Adam, Mike, Deon, Logan, Jalen and David joined forces with Team Cress members Eric McClellan, Jake Kocher and Billy Sherakas to participate in Phoenix Elite 8 Tournament...
In the fourth and final game of the tournament the team was firing on all cylinders in a dominating performance against the Arizona Magic Seniors Team, winning 89 - 65. We had five players score in double figures with Eric leading the way again with 21 pts and 7 rebs. Logan poured in 20 pts, Jake had 16 pts, 4 asts and 4 stls, Adam 14 pts, 5 rebs, and Deon contributed 11 pts and 5 asts, along with 3 stls.

In the 3rd Game against Las Vegas Dogcatchers the team showed no signes of tired legs and won handily 77 - 57. We finished with five players in double figures in an all around team effort, with Jake leading the scoring with 14 pts. Adam finished with 13 pts, Deon with 12 pts, Billy with 11 pts and Eric with 10 pts. It was a fun game to end a long day of playing, and we are now positioned to close out the tournament with a final game on Sunday at 11:30am PST.

2nd Game against Arizona Magic Pump n Run ended in tough Over Time loss 73 - 78. Team had 10 pt lead with about 4 min to go, but could not close out the Pump n Run squad, ending regulation tied at 71 - 71. Eric tied the game on a high flying dunk driving hard to the rim, and completed the "and 1" after being fouled. Check out the Video Link Below...We only managed 2 pts in the 2 min OT period. Billy led our scorers with 20 pts, including 7 of 8 FTs and also had 9 rebs. Eric scored 15 pts and Adam contributed 11 pts all in the 1st half on 4 of 4 shooting, including 3 of 3 from behind the arc.

First game of the day was a Win 61 - 55 against JW All Stars Elite. We controlled the game from start to finish, but never really put them away until the end. Eric led scoring with 19 pts, including 9 of 11 FTs, Deon scored 12 pts and Jalen led rebounding with 7. Billy contributed 11 pts and 4 rebs, bringing great hustle throughout the game.

Finished Great American Shootout Tournament 1W - 3L in Dallas
Finished the tournament against Triumph Select with a hard fought loss 69 - 73. Had some tough calls throughout the entire game that could and should have gone our way, but not to be on this day. Had our chances and everyone contributed in the game. Deon led all scorers with 23 pts, Adam finished with 12 pts and Jalen added 11 pts to round out the double fugures in scoring. Dylan and Josiah scored 6 pts each, and Dylan led rebounding with 7 boards.
The 3rd game of the tournament matched us against the Top Acheivers Pistons and we came away with a close 1 pt win, 68 - 67. Jalen led scoring with 15 pts on 9 of 11 FT's and Adam scored 12 pts going 2 of 3 from both inside and outside the arc. Deon also finished in double figures with 10 pts. Josiah and Logan scored 7 pts each and Reinier led rebounding with 7 boards.
The 2nd game on Saturday was worth admission as played a very tough Urban DFW Elite team and lost in Overtime 66 - 69. Dylan led the team in scoring and rebounding with 19 pts and 9 boards on 6 of 8 2's, 1 of 1 3's, and 4 of 5 FT's. He also finished with 3 AST and 2 Stls for a great complete game. Deon finished with 9 pts and Royce scored 7pts and pulled down 7 rebounds.
We played the Deron Williams Elite team the 1st game of the day and could not overcome a slow start and lost 55 - 61. Deon led our scoring with 18 pts and also had 5 Ast and 2 Stls. Josiah, Logan and Jalen contributed 7 pts each.

Ended the Pearland Classic with 2W - 2L Record!
Finished the tournament 2 and 2 with a very tough 3 Game stretch on Saturday against some very good competition. Started the day with a difficult 2 pt loss to the Franchize All Stars 70 - 68, playing against highly rated DeAngelo Harrison of Ft. Bend. Deon led our team in scoring with 20 pts and Jalen added 13 pts in what was a close game throughout. Jalen had an opportunity to tie the game on a last second layup on a quick drive to the basket, but the ball bounced off the rim sealing the victory for the Franchize All Stars.
The 2nd Game against MBA Hoops Elite saw us get off to a very slow start giving up 15 pts before we scored our first. The team settled in and fought hard to get back in the game with great pressure and good defense, finishing with a win 62 - 61. MBA was very long and very big and featured another top national talent in LaQuinton Ross. Deon led scorers with 13 and Josiah added 12, with David scorering double figures with 10 pts and also had 9 rebs. Josiah closed out the victory with a clutch FT at the end.
The 3rd Game against Houston Lynx Blue was a loss 67 - 61, in what coul dhave easily been a victory if we could have made a few shots from behind the arc. The team seemed to have lost its legs playing in their third tough game of the day and finished only 2 of 27 from behind the 3 pt line. Deon led all scoring with 21 pts, and Josiah and Logan added 9 pts each. Adam led rebounding with 6 boards.

Pearland Texas Classic Tournament - 1st Game Win 75 - 70!
Started off the Pearland Texas Classic with a Win over the Houston Hurricanes 75 -70. Adam led the team in scoring with 16 pts on 4 of 5 3's. He also had 4 rebs. Jalen had 13 pts and led the team in rebounding with 9 boards, and a game high 5 blocks! Logan also finished in double figures with 10 pts on 4 of 4 2's.
The team plays again on Saturday at 3:30pm against the Franchize All Stars...Cheer us on to victory from where ever you are!

Finished Full Court Press Tournament 2 W - 2 L...
Lost to San Diego GamePoint 65 - 64..The game was fairly close throughout as the teams were evenly matched. We seemed to get no bounces go our way in the 1st half on the boards, but stil managed to take a 32 - 27 lead at halftime. Both teams played hard but we were forced into turnovers everytime we tried to pull away. We had a chance to win at the end with the ball with 9.2 seconds to go, but Deon did not get a foul called on his drive to the basket, and instead a held ball was called after a scramble. We had only 0.1 seconds to get a shot on an inbounds (don't think this is technically possible), but Logan's alleyhoop tip went in and out at the buzzer! Deon led the scoring with 14pts followed by Josiah with 10pts. Reinier led the team with 7 rebounds, and Adam finished with 5 rebounds.
Adam had a big steal and assist to Jalen to tie the game late, and Mike hit 2 big FT's late to tie it again after GamePoint came down and scored.
Rebounding ultimately was the difference in the game.

Saturday Pool Play - 1 Win - 1 Loss - Finished 2nd Place in Pool at 2W - 1L!
Third Game vs. Arizona Warriors - We Were Outscored 98 - 80
This was not a good match up size wise for us as the Warriors were very long and many of their bigs could also make the outside shot. They played a great game in all areas and seemed to just make every shot. We were led again by Deon with 20pts, 4 rebs and 4 steals (7 of 8 2s), and Jalen who played a strong game with 15pts, 4 rebs and 3 steals (7 of 8 FTs). Logan played with great intensity around the rim throwing down two rim rattling dunks during the game!
Second Game vs. Branch Prep West - We Win 67 - 56
We controlled the game from start to finish with our guards dictating the tempo. Deon Mitchel led scoring with 19 pts on 6 of 7 2's, and Josiah poured in 16 pts on 4 of 4 3's. Logan also finished in double digits with 10 pts.

Started Off Easter Classic with a Hard Fought Victory 70 - 69!
The team was able to win a battle against Organized Chaos 17 to start of the Easter Classic in Las Vegas on Friday night by a score of 70 - 69. 2011 G Deon Mitchell - Pflugerville sealed the win at the free throw line after being fouled with 1.1 seconds on the clock and the game tied!
Deon led the team in scoring with 17pts, and had lots of help with strong performances by 2011 W Jalen Washington - Pflugerville Hendrickson - 14pts, 8 rebs, 2011 W Logan Webb - Georgetown - 12 pts, and 2011 G Josiah Monroe - Bastrop - 12pts.

Heading Off to Las Vegas for the Fullcourt Press Easter Classic
After opening the season with a Tournament Championship in the Texas Super Showcase the team is traveling to Las Vegas this weekend for the 2010 Fullcourt Press Easter Classic. The tournament will begin for us on Friday at 6:30pm local time against Oraganized Chaos 17.
