Family Pictures

For Christmas Andy surprised me and set up our family to take professional pictures! I think it was the best gift he has ever given me! This is the first time we have gotten this done. Craig Demartino was the talented photographer. He works at Andy's work and I was beyond thrilled with what he captured! I barely can get one photo a year with all four of us smiling! Thank you Craig for all your hard work!

Osborn Farm Market Days!

We had a great time visiting Osborn Farm in Loveland, Colorado. It was so amazing to visit a real farm to kick off the fall season!

Some highlights:
1. Riding the hayride pulled by a real John Deer tractor.
2. Watching Andy's face when he thought Landon was going to fall off the hayride.
3. I let the boys pick out any pumpkin and they both choose a small cute one for there rooms.
4. Boys getting there faced painted: Carter choose a shark and Landon choose a crocodile.
5. Enjoying the warm 87 degree weather..Andy was hoping for snow but I won on this day!
6. I purchase a great chicken wire basket for my living room from my friend Michelle's booth.
7. Feeling such a peace of living in Colorado and enjoying great family time!

Buss Family visit!

We feel so blessed to have the Buss Family fly out here from California to visit us and see beautiful Colorado! I'm so thankful for our friendship and the time this week that we got to spend together!

Highlights:
1. Carter had his first sleep over with Luke. Luke slept on the blow up mattress is Carter's room and they were so cute!
2. Spending the day at Boulder. Hiking along the river, playing at Eden Par, shopping on Pearl Street and eating at the Cheesecake Factory.
3. Spending the day at The Denver Zoo and watching all four kids get so excited over seeing all the animals!
4. Playing soccer in the backyard! Luke starts soccer this weekend and we all practice our skills. Eric got Carter so excited to be goalie and Luke shot at Carter. Landon, Eric and Andy threw the football around. I took pictures and took a few shots. Kerry and Loralie were the cheerleaders.
5. Going out to The Chocolate Cafe with Eric and Kerry in Old Town Fort Collins.
6. Date night at Bessetti's Italian Restaurant with Kerry and Eric!
7. Eating ice cream every day sometimes twice in one day! Kerry shares the same passion for ice cream as I do.
8. Watching Mad Mad every night.
9. Hearing about Eric fly fishing stories. He seriously is like a pro fly fisher and hearing Andy talk about his first fly fishing experience with Eric. Eric was a patient coach and Andy had a blast.

Landon's 3rd Birthday Party! Go Broncos!

Landon has been asking for a Bronco's Birthday Party for about 7 months now! He loves football and was so excited to support the Bronco's.

Landon's favorite parts of the party:
1. Having Grandma and Papa in town for his party.
2. Putting on football tattoo's.
3. Running to grab presents out of his guests hands and then opening them at the end.
4. Wearing his football arm warmer on his wrist. He likes to pretend it is a spy gun.
5. Having all his friends and family there!

Landon's Least favorite part of his party:
1. Playing the two games I had planned for the party.
2. Crying when we all sang Happy Birthday to him! (He did not like the attention)
3. Started crying when we started to throw 200 water balloons at the park! We saved him his own bag...he got a little overwhelmed!

Well over all I know he loved it because he hasn't stopped talking about his party all weekend! He is our little boy who knows we all love him so much! Happy Birthday Landon!

Downtown Fort Collins with the Smart's!

Smart's came to Fort Collins!

Becky, Matt and Kylie just spent the weekend with us here in Fort Collins. We had a fun filled weekend reminiscing of of our old college days in SLO!

Highlights:
1. Carter and Kylie riding in the burley to the BMX park. Watching Carter Matt and Andy complete the BMX track!
2. Soaking up the sun and shopping in Old Town.
3. Running along the Poudre river with Becky:)..even passed cows like the old days in Poly Canyon.
4. Getting massages on Mother's Day!
5. Swimming at the pool in the 85 degree weather! Kylie had the cutest O'Neill swim suit!
6. Date night in Old Town at Bessetti's then some ice cream!
7. Watching my boys play with Kylie and Landon even called her his sister! So adorable!

Rollin in the 30's with a bang!

A weekend away from my wonderful husband to California! It was an amazing weekend that I will never forget! I felt truely loved, honored and blessed to be celebrating my 30th Birthday with my family and friends!
Friday: Lunch with Kerry at CPK and shopping at Irvine Spectrum. I received a call from Alison to get Grant out of day care for a ear infection! Grant loved shopping with Kerry and I.
Friday night: Dinner at Mastro's Newport Beach with my Dad, step Mom Lorraine, Brother, Lindsay (Brother's girlfriend), Jamie and Tim (step-sister and her husband) Justin (step- brother)
Saturday: Lunch on San Clemente Pier with my Mom, Randy, Alison and Baby Grant
Saturday night: Dinner at Javier's Crystal Cove Newport Beach with girl friends then off to Laguna beach for Pizookies..yummy!
Sunday: Nordstroms rack, South Coast Plaza, Nordstroms cafe, Irvine Speactrum, paint my nails and fly home...get home at 11:57 p.m. soo tired but worth it:)

What we did the 12 days in CA no order!

12 days in California for spring break! It was so much to watch baby Grant for 8 of those days! We soaked up every minute in the sun!
accomplished:
1.Laguna beach day with Papa and Grandma
2. Irvine Park with girlfriends
3. San Clemente at Nicole's house for two days!
4. Mission Viejo mall- it was raining and the boys need to get out!
5. Irvine Spectrum 3 times. The boys loved the carousel, train and big ferris wheel. It was great to see Auntie Joyce, Heather and my mom and step dad! We also spent a day there with Grammie and Aunt Steph!
6. Wahoo's with Uncle Matt, Step and Grammie
7. Fashion Island by myself with 3 kids. Carter even touched a few koi  fish!
8. Swimming up to two times a day!
9. Great time playing with Uncle Brian and his wonderful girlfriend Lindsay!
10. Mariners church two Saturdays in a row!
11. Golden Spoon and Partyopolis-quality time with my dear friend Kerry!

Santa was here!

This Christmas morning was one of the best so far for the Brazelton's family for many reasons! It was so exciting to see both boys filled with joy, wonder and happiness. It was the first year Landon really understood that Santa came to our house and of course we were celebrating Jesus' Birthday! Even though family was missed so much it was fun to start our new family traditions here in Colorado!

Maui Highlights!

1. Above Carter learning how to swim and scuba dive! Well..he can swim but doesn't know how to come up from air in the middle so he swims to the edge!
2. Visiting Katie and having the kids spend sooo much time with her
3. Attending a Hawaiian church service
4. Eating out from Mahi Mahi, Ono Ono, crab legs to cheeseburgers in Paradise!
5. Snorkeling in a bay....Carter even snorkeled for a little bit
6. Soft sand between the toes
7. Warm ocean weather
8. Enjoying the kids with no agenda
9. Quite times with Andy while the kids napped (Katie watched the kids every day during nap time)

70.3 Ironman Oceanside

SO HAPPY!

Well...in this picture I'm laughing because I was thinking how crazy I was to do that race! After 7 months of training and dedication I finished the race the very best I could. The swim took me 40 minutes..with leaky goggles and swallowing a gallon of salt water I made it out strong. Then came the 56 mile bike ride. I will have to say this was the most beautiful ride I have ever been on. I took in the moments of the beautiful California Coast but after 3 hours and 40 minutes I wanted off that bike. The last 9 miles I was praying to be back in the harbor and to see my cheering family and friends smiles! Then came the run...well I was on pace 8:45 per mile until mile 8 and I hit a wall. I just enjoyed the last 5 miles trying to convince my legs to move and soak up the 80 degree sunshine while the waves crashed on shore. I made it to finish and I wanted to cry to see my amazing friends and family there supporting me the whole time! I'm so thankful for you guys- Omel's, Almer's, Dad, Brysters and Lindsay, Lurker's, Smart's, and the Crouch Family...you all helped me so much! I can't thank you enough! Final time 6 hours 39 minutes! Thank you Jesus!

Monster Truck Show!

Big Foot

Uncle Alex was in town and Carter wanted to do something fun with one of his favorite Uncle. Andy, Alex and Carter headed off to the Monster truck show at the Budweiser Event center. Carter was in heaven and Andy and Alex enjoyed watching Carter stare in awe! Overall, it was a great night filled with smiles, cotton candy and Diet Pepsi:)

Winter Park Skiing

 All week Carter was asking us that he wanted to ski and snowboard. I was very skeptical but he was persistent. So we decided to give it a try. We rented the equipment and thought we can teach him and see how he does. Well all I can say is he got Andy genes...he was amazing! Andy was a great teacher and Carter shocked us both. He loved riding the magic carpet lift and skiing with the other 4 year old's. By the end he wanted to go in the real lift..so next year we will be ready to buy 3 lift tickets! I was so proud of him:) Thank you Katie for your cheering on the side lines and allowing us this opportunity to teach Carter how to ski! Grammie you rock!

Carter waited patiently in line for 20 minutes until it was his turn to see Santa Claus. He was so excited that I could remember that moment forever! He jumped on his lap and asked for a Superman guy! Then gave Santa Claus a huge hug! Landon was a little hesitant until Santa gave him a candy cane and then after 2 minutes he wanted mommy. But we did get a cute picture that I wanted to share with you all! Merry Christmas!

Trick or Treating in our neighborhood is amazing! Above is just two houses that went all out for Halloween. I'm inspired to step it up next year! There was also two houses with smoke machines:) So fun! Carter had a blast and he was so brave! We had a great night with all our friends! Until next year.....:)

On Thomas!

A Day out with Thomas

On Saturday we went to Golden,CO about an hour from our house to the Colorado Train Museum to spend a day out with Thomas! Carter was in heaven and was a little over whelmed when we first got there. He got to wave to Sir Tomphan Hat because the line was like 30 minutes long, got Thomas tattoo's, played with the trains, and rode Thomas...which was 3 loops around the train museum. Andy and I thought we would actually go some where but Carter just loved it and told us we were going to the Island of Sodor. Wow...it is amazing to see your little ones get so excited! Take a look at the pictures to the left:)

Preschool.....Watch out here comes Carter

Preschool here comes Carter!

Yesterday Carter had his first day of Preschool. He ran right in...said hi to his teachers and hung up his Cars backpack...even forgot to give us a kiss good bye:) 

Some great things he said:

In the morning he said, "Mom, I'm really excited for school"

When I picked him up, "Mom, preschool is 3 hours long, I painted, I played duck duck at the gym park and I cried a little bit" Why did you cry Carter? " I wanted my apple juice"

Well..he got apple juice when I picked him up and he went down for a record early nap at 12:30....He has school tomorrow hopefully it will go as good as it did on Tuesday along with some apple juice!

Boulder Creek

It was a hot day in Fort Collins so my mom and I headed off to Boulder for the day. We had an amazing day eating a picnic lunch down by Boulder Creek. We then all cooled off in the creek which was so refreshing. Carter loved throwing rocks down the creek and watching in inner tubers go by. We ended the afternoon with some frozen yogurt downtown. Can the day be any better? I don't think so....God's beautiful creation and yummy yogurt=perfection:)

Dana Point Bike Ride

My trip all summed up!

My 10 day's in Cali...(wow I guess I can call it Cali since I'm a tourist now) consisted of going to Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, San Clemente Beach, and lastly Dana Point Beach..I guess I miss the beach. We also had an amazing time at Sea World! Carter even asked to sit in the splash zone during the dolphin show and we got drenched which was nice in the 87 degree weather. Grandma, Papa and Landon sat much higher in the stands to stay dry! It was so fun see all my CA friends at the RSM Beach club and Baja Fresh fountain. At one moment it felt like I never left even though we have been gone for 8 months now! I miss my family already and but excited beacuse my mom, step dad and brother come in town on Tuesday! Alison ans Alex thank you so much for letting us take over your house for 10 days! The Ali and Alex hotel was so much fun! I'm ready to go swimming in the pool and spa tonight! But I can truely say I'm glad to be back home in Fort Collins, CO. Loving that CO is finally feeling like home to me!

Birthday Party!

We had an amazing day yesterday for Carter's 3rd Birthday! We rented the City Park Train with his friends and then swam at the City Park Pool! Carter was in heaven and he never got off the train for a straight hour! Thank you all for helping us celebrate our wonderful son Carter!

 Carter is 3 now..... I'm so happy and a little sad! Happy because it is amazing to see him grow up to an independent, outgoing and friendly toddler who wants to play with anyone...sad because he is not my little baby anymore even though he weights 24 lbs and so easy to pick up!

Today he was so excited for his cake and his train party next weekend. He has brought us so much joy and thank God all the time for how wonderful he is!

I had to share...so today I hear Landon laughing in the playroom so I walk over and see why he is so happy! What...to my surprise he pulled himself up on the train table and was playing! Thankfully Carter was asleep or he would be so mad that Landon destroyed his track! Go Landon....we are so proud of you!

This morning I realized I have tons of pictures of the boys individually but very few together. They were wearing cute outfits so I tried my best to get one good shot of them together and it was impossible! They were being so silly, laughing and smiling at different times! YOUR THE ONE I WANT

Alison and I had the chance to see GREASE on Broadway for the second time this past weekend. The traveling cast visited Orange County Preforming Arts Center! Once again, Alison and I had an amazing time...yes I know we are a little obsessed. One great thing is Taylor Hicks played Dream Angel and he did an amazing job. At the end of the show he came out again and sang a new single from his new CD. He actually sounded amazing! We then had a chance to watch him sign his CD"s...we never bought one so we just took a picture of him!

Easter Egg Hunt..Jesus Has Risen!

Happy Easter to everyone! This Easter Carter participated in an Egg Hunt in Library Park, Fort Collins. All the eggs were gone in less than 30 seconds. Carter got one himself and I grab a few for him. The other 2 year old's in the egg hunt were super competitive maybe Carter did not inherit that gene from Andy or I. The minute the egg hunt started Carter just froze... but he was so cute! Afterward, we enjoyed walking around downtown and eating yummy sandwiches at a great restaurant then off to Church. On Easter day we had our friends over with their 4 kids and enjoyed a yummy dinner. The egg hunt in the house was a blast!

Play House Disney Live Show

Last night we went to the Play House Disney Live Show at the Budweiser Center (Like Arrowhead Pond) and the show was amazing! You may ask why was the show so great? This is WHY:

1. Andy was more excited for the show than Carter was.
2. We sat 9 rows center stage.
3. Handy Manny was hot..j/k!
4. Carter ran to the front of the stage and danced..it was so cute:)
5. The $10 cotton candy was yummy!
6. Landon slept through almost the whole show.
7. It was a fun family night...I love seeing Carter so excited!

Things I like and dislike about Fort Collins, CO

Likes:

1. It is sunny here almost every day:) Besides a few snow storms...but it really is sunny here a lot which makes me very happy:)
2. It is very quite here...the number one sound you hear here is geese flying in the sky.
3.  I love Miramont Gym....it is like a my own Burke Williams every day and the child care there is unbelievable. I started going to spin class, swimming laps in the indoor pool, yoga classes to relaxing from the mist room to the sauna and ending it with the spa.
4. I love the 45 min drive to Boulder. Boulder is an amazing small town with fun shops to yummy food: BJ's Pizza, CPK and Cheesecake Factory


Dislikes:

1. My car gets so dirty here with the snow and sludge. F.Y.I- don't buy a white car if you live in Fort Collins, CO
2. There is no frozen yogurt places.....Golden Spoon I miss you and will see you in a few weeks!
3. It is hard to bundled yourself up and then the kids.....so exhausting:)
4. I'm to far away from my family.....and of course friends....Frontier Airline is loving me right now!

New Videos

Andy got me a flip camera for Christmas and I love it! I added two videos to the blog so far...I only have had the camera for two days now so get ready to video blasted:) We are officially moving in our house this weekend. I will upload a video of the new house soon. I hope you all are having a wonderful week! I'm coming back to the OC the last week if February..yeah..miss you all.

We got our keys..we Closed!

 Last night...we closed on our new house! It was such a blessing and we are so happy to get settled into our new home. I'm still in a little shock as I write this but since we have the keys all I want to do is jump up and down! Thank you JESUS...just in time before our loan expires today! Some Highlights:

1. Watching Carter's face Christmas morning...Who came last night Carter?...."Anta Claus!"
2. Watching Carter sprinkle reindeer food on the porch for Santa's Reindeer (Christmas Eve)
3. Enjoying Landon's First Christmas...he loved sitting on daddy's lap and watching his brother
4. Caught Landon's first real smile on camera
5. Confirming the fact that my husband can't put anything together...after 30 minutes of trying to put Carter's Thomas the train ramp together I took over and completed the project in 15 minutes!
6. The 42 degree/sunny weather! Thank you Jesus!
7. Hanging out and eating Kami's yummy food with the wonderful Gilmour Family....it made missing family not so bad:(
8. In the midst of moving three times the last three weeks I felt grateful for a nice condo to live in, my wonderful family, and a peace of knowing Jesus Christ
9. Oh yeah my FLIP camera that Andy got me:)...videos will be coming soon to the Blog once I get my camera from Amazon

What I have learned so far in CO!

 The Brazelton's are trying to get settled into life here in Fort Collins and I wanted to share a few things I have learned the past few weeks:

1. It is very cold here...the other day our car read -7....we were shocked it could go to negative. Everyone says it is the coldest winter they have ever remembered but I really don't believe them. I really just dream of 40 degree weather...wow what a funny wish.

2. Ok....people ice fish here. This weekend we drove by Lake Loveland and people were in the middle of the lake (crazy..all I was thinking is that is so scary standing on ice and thinking you might fall into ice water) They put up tents in the middle of the lake and sit around a fire ...on the lake. Then they tie bells at the end of there poles and when is rings they might have a fish:) I think I rather be inside sipping on hot coco. You never know next winter I might be ice fishing!

3. Carter loves making snowballs, throwing them at you and then eating them.

4. The Nearest Nordstroms is 40 minutes away. Tomorrow my only friend Mellisa and I are driving there and taking the kids to Pottery Barn Kids Story Time....then off to lunch at Nordstroms Cafe. Tomorrow will be an amazing day

5.  Elk are real.We saw Elk for the first time this weekend. We took a road trip 1 hour away to Estes Park. It is amazing national park and I can't wait to return in the summer!

6. My 1000 cell phone minutes are not enough here in Colorado. I upgraded to the the unlimited plan...so cool. So please feel free to call me any time:) Miss you all!

SOLD --176 Calle de Los Ninos

Thank you Jesus our house sold! We ended barely breaking even but we are just so happy it is sold and we are ready to start our new adventure in Colorado! God is so good..after falling out of escrow twice ..yes two separate times our relator ended up buying our house for a real estate investment property. With a 14 day escrow our lives have been pretty busy. Andy drives out on the 26th of November with the U-Haul and I fly out on the 28th with two boys and two dogs. Thank you all for all your prayer and support it this huge transition for us. I know God has amazing plans for us out in Colorado! We will miss you all so much that my heart breaks when I think of all the friends and family we are leaving here is California. 


Two offers...please pray!

Please pray for us! We have had two offers so far that are super low ball. This had been a really hard time for me. So many transitions all at once. In the midst of chaos.. I do have a praise. Andy and I went to Fort Collins last weekend and I fell in LOVE with it. Now...I'm still nervous about moving but I can really say I'm also super excited. Thank you JESUS!

Moving to Colorado!

 Yes....the rumors are true! The Brazelton's are moving to Fort Collin's Colorado! Even when I type this journal entry I'm still in shock! Andy received a promotion at Group Publishing ( The same company who own's Simply Youth Ministry) sooo the Brazel's are packing up and taking a Leap in Faith! Please pray for us: 1) Our house sells 2) A smooth moving transition 3) We find and get plugged in a church that we love 4) I get plugged into a moms group at a church 4) I meet friends.......:)

Trying to Relax by Walking

Well...since I have 3 weeks left to go running I'm trying to get a few miles in a day walking with my two boys. I love to work out! I know many people think I'm crazy. Before I had two boys working out for me was a great way to relax, clear my mind and spend time with God. Now, last week when I tried to take a nice peaceful stroll around the block there was not one moment of silence between the two boys. If Landon was not crying...Carter was whining about something.  I did find one thing that work last week. Landon fell asleep so I took Landon's pacifier and stuck it into Carter's mouth (Carter has never taken a pacifier ) and it actually worked for about 10 minutes! Thank you Jesus! I pray this weeks walks will be more successful than last weeks!

Now Mother of Two Boys

 I have to admit I'm a little scared for tomorrow...Tuesday September 2nd 2008.
Why? Because Andy is going back to work. Tomorrow will be my first official day alone with my strong willed, energetic, loving two year old son Carter and my 9 day eat/sleep/fuss/dirty diaper/adorable son Landon. Pray that I will survive the highs and lows of what tomorrow brings!
