Texas State to Ethiopia - Program Participation

GRADES

DRUG/ALCOHOL USE AND ABUSE

Do not treat the flight over as an opportunity to stay up all night drinking. If you arrive in Addis Ababa unfit to travel, you will be put on the first plane back to the US and your study abroad experience will be over before it has started.

The legal drinking age in Ethiopia is 18.

It is important, for your safety and others, that you not abuse alcohol or drugs while in the program.

If you choose to drink, please do so responsibly.

If your abuse of alcohol disrupts a class activity or endangers you or a member of the group you will face immediate dismissal from the program.

If you engage in illegal drug use, you will face immediate dismissal from the program.

If you are arrested and jailed the director will call the person of record on your contact list but will take no other action.
