Hello Hazel darling
It has been wonderful to look at all of your very first Chirstmas photos. You are really growing. I love the way you can sit up so well. It is less than 6 months until I get to see you and cuddle you!! When I see all of your friends and relatives getting to hold you and talk to you, it makes me jealous!!! But not too long, and I will get to see you in person!! I hope your holiday season is happy and safe! It is 100 degrees down here, and we are trying to keep cool!!
I'm turning on the air-conditioning and watching the Cricket!
My love
Auntie Debbie (your god-grandmother!)

Hello Hazel
This is your Auntie Debbie from Downunder emailing you. I am here to tell you that you are the most beautiful baby in the whole world--yes, even considering both hemispheres! and you are the luckiest baby in the world to have such loving and intelligent parents!! Did you know that people all over Australia know about you?? I tell them about you and show them your photos.
Next summer I will come to visit you and to hold and play with you. Since your mother is my god-daughter, I think I must be your god-grandmother!! Anyway, I want you to know that even being 10,000 miles away, I love you!!
My love

Hey Sarah & Zack, Hazel is the prettiest baby girl in the world! Of course, I’d love to hold her? Can I –if I come to Noble? Wishing you all the best! I love your pictures too! Great Job. Do it again!!! Love Cindy Helmer
Hazel turns One!
Our baby is one! It's amazing to think a whole year has past. Hazel is uber close to walking - cruising all around the couch and using her walker toy to get around. We expect her to start walking on her own very soon.
We celebrated with LOTS of friends and family at Reaves Park. Hazel did very well with her birthday cake - she certainly conquered it! We are so blessed to have such a large group of people who cares for us and our little girl. Thanks to everyone who helped and attended!
Be sure to check out photos and I hope to have video up soon!
Spring
Well, we are hoping "real" Spring in Oklahoma has finally shown it's face. The weather here has been crazy! From heavy coats one day, to shorts the next. We had a great Easter, not too busy this year, which was nice.
Hazel is getting to be so big! She is crawling all over the place and can walk from one end of the couch to the other while holding on. She will definitely be walking by her first birthday, which is less than 2 months away - yikes!
Hope everyone out there is doing great!

Holiday
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas - we had fun with Hazel's first, she liked eating the wrapping paper. :) We are looking forward to a joyous 2009 and sharing it with you all!
Fall
Our little Hazel is growing! She is nearly 6 months old and has become quite the explorer! Check out a few more photos under our Fall 2008 album, including little miss Hazy's lower lip. :) More to post soon!
Jack and Jill (and their little H20 too...)
Last night was our HeeHaw Hoedown at church, an alternative to Halloween for the kiddos. Zakk and I dressed up as Jack and Jill, and little Hazy was our pail of water. :) Too fun!
Liar, Liar
Ok, so I think I lied in my first post when I said this site wouldn't be all about Hazel, but really, how important are mom and dad anyway?? It's all about baby nowadays. :)
I woke up Wednesday morning amazed that I have a 4 month old. The old cliche is right - they do grow up so fast. Hazy is such a happy baby, as long as she is fed and clean, she has so much fun watching her butterflies (mobile) or singing to us. She's definitely figuring out the toy scene, grabbing anything we wave in front of her face and sticking it in her mouth.
This week Hazel did her first painting, of course with the help of mom. I think she's got some talent! She could almost pull off a Jackson Pollack, with a little work. ;) I haven't taken photos of the artwork, but I'm sure I'll post them soon. (VERY interesting, I'm sure - haha).
Party Girl
Last weekend Hazel attended her first (technically, second) birthday party. We joined in celebrating Kellen Ryan's 1st birthday!
Of course she didn't really have a clue what was going on, but she did get a lot of love and passing around, especially by "pseudo grandpa," Kellen's grandpa - so much that she smelled of his cologne afterwards - ha!
The birthday boy had fun unwrapping his gifts, banging on the boxes, but didn't seem too interested in making a mess of his birthday cake. It was a blast and I can't wait to attend more kiddo parties - and goodness knows we've got more ahead of us!!
Lotsa love.
Today's homepage is dedicated to lots of love...even from the dog. Gotta love the goofy faces.
Also, if you never saw our birth announcement, check it out below in the video section.
The Canadians Go Home
Last Monday we said goodbye to our awesome friends, The Taylors. Jen and Jared came to live in Oklahoma just a few years ago to take a job at our church. They planted themselves in Norman where we all enjoyed many great times with them, including the birth of their son, Isaac. They recently decided to move back to their homeland to be closer to their family, plus start a great new job.
In the end it was much harder to say goodbye than anticipated. Becoming friends with the Taylors was the kick start of numerous other friendships, so as "they" say (Leslie, Jen, and Jackie - quoting "Friends")..."It's an end of an era."
Check out the photos from their goodbye packing on the photo page...we miss you guys!!
