2:00: field #04 wear all orange, be there at 1:00

Final : 6:30, Complex C, wear all blue, be there at 5:30

Breakfast is included at the hotel.

Should be a great close to the season!

Hey All:

Despite the outcome this past weekend the girls showed they could compete with the best teams in the state. It's likely that both Team Boca and Westside could advance into the round of 8 and possibly 4. Remember that those teams play in FSL and that competition is a notch up from where we compete. The unfortunate thing is that if we had made it to the round of 16 then we would have automatic placement in FSL (if that's what the team chooses). I'm not saying we can't get in but it will be harder.

Concessions: We have to cover concessions this Saturday from 10-1. If you did not volunteer during the week last week, please sign up for a spot this weekend. Thanks!

Possible re-schedule for the game we will miss the Nike Cup weekend MAY be this Sunday morning at Jonesville. This is tentative depending on numerous things (refs, coach, players available, church, other team etc) I'll update you as soon as its worked out. Let me know if you can't participate on Sunday. It's just one possible day. Is anyone opposed to making up a game on Mother's day? I am, but let me hear from you guys. It's a team decision. It's an option for the make-up FC United game propsed by that team.

Page found a holiday inn express in Bonita Springs. I called this am and they have 31 double rooms. The lady said she would give me a rate of $72.00 plus breakfast. This hotel is only a mile or two further than the other. Let's all cancel the Marriott Courtyard and move to the HIE. This will also save the team money as we pay for Coach Chapman's room.

You have until Thursday to cancel the Marriott room.

All:

Katia needs a ride to Saturday's game. I have attached a contact list so please contact Rob Livingston if you can give Katia a ride. For those who didn't know, Kayla Wilson made the choice not to continue with the 15's. Because we have only 13 field players and 2 keepers it is especially important to communicate if you will be missing a game here or there. Everyone is usually really good about this and letting me know ahead of time allows me to re-schedule if we don't have enough players. We will re-schedule the March 17th game since we have 4 players missing that day. I don't know what the re-schedule date is yet. Since it is a home game for us, I will try for a Friday under the lights game.

These are the people I have heard from that are out for a game:

March 17th: Leah, Soleil, Susanne, Sarah :GAME BEING RESCHEDULED.

March 31st: Kaitlin

April 28th: Delilah (this is 2nd round of state cup) she has a AP history exam.

The whole club is doing the Nike tournament in Orlando on May 19th and 20th. That means us too so mark your calendar. This is in lieu of the memorial day tournament. I will forward the e-mail from Sheldon Cipriani stating why we are doing this tournament rather than a memorial day tournament. Our last league game is that weekend so I will also reschedule that game.

PS: if you still have fundraisig money, please turn it in!

Congratulations to the girls on winning the showcase: I think they may have been the only GSA team to win!

Next, our schedule is out for the first round of state cup. We have a 3:30 game against Team Boca on Saturday and a 9:30 game against the Tampa team on Sunday. We are in a three team group and the top two teams go through to either challenge round 2 or the round of 16. I don’t know if any of you will want to cancel your room on Friday and drive on Saturday with our game being so late on Saturday. If you choose to do this please don’t cut it short with traffic etc. Also, that is a long drive for the girls to be in a sitting position before they play so take extra time so they are not getting out of the car and warming up immediately.

I am trying to schedule a friendly with the Westside team for Friday night March 2^nd. I know Erica will be out of town. I need to know before I do this if anyone else will be missing.

Oh… we are really going to need the funds from the candle sales. If you didn’t get a packet, please contact Christine Dautel. I think we should extend the fundraiser until next week and see if we can’t get some more sales.

This will help us avoid another assessment so we can all pay for our gas to travel to these gamesJ We have ref fees for state cup also of $50/game.

We are in Plantation Florida/Pine Island, for the 1st round of state cup.

We got an okay draw: us, Team Boca (usually have really good teams) and FC Tampa Terminators. Hopefully I'll have time to work on the hotel this afternoon.

Hi parents,

First just want you guys to know I'm very excited to be back! I just spoke with recent UF grad Sara Chapman and she will be helping me out with the team. Sara is a great player and will be a HUGE asset to the girls especially since she just finished playing for UF in December. Practices will be Monday, Wed, and Thursday from 6-730.

If you guys have any questions please feel free to call me. 407-579-5446.

It might be a good idea one of these practice days once all the girls are back from high school to have a little talk before or after practice with all the parents so:

One, we (Sara and I) can meet all of you

Two, find out if any of the players are interested playing in college; if they are we need to start calling coaches NOW

Three, anything else I left out :)

Oh... One more thing, sike two more things... Thank you parents who emailed me letting me know your daughters were not going to be at practice. TWO, please have your girls bring a ball to practice.

ODP try-outs (for those interested) February 25-26, March 3-4, March 10-11, March 17-18 (17 and 18 are one day trials): you can only go to one of these tryouts
