Team Cameroon - teamcameroon
Welcome to the Team Cameroon Photo Share Website. Team Cameroon is a group of Linfield-Good Samaritan nursing students who traveled to Cameroon, Africa in January 2009 for health promotion efforts. Team Cameroon in partnership with Women, Health, and Environment (WEH), performed hundreds of health assessments and basic medical care to various villages in Littoral Province. In addition, the team raised thousands of dollars to provide hundreds of mosquito nets as a part of malaria prevention efforts. The Team Cameroon Photo Share Website allows members to share pictures from our trip and allows us to continue to share our stories with our visitors. Please feel free to download, order and share prints through this site.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us in our efforts. We would not have been able to do all we did without your gracious support.
WEH CRISIS!!!!! UPDATED INFORMATION!!!
The Cameroonian government put WEH in charge of overseeing hundreds of orphans in over the last few years. Just last month the funding they have been receiving from the Global Fund has been eliminated. This means the funding food, tuition and supplies of hundreds of students is gone. Team Cameroon is starting an adopt an orphan campaign in order to keep an orphans in school. The cost is only $15 a year to sponsor a grade school child! $30 to include tuition, uniforms and school supplies. High school and vocational students are $120 per year. All donations are tax deductible through Friends of WEH and 100% of the proceeds will go to the sponsored child. For more information about sponsoring a child, donation or for more information, contact Rosa Luy at email@example.com.
