Welcome to the Journey

Welcome to the Texxi Marketing "PhotoJourney".

This is a log of the various different things we tried while trying to market Texxi "Evening Economy" mode in Liverpool, England.

Of course, Texxi comes in far more modes than just getting people home from nightclubs, but since this was what we started with, the marketing had to appeal to that demographic segment.

It is now 6 years since we began this quest and we have certainly learned an enormous amount about marketing, designers, photographers and photoshoots, models, rights-management, retail banks, entrepreneurship, transport economics, genetic algorithms, the transport sector in general and taxi firms in particular.

I hope you enjoy seeing some of the "behind the scenes" shots. It certainly has been a journey for us and no doubt will continue to be.

Eric explains what Texxi is at a "Dragon's Den"
In October - November 2005, I took part in a "Dragon's Den" style pitch for Texxi at the ICDC unit of Liverpool John Moore's University.

Here I explained the basics of what Texxi is all about ( in reality there's many other aspects to Texxi, as well as cab sharing, that werent talked about here due to time constraints).
I'm posting this now as we have the Isle Of Wight Texxi rollout on 19th July ,all being well.

The Origins of Texxi - (1) - Brand Story

In 2003, I was given a series of interviews for an interview at a Hedge Fund called Xaraf LLC in Greenwich, Connecticut.

This hedge fund specialised in finding trading opportunities based on the mispricings between debt and equity in the same company, using credit default swaps as one of the main tools.

There is a relationship between the price of debt of a company and the price of credit. If these two are way out of line, there is an arbitrage trading opportunity.
