I'm still up. I got an hour and half of sleep last night. Wanted to thank you so, so much for stopping by my site, My Little Ferals. You are one of the first (I think THE first) outside person to stop!!! Thank you. It gave me a little boost. If you would like your kids to see a cute book, The Manx book is neat. They are cute as the dickens and too lively for me. They were too lively for me to even get a photo with my grandson, 8. He finally asked if he could play with the 'regular' kittens. I watched Hannah some on Saturday so her parents could ride the river on inner tubes! They said it was so much fun..but they head to the lake this weekend for wakeboarding and sking with her family. Actually, I have been really productive the past few days. Got a creative streak and started working on 2 family projects. And then, I received 3 album contracts. I knew they were coming, but wasn't expecting them in one 'pile'. I won't start on them for a couple of weeks so I have time to finish Jonathan & Corynn's.
I also went on a lovely boat ride today. It was great being out and I did take my camera. Did a little shooting so we will see how 'rusty' my skills have gotten! eeeks!
So glad you had a great visit with your cousin! Where exactly in LA are they from? I grew up in Metairie.
I am going to get back to work for now...just wanted you to know I was thinking of you.

Rene and I are both from New Orleans and all of our family still resides there so no family helpers! And, as much as I love my girlfriends, I am not sure they would be able to handle cleanup after my 3 guys! I think in a week or so, it will be time to call in a PROFESSSIONAL!

And not to put you to work of anything, but my house is now going on 5 weeks of 'Guy Cleaning'. It is probably best that I cannot get to the downstairs...which is where my 2 sons are. It frightens me to think how badly things might be getting down there! I have always known there is a big difference with Girl Cleaning...but this broken leg thang is putting it to the ultimate test! hehehehe I just keep 'NOT LOOKING"...but I think I will soon have to break down and call someone to come in before it gets unmanageable!
I did get some designing done today. Not thrilled with all of it.....but it will do. I still have much more to work on, but it definitely felt SO GOOD to be productive!
I am taking a 'break' for a few minutes so I am going to do a look around.

Starla, thank you so much for your KIND KIND comments on my article. Yeah, it's nothing I'm ashamed of but kind of hard to bring up especially when we don't see each other in person. I just try to be 'normal' LOL and live as normal a life as possible. Crap happens to the best of us and we either can feel sorry for ourselves or get off our buns and do something. This new journey is something VERY new. So far I'm doing ok - well better than I thought actually! Your comment made me get teary eyed, just knowing I have so much support is really overwhelming - making me tear up now. I'm not one to talk about myself because what happened to me is what it is. We had a great time camping...but my lap top crashed again. Between Steve and Rob they have it up running again but AAARGH!! It's such a pain! I use a squeegy too!...so much faster - and if I go to the work of cleaning my windows - it's going to stir up a storm that afternoon anyway, so if there's a few drops left - I can't tell the difference! Wash my Car, Wash my Windows - yeah there's a cloud somewhere that's going to show up in my neighborhood and it will sprinkle just enough to change what I just worked on!

I have had a guy come to my place once a year and I haven't called him yet. They are pretty nasty. He uses a squeegy and hot soapy water. I love clean windows.

Joey we have horrible humidity. Just horrible. And windows are a breeze with a squeegie. The trick is hot soapy water. You don't use windex with a squeegie. If you do not have a squeegie then newspaper and windex and rubbing alcohol mixed works the best but takes way longer. I usually clean and schedule windows for another day....but sometimes it doesn't work that way.

Hey Starla! I am up and moving around today and actually feeling good. My sweetheart of a husband moved our outdoor furniture around and created an outdoor living room for me off of our bedroom balcony. I am currently sitting outside having coffee and enjoying the sunshine...yeah!!!!
Dr. says to plan for 12 weeks....so it does not look like I will be doing any waterskiing this year. Bummer.....But as soon as I can get off of these meds, I am going to start working on a few albums and that should keep me occupied and productive!
I read that you got lots of uploading completed...so I am going to check out all your new pics. You did an awesome job on your last albums, so I can't wait to see the new images you have loaded.

I'd be pissed as nails about the internet thing. It is so frustrating when u can't get a decent person to talk to. Its even more frustrating when u can't get on it. I think mine is about due for a crash - I hate to say it but i keep getting virus warnings and they say my virus vault is full. What the hell does that mean? If you don't hear from me for a few days, it might happen. Gosh i can't think like that. I am spooking myself out.

Hey Girl......the meds worked VERY well today and I felt good all day! I am finally accepting the bad break (my attempt at humor...heheheheeh) and just trying to move into another place mentally and come up with some new creative ideas for summer time fun. I have decided it would not be as fun or a good use of our funds to try and make the San Diego trip in my current condition. Ah well........
Unfortunately, I did not break the leg on a homerun play! I was however coming into third after a darn good hit into left field. I have been told that the 3rd base coach has been given a tongue lashing for instructing me to slide! JK......
Glad to hear you got your albums and the girls loved them. I will now have much more time than expected to work on some albums....so give me some chit if you don't see a posting from me in the next few weeks. No broken leg excuses!!!!!!!!!! hehehehe
I will be on and off the next few days. (Trying to keep my mind off the surgery on Thursday) Just know that when I am away, all of my SF buds remain in my thoughts.

I have buried myself in TRAVEL SEARCHES and believe I have nailed the 2 options for consideration:
1) St. Thomas Cruise (7 or 9 day)
2) Trip to San Diego (6 nites) + a 4 day cruise
I am leaning very heavily to the San Diego trip as I can get SO MUCH vacationing in for the $$$$....and my gosh what a TON to do! My brother was also restationed to San Diego from Japan so I could sneak in some visit time with him as well.
I will let you know as soon as I am brave enough to click the dang 'Book It' button!
I hope you are doing OK. I will get back into the swing of things eventually. For now, just know all of my SF friends remain in my thoughts!

looks and sounds like you all had a fabulous time camping....any bears around your parts of the woods? When i was youger we always started of the summer with a camping trip. My mom still does, but she has now bought a smaller camper and they leave it at a campground. When i grew up we only did the tent thing.....so much fun.

Hey Starla! Just took a good look'see through your pages! You just get better n better with that camera! Looks like you had a great time - and that's what it is about! And you ate pretty good too!:0) The Steaks and Corn pics! Yum! It's pretty amazing what you can cook when you have some heat and a pan! I can't wait for us to load up on Wed and head out Thur - Sun! We might get some showers...but that's not going to stop us! We have our Lap Tops and fav movies if we have to be inside for awhile! Sadie gets anxious to get out - but if we hike in the morning, she'll just curl up and nap. With the rains, now we can have a campfire! yippee! We have fire restrictions when it gets to dry! Starla, Guess what, I told a fib. The Wedding is next weekend. :) LOL You asked... My husband is the Distributions Manager at Coca-Cola. He has been there for 22 years. I don't ususally have to ask him to leave his title at the door. Oh when you were talking about dying Easter eggs and how you said you'd try and make one really ugly - that has been a family tradition in our family for years! We'd make the last one as disgusting as could be and we'd call it the speckled turd! Every year my dad said, don't forget to leave one out for the Speckled Turd for Uncle Dan. pic of a flower? Try all of the different settings on ther camera. Try the one that has a center/auto focus. Just keep trying and changing the settings and hold that camera really still. Make sure your lighting is good. Take a piece of foil and reflect light on all sides. That's all I know. Never tried a flower before... Got a big monkey but they were fuzzy too :)~~ hehe

Starla! Woo-hoo you are back. Thanks for the comments on my page and glad you got yout internet fixed. My modem just died on me but i was without internet for five days. You had it much worse. Oh my gosh, you have added so many fabulous photos - I LOVE this. I love your pumpkins. Thats one thing i miss is that tradition. It's fun seeing everyone's pumpkin creations. Love the site change. Our pumpkins made it til this weekend and then died an ugly death, they were turning black on the inside. I had them outside on the porch, so that's a good thing :)

Hey Starla!...Always fun to see when you pop in! So What's for lunch today?! Do you get to use your own recipes? Where I went to school...all of the farm ladies were the school cooks...and their rolls were to die for!! And I mean it! Holy Cow...they were great cooks!
Your smoking pig...sounds soo yummy!! Did you do like a roast ..or ribs? We went to an Apple Orchard last Friday and they had some stacks of dry wood from the trees for sale - There was a guy that had a wheelbarrow full of wood and I thought...I bet he has a smoker!
So will you keep all of the baby pigs?...or sell some? Is this the first time the Momma pig had babies?
We are getting some cold weather from Colorado today - about 20 degrees cooler...but will be back in the 80's by the weekend. They already have snow in Colorado!

Starla...the 'downside' to changing the image resolution on your camera is that in the event you want an enlargement, the image may start to look grainy. I always shoot in large file sizes and upload these images with the original file size in tact to SF. I haven't done the type of volume uploads mentioned here...but I haven't encountered any difficulties uploading to the SF site.
As an alternative to chaning your camera settings, and when I am just uploading pics that I plan to post to my Sharesite, I copy the image and then reduce the file size of the duplicated image. Uploads for these files goes REALLY fast! Hope this helps!
BTW.......this is the first time I found the 'Whose Site Is It Game'......LOVE IT! Very original and very creative.

I was typing u a message and my Internet stopped. ANNOYING. Anyway, I heard from another girl who is having trouble uploading photos. I told Rachel and she said sometimes when they make changes to Shutterfly (like Wed) it slows things down. I told her these girls have been having trouble for over a week. She thought then it could be internet or picture size. Still seems weird. I love computers but damn they can be such a PIA when they don't work! I have a nice big flash stick now too for storage and backup - and the shutterfly too.
I'm no Computer Tech my any means - but if you haven't changed your picture sizes on your camera from when they used to load up quickly...I bet your having server problems. When was the last time you ran a scan with your antivirus?... Get a scan to take out any spyware that may be dragging down your speed. Just a thought.

Joey, my jump drive is just a little stick that I plug and unplug into my USB and it holds about 5000 pics and only cost 20 bucks at Wal mart. I love it. My Aunt has one of those external hard drives that she saves everything to...but this thing is so compact I can carry it anywhere. I did not call today. I am going to call Mike tomorrow and talk to him about my service and see if they are filtering like no ones business. I hope not because when I signed up with him I specificly asked about shutterfly and uploading photos and he told me then it would not be a problem. And it wasn't at first....but is getting more difficult as time goes on. Don't know who I would use if not him....oh well. We'll see what he says.

I do ramble on and on sometimes about nothing sometimes about something!! Starla, if your computer is new, then it must be your Internet service. $30 a month is darn good. I'm on w/ Qwest - so I get my phone and High Speed Internet on that. My computer is pushing 2 1/2 yrs old I think. I do so much with pictures. Saving to a jump drive is smart! I'd be devastated if I lost all my photos like poor Gina. I have an External Hard Drive like she had. Is a jump drive like a flash drive that you stick in the USB of your computer? And that holds all your pictures? I used to save all mine to CD's, but now that my files are so big - it's not worth it. They are safe on Shutterfly (I hope)! Ok so it is taking a while and I just checked my firewall on Windows and it is turned off. Those three pics I was uploading for you LIsa are still not uploaded. I am also all hopped up on Bendrly right now cause when I got off the phone with you I was standing outside talking to everyone leaning against the house and got STUNG by a YELLOW JACKET!! And man does it HURT! Not fun. I am going to call the internet guy tomorrow and ask some questions and see what he has to say. My internet is supposed to be highspeed......I only pay 30 a month cause it is my neighbor....but I am going to have to tell him that I can't use him if it is his service. I really hope its not cause I like the guy and at first everything was great. I may need to just get on with Dell support and see what they have to say. Joey I put the pics on my computer and as soon as they are uploaded I save them to my jump drive and off they come. But the problem is becoming to upload them. It used to not take long at all so I 'm not sure if it is the computer...the service...or a combination of both....who knows...not me!

Hey Starla! It's me - trying to make my rounds and spend a little time!! I think somewhere you asked how long it took to upload 270 photos. I upload them to Picasa - it's a free photo editing program. I like it because its easy. Just basic fixes etc. I upload to there and its super fast from my camera card - it ttakes about a minute. Then I go through the pics, do some quick editing, cropping. Then I mark the ones I want to uplolad to Shutterfly. It turned out to be 270 and I haven't even added them to my site yet. While they were uploading, i went to the grocery store, and when I came back - they were still on 220 or something like that. My computer went into sleep mode. So then the rest finished in about 10-15 minutes. Overall I'm guessing it took 25 min??? My file sizes are big 2.7MB! Are yours pretty big too? That could be why it could be taking long to upload. Do you have high speed connection? Before i had mine, i never would have been able to upload that many at one time. You can change you camera settings so it shoots in smaller sizes - you'll still get good quality photos, it will just be like 900kb instead of 2.7MB. It may be 'easier' on your computer to not upload huge files. I could just be rambling. Does this make sense though? Anyone else have input?

Ok so here's what happened. My Macafee was not working properly so the only thing working was my firewall and it was not letting me do much. SO after about an hour chatting with a technician we decided that I needed to uninstall and then reinstall so that is what I did. It is a quarter to 11 and I am finally finished. Been working on all of this since about 8:30 so I am exhausted. I am sorry that I am behind on everyones sites and I promise I will catch up. See you ladies tomorrow.

Welcome back Starla and we are on the same time zone. Hope you had a great weekend. It was rainy and chilly here. Lovely June weather. I was outside Friday night for a half hour taking a photo of the moon - it was so pretty but looks like blobs on my camera. I think most are out of focus. i can't see if its out tonight from my patio - i'm too tired to search for it.
i did get a picture of a baby Robin that has been pooping ALL over my deck. Its nasty. they must think my railing is a pooping perch. LOL

Thats cool Jean about your daughter and you loooking at the moon at the same time. That is really neat. I don't have a tri-pod so I'll just have to keep on trying. Starla I didn't see the moon last night - it was too dark last night!!! That sounds a bit dumb, but i didn't see it.
Not sure when we are going to the lake. It's supposed to be knd of chilly this weekend and I don't want to sit in a trailer all weekend. My parents have a trailer/camper that is set up year round in a camping ground. Its fun but so much work. Catch you later.

Joey & Starla - Remember one thing that I learned - The Moon...is a reflection of..the Sun! So your really photographing something that is Really Bright! Keep that in mind - and stablize your camera on a tri-pod ... or in my case the back of our truck!
When my daughter was homesick at college - in TX - I'd tell her to look out her dorm room window and could she see the moon? I could too and then we'd have a little talk and all better... sounds kinda hokie..but it worked! Starla...file that...you have girls that are still coming up to that "way from Home" age!! I'm exhausted...Good Night!

Hey Starla and Joey! I think it's great that you are challenging yourself - or each other to take pics of something that is actually pretty tricky to do! You'll just get to know your camera's even better and when you finally get the shot that your wanting...then put that hand over your shoulder and give yourself a pat on the back! Good for you! So our cameras are close....no wonder we can't shoot the moon.. Thank you to all of you that suggested me.....Not sure who did but they made my DAY! They are fabulous in person.....I am trying to decide If i like the soft cover or the hard cover? In the I discover I like the soft. In the Boo at the Zoo I love the Hard Leather! (Thank you LIsa!) My camera is a canon powershot A590 - i know it can do more than i'm aware of - back to manual. Maybe it will give me moon tips. hehehe - it was a gift for my bday from my siblings last year. it was a huge step up from my previous digital camera. i like that its small enough i can carry anywhere - and that i do. chat later girl....

I got the I Discovered book yesterday and when I got home today I had a thinkg in the mail saying I had to go to the post office to pick it up. It is probably my mouse pad and mug. Hi Starla, Thanks for visiting. Yes went with Victoria today for the job fair. First of all just to keep her spirits up and moral support. Then for simple company. Treated her to a new blouse at Macy's and treated her to lunch also. Tomorrow she one more job fair and I hope that someone calls for an interview. The part that makes me mad as heck is that some companies don't even call to grant an interview. At least give the person a chance. Any yes please keep Victoria in your prayers. Starla, i remembered what I was going to tell you. Awhile ago I had asked if you posted you book to Gallery and you said you didn't feel it was that good or something like that. The books in Gallery don't have to be 'perfect' at all. Mine for sure aren't. Others may get ideas from your books. So I'll b looking for your books!!
I heard on Lisa's site that you had fun camping. My parents have a trailer at a campground that we have been going to for over 25 yrs. Its fun and this weekend was beautiful. At least one of those days will be a "honey do" day. :) We have had alot of rain here too! Today was a beuatiful day. I planted some of my flowers. I actually have color in my yard now. Along with some water. We have our own lake right now! Your site is really shaping up very nice! I have to admit I have been a slacker on mine. Jean! I was so excited that I got the Jungle book movie! AWESOME! We did get invited to go the lake with some friends out Bowie way...we may go for one night. Have to be home Sunday though because my grandmother is in the hospital in Rockwall in the ICU and I need to go visit her.
