Today Gina was a trooper!  We went to the Sea Witch Festival in Rehoboth and she had a blast; her jaw was on the ground when the witch ballon and the marching band came by.  It was a lot of fun, windy and rainy, but fun. 

 

As you can see from some of the recent pictures, Gina has been transformed into a Eagles and Phillies fanatic.  GO TEAMS!  She really does enjoy watching, she says the Eagles chant with John and I and says YEAH when everyone else does, it's really cute. 

 

Also, Gina and I are taking music class with Miss Debbie once a week.  She is getting better, that is all I can say.  This is her first organized activity and she is not used to the process, but we are getting there.

 

Some of the pictures probably need explaining...Gina is holding the letter "W" under her chin.  This is a new thing that she does.  She picks an object about the same size at the letter and will hold it under her chin while she is doing other activities or just walk up and down the hallway with it like that.  The other picture that I feel needs an explanation is the one that I think is hilarious.  Gina had an empty box and coupons that I was not going to use.  In our crowded living room of toys, Gina decided that for about 30-40 minutes she would stack the coupons on top of the box, push it to the end of the hallway, knock them off, put them back on and then return to the starting point.  I am not kidding when I say this was her source of entertainment for quite some time.

Most recently we had a visit from another Hannah on the Eastern Shore.  Not much resulted, according to John, technically we should be calling it Tropical Storm Hannah, but it's more fun to say Hurricane Hannah.  Anyhow, we had a Hurricane party on Saturday.  It rained and was windy, but no loss of power.  The rain stopped after dinner and the next morning was beautiful.  The most recent pictures are those from our Sunday trip to the beach.  It was awesome.  The water line receded and the waves would come up far and create these little pools for the girls.  Us parents actually got to sit in our chairs without chasing the kids to the water's edge.  John braved the ocean; the waves were really rough.  Enjoy.

August has come and gone in a flash.  We have done a lot.  Went to the beach, some more, saw Aunt Camille and Uncle Adam and Nonna in New Jersey, got a few more teeth (finally), starting throwing fits and demanding what she wants.  Boy she is growing up fast.  I hope you enjoy our pictures.  I am going to try and load some video.  In September, Gina is starting a music class, we are very excited.

We have been very busy this summer.  Gina changes on a daily basis.  John and I are busy with work, but when the weekend arrives, we try and get to the beach at least one time.  Gina usually plays hard and passes out within seconds of getting in the car.  She loves the sand and the water (I do not know how, being that I have hated them both for most of my life, that must be from John).  It is hard for us to believe that August is almost over.  However, once school begins, us locals can really enjoy the beach!

Thanks for sharing. What a contrast from bundled up for the snow to sitting on the beach enjoying the sun. I can hear her little high pitched squeal while she is sitting at the table. Love to all.

I love the pic posted 2008-09-04 of Phoebe and Gina both sitting on the dog bed.  It makes me laugh because they both have a look on their faces of "what's going to happen next!??"

Hello!  Of course we love the picture of Gina in her police car!!!  We will definately have to order one of those to put in a frame at our house :)

 

I beg to differ that you didn't like the sand.  You were quite a sun bather if I remember and loved to rub it in my face that you tanned quite easily to my burn ;)
