St George the Martyr Church Album - 2672 - Meditations on Life and Death 2009-02-21

The Art Council of St. George the Martyr Anglican Church announced a Lenten Season art exhibition with the theme "Meditations on Life and Death." The show features the work of ten accomplished local artists using acrylics, oils, pen and ink, Ukranian eggs, and photographs. Original poetry will also be on display. Of particular interest is the presentation of 21 pieces artwork by inmates of Perry Correctional Institution in Pelzer.

A special reception, open to the public, was held to meet the artists and see their work at the church parish hall on Friday, February 20, 7-9 PM.

This exhibit is at St. George the Martyr Church,
427 Batesville Rd., Simpsonville, SC.

Exhibition hours are 9 AM to 1 PM, Tuesday to Friday –February 23 to April 17.
