I love the market!
Spent the morning today at the market in Colonial Williamsburg, I love the fresh produce and flowers there every week, and the cheese is fantastic! I think my favorite thing, though, is seeing all the dogs. Its like a parade of different breeds. It never amazes me how true the old adage that people looks like their dogs!!
The Fourth of July, Wine, and Fraternity Life (redux)
Stephen and I spent the fourth of July this year in Afton, Virginia -- just outside of Charlottesville in the Shenandoah mountains. Our first getaway just the two of us since we've been married! We booked a great little B&B and spent the Fourth of July at Wintergreen going to the art show and watching the fireworks. The new shots are my first ever attempt at lowlight photography, so please be kind :) Saturday we took a tour of 4 Virginia Wineries -- with a tour guide and (the best part!) a driver. Discovered a new winery - Pollak vineyards, only been open for 7 weeks and very definitely worth the trip. Sunday was a slow and meandering trip home down the blueridge parkway and into Lexington to see Stephen's Fraternity (Sigma Nu) Headquarters. He still won't tell me any of their secrets though, so I had to be content to photograph the symbols as he told me to :)
Marina Cookout
Spent Saturday down at the Kingsmill marina, grilling out, playing in the water, and spending time with good friends. The water was warm, the weather was beautiful, and the company was great. As Bryan says, "It doesn't get any better than this".
Weddings
We spent the weekend in mid October down in Myrtle Beach attending Heather and Preston's wedding. We're so happy for them, and can see how much in love they are! Hope the pictures caught a glimpse of their day :)
