrew'.

PreHistoric Races 8.8 - 8.9.09
The week before the popular Monterey Historic Auto Races, many of the cars, racers, and teams appear for a weekend of practice. The weekend is unpublicized. There's no admission fee to the track, and details are hard to come by. But you can enter Laguna Seca park through the South entrance, pay your $6 to enter, and enjoy Saturday and/or Sunday watching the Historic Racing cars on the track. Arrangements vary from year to year, and this year the paddock was closed to visitors, but not 'too tightly' closed - so you'll find some nice photos included here. Photography is better this weekend than the next since the crowds are much thinner and the photo cut outs normally accessible only to the media/photographers are open to us amateurs. I 'communted' in Saturday and Sunday, but some of the Speedsterowners and a couple from Spyder Club camped on the premises and enjoyed a longer stay. This is on my calendar for 2010 for sure.
