Friday night: My first girls night out! Liz, Sarah, Jess, Rebekah and I got all pretty and went out for yummy diner food! The highlight of the evening being Sarah's waffle sundae. YUMM! Meanwhile Joe and Patrick watched the kids back at our place and watched 300.....

Saturday:  Breakfast at Panera... Champagne.... Donald and Julia arrived for the week from FL... Went to the park while Joe brewed a batch of strawberry vanilla beer (can't wait to taste it, it smells AMAZING!) Then we made dinner and the Holida's headed home.....

Sunday: Rain... yuck! Judah and I slept in and chilled a while then went into the city to meet up with everyone in Grand Central Station.... had an olive oil/ truffle oil/ balsalmic vinagar tasting and then jurneyed to Brooklyn to have a brew at Barcade www.barcadebrooklyn.com... SO FUN!!
Then early dinner at Kelloggs Diner...

Monday: work, clean, laundry, nap... found out that mom broke her foot and dad broke his hand-- in two unrelated accedants within an hour of each other... cooked dinner for the gang.... watched Yes Man- Great!

Tuesday:Ugh more rain.. Woke early and enjoyed breakfast at a diner... (see a trend?) Judah learned to do Patty Cake on his own and the two of us watched family videos from Chrsitmas... I was astonished at how much he has changed! Then we took a nap and headed out to meet up with moms and babies-- again at a diner! Had almost 4 houres of delished mommy talk and then made dinner (this time super healthy mostly raw veggie)...Rebekah came by to meet the cats and check out the apartment as she is house sitting for us.....Joe and i caught up on Lost and the Office and dreamed a little about the years ahead..... sweet sleep...

Today: Joe got up with Judah and i got an extra hour of sleep!!... Photo blogging- shouldn't be but am! ...cleaning... moving food from fridge to freez... laundry..packing for FL.. then YANKEES GAME TONIGHT!!

Tomorrow: Madly packing and prepping for FL.... hopefully early bedtime....

Friday: We fly out at 7 am to see our family!!! CAN"T WAIT!

I need to head to bed, quickly!

The last few days have been pretty exciting around here... A wonderful weekend full of sunshine and flowers-- and Judah's first popsicle! Yes i know there are a ridiculous number of photos of that event- but i just could not delete any of them, each one capturing the joy of his new yummy discovery!
He has also gone from banana to avocado and seems thrilled at the switch. I wish i had captured his banana face, it was hilarious!
But the biggest news of all is that Judah slept in his own room last night! YAY!!  Our bedroom is now a lovely baby free zone, complete with the gorgeous orchid that Carolann is lending me! I am in love with orchids now.... you only water them every 2 weeks! who knew? :)

anyhow i am worn out, it has been a long day of setting up Judah's new bedroom and reclaiming mine. Oh and a little girl time thrown in too!

Again I'm faced with 20 min to do anything with.... probably the last of the day.
I just finished reading a few pages of So You Don't Want to Go To Church Anymore by, Wayne Jacobeson as I nursed Judah. (Great book!)
In it he was describing this Body Life we are to be living as family in Christ....whew it was exhilarating! :) As I read tears filled my eyes as I was just overwhelmed by God's Goodness and Faithfulness and i just wanted to take a moment and share this wonderful life with the world!!

My life is full of exciting miracles moment by moment-- everything pointing to Father and His love for me. As Judah fell asleep at my breast just now, and i slowly started to move to get up he reached out for me and pulled me close for another soothing drink, my heart burst out of my chest with love for this child! I was captivated by the picture of trust and loving relationship. Are we not our Daddy's children? Do we not grow and thrive from the milk of his living presence in and with us? I love that Judah does not have to become desperate and fearful for his next meal, he just knows he will receive it.... more than enough.... and when he just turns his face in his sleep that i will be there. and in response to that- as a parent, it is my JOY to provide that presence my heart aching with love. Yes in my humanity and imperfect love it can be draining, or frustrating, sometimes tedious. But when i just stop. Open my heart and listen,,,, and allow the Perfect Love of my Father invade my heart the JOY rushes and overflows everything else. And everything around me cries out what a wonderful Life this is! What boundless Joy it gives Father when i just turn my face toward him for even the slightest moment.

Judah just went down for his morning nap, and i a debating whether to eat breakfast, blog, spend a few moments with my Dad in the Word, or take a nap myself. I i am going to try to do a little of everything.... oh i think i should shower too...

Funny thing about showers, I don't seem to get as many as i used to these days and my hair always looks greasy... Gold Bond powder does the trick for the first day but after day 2 1/2 i just can fake it anymore. lol i know how disgusting that is... but blogs are all about being real right?

Anyhow I hope you enjoy the new photos!

As I sit here pondering what to say in this first blog post, my mind keeps wondering to the little boy asleep in next room then to the kitchen where a sink of dishes and dinner waits for me... and then back here to the sound of the rain and worship music as it floats and blends with my clicking keyboard. I can't help but smile at this wonderful moment! It may be only 5 minutes before i need to jump to the next thing but right now--- its just me--- shhhhhhh ahhhhhh mmmmmm relaxing.
Judah cut his first tooth on Easter and the second came in yesterday (both bottom front). So you may be able to imagine the volume level in our home this week has not been at all dictated by the adults! (then again when is it ever?)

But spring has sprung and it is WONDERFUL!  Cherry blossoms hang heavy in Central Park and along the streets people are smiling and looking up from the pavement. Joe and I love it! Yesterday Joe took Judah on a little mini hike in the Park and Judah just wanted to eat all the flowers and trees--- and probably the squirls too if he could have gotten hold! Judah is loving the outside world, thrilled to just be out of the house.

well my five minutes has turned to fifteen- and dinner need cookin'!

So this is it! A new beginning-- just another glorious day!
