For students applying for any academic term (Academic Year, Fall, Spring or Summer) please find the eligibility requirements below:
* Enrolled as an undergraduate student at a two or four-year U.S. Institution
* United States citizen
* Receiving a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application or during the term of study abroad
* Participating in a study abroad program that is no less than 4 weeks (28 days) in one country and no more than an academic year
* Receiving academic credit
* Study in any country not currently under a U.S. State Department Travel Warning or Cuba
TIPS: Start the application process now. You will be required to write 2 essays. You need signatures from your academic and financial advisor.

-------------------------------------------------------------The Honors College and the Office of the Associate VP for Research are pleased to announce the 2012-2013 campus-wide undergraduate research program at Texas State University.
This initiative, known as the Student Undergraduate Research Fund (SURF), awards research funding to any enrolled undergraduate based on competitive applications. Students may apply online for funding up to $1,000. The application deadline is October 23, 2012 for awards during the 2012-2013 fiscal year (ending August 31, 2013).
This program is supported by contributions from private donors, foundations, and colleges within the university.
The online application process is described at http://www.txstate.edu/undergraduateresearch/. A workshop for potential applicants will be held on September 21, 2:00-4:00 p.m.
