Quarter Scale Avalon House
House Front
This is a quarter scale house I did from a kit by Debbie Young. I added gable brackets and rafter ends to the basic kit. I also changed some of the colors.

The left side shows a table by Sidney Anguist. The caladium was made by me in a class at Guild School. I made the flowers and did the arrangement in a pot that I made in a class with Jon Almeda at Guild School. I made the window treatment from silk fabric.

Arak-Saruk Rug
This rug was designed by Bobbie Schoonmaker. I stitched it on 40 count silk gauze with silk floss. I changed the colors from the original design to go with my sofa. The rug measures 4.25x 5.75.

The Tile floor
This floor was made from a piece of mat board. I used a grey color and sponge painted it with green and cream. Then I put several coats of poly on it. Then I cut it into 1" squares, and glued it down in the pattern. Another coat of poly, then grouted with a mixture of grey acrylic paint and lightweight spackle. Then some more coats of poly. A lot of work, but definitely a great result.
