Dear Pastor Joe, thank you so much for all the hard work that you and your staff put into this year's VBS. My children had a blast and most importantly learned more about God. It is so refreshing to see so many dedicated people serving God and their community. Thanks again and you can count on me to help out at next year's VBS. A FREE VBS!
Prayer, fundraising and generous givers.
My heart's desire has always been to offer VBS FREE of charge to the kids of our community. By the grace of God we have been able to do that for the past 7 years! Much prayer goes into VBS prior and during the plannig and setup. Thank God for the people who have always responded to the heart and passion of VBS by giving generously of their time, talents and treasures.
Fundraising is also a big help. We do luncheons, sell bottled water and "empanadas" (beef patties) which are a favorite!

Decorations
STAGE: Used red gossamer from Shindigz.com and clear Christmas lights. Put yellow christmas lights around the projector screen.
WHEEL: I used spray adhesive on the four wheel posters and glued them unto two (4 x 8) pieces of insulation board (Tuff-R) purchased at the Home Depot. Then I trimmed the wheel using a box cutter. Wood was glued to the back to make the wheel sturdier and provide a way to drill a hole to mount unto the base with screw and nut. It spins!
STAGE WALLS: We purchased black and blue vinyl from Shindigz.com. Used a 25ft ladder to staple the plastic to the walls from the top only. We purchased the large stars from the same company, the smaller stars and the fringe door curtains from Orientaltrading.com
OTHER SITES: I purchased Studio backdrops from Orientaltrading.com. Plastic table coverings from dollar stores have so many uses besides "table coverings!" Plus, many site volunteers take it upon themselves to purchase decorations that will enhance their sites. That helps a lot!
FOOD: Is usually donated by the congregation. Dinner for the workers is usually supplied by come of the workers themselves or by those who cannot be at VBS but want to contribute somehow. This year one of our Crew guides, who works for McDonalds, brought Whoppers and Quarter pounders for everyone! I'm loving it!
Continuing the excitement of Studio Go! all the SG contestants and every child roaming the streets on October 31st will be invited to come and join us for a Studio Go! Game Show Backstage Bash. Games, Prizes, the Gospel Message and of course CANDY!!!!
