For the week of Thanksgiving we drove with Nala to Tahoe.  Pop's and Mom joined us the next day.  On Thanksgiving day Mike, Danni, Max, and their new puppy Charile joined us.  Pop's made a wonderful, tasty Thanksgiving dinner. One day Ryan and  I drove around the whole lake.  It was interesting to see all the tiny towns and how people live.  It was a beautiful drive.  The whole week was wonderful, very relaxing. Which was much needed.

Well 31 was harder than 30.  I am officailly "in my 30's" now. Uhhh.  =)

For my birthday Ryan got me tickets to see Mama Mia on my actual  Birthday.  I was so excited.  I had been wanting to see it, since it originally came out. We had a great time, and even started off the evening with a wonderful dinner. 

The day after my birthday we went to Temecula for some horseback riding then did some wine tasting.  My Dad, Cheryl, Uncle Rob and Karen went with us.  This was originally a Valentine's gift we decided to use on June 25th.     This was Ryan's and my first time wine tasting.  Of course we always seem to get the stubborn horses.  Which of course makes it more fun and interesting.  Overall it was a fun filled trip.  

Then on Sunday Kem and Sharon took us to Las Brisas in Laguna Beach for dinner for my Birthday.  It was such a beautiful view while eating fantastic food. And oh my gosh, the desserts, wow!!  Even the presentation of it was pretty.  

What an amazing Birthday weekend!

For our 7 year anniversary we went on a 7 day Mexico Cruise.  They canceled out Mazatlan stop, so we stayed the night in Puerto Vallarta.  We also visited Cabo San Lucas. We got a balcony room which was amazing. Once you go balcony you can never go back.  What a wonderful thing to have. We enjoyed many hours out on the balcony. 

We went exploring in Puerto Vallarta, which was a little nerve racking and fun, all at the same time. We saw some beautiful city life.  Ryan got what I call his "Arriba" hat (he looks like Speedy Gonzales), and I got a cowboy hat.  We bargained them down from $55 for both to $20 for both!!!  We are great hagglers.

Cabo is where the video is taped. The waves were just beautiful as you can see in the pictures and they were HUGE.  Going within 50 feet of the water was prohibited on the Pacific side. We walked right through a 5 star resort to their beach (the Pacific side). We then walked up the beach towards the tip of Cabo where the rocks blocked the rest of the way. A cute little Mexican man was there.  Ernesto was sweet enough to help us over the rocks for $4 each way, with only 1 minor scrape on Carissa's leg. On the other side of the rocks was more beach to walk, then it lead to Lover's Beach.  It was quite a lot of walking, but well worth it! 

We got very lucky with our dinner couple.  They were very sweet and fun to hang out with.  They are from WA and were frequent cruisers. So they new all the in's and out's of cruising.

We enjoyed lots of entertainment on the cruise and got to know one of the male dancers.  Our cabin steward was very helpful and sweet as well. 

All in all we had a fabulous trip and a very Happy Anniversary! 

For Ryan's birthday we went to see Glenn and Sue.  Courtney and Jon came as well and we both brought our kids, Nala and Banksy.  We had a very nice time with a great dinner.  For his birthday I gave him a newback motorcycle tire. But that is hard to buy on my own, so I took 2 bills and folded them origmi style.  I made a heart and a bow tie.  It was a lot of fun doing that for him.  It was a very fun, family filled weekend.

In January we went to Vegas for our friend Nick's 30th birthday. We had a great time.  We went to the club at the top of The Hotel at Mandalay Bay with a group of friends.  It was a great time with a beautiful view.  The second night they booked a 1,800 sq ft suite for the birthday party with a DJ and drinks.  It was a great time and a short walk to our room (which is key)  =) 

In September Ryan, Nala, and I were able to get away for five days to go to the Muilenburg house in Lake Tahoe.  We had a fun filled time.  We went on a short bike ride the day we got there, to go see the sunset.  On another day we took a longer moutain bike ride (with Nala in tow of course).  The ride ended up longer than expected.  Ryan likes to be adventerous, and we ended up on a main highway outside of South Lake Tahoe.  Luckily we found our way back, since he is very good about knowing where to go (most the time).  We were all very tired.  Nala slept all night and all morning.  We also had fun at the casino, where we went to a comedy club.  Then Ryan was going to be the one to gamble, but when we pass a roulette table; if I get more than 3 in a row, he makes me play.  So I doubled our money, lost just a couple rounds and left with our winnings.  It was a successful and enjoyable trip. 

In June we were able to join the Bible family to stay and a family house in Catalina.  Glenn, Sue, Courtney and Jon were all there with us.  We had a wonderful time.  We were able to take the gold cart out and explore some of the island.   One night us kids went out late to karaoke.  We had a blast.  Thank you Glenn and Sue for setting up a wonderful long weekend!

Yet again Ryan out does himself. He put together a great birthday party for me and my friends with a taco guy and a band.  The band played great music, and the tacos were so delicious.  My mom made the best cupcakes I have every had and the display was just wonderful. I truley enjoyed being around my friends and family on the occasion.  I had a wonderful time and will never forget it.  Although the party went pretty late (only til 3:30 am, no biggy) with a few 5 of us left, which of course was a fun time. ;)  Not to mention the cops only had to come once to quite us down.  hehehe 

For our anniversary on April 17th Ryan planned a fabulous surprise of takin gme to Catalina for the weekend. It was an outstanding weekend.  We had a beautiful ocean front room with a little indoor balcony, which we enjoyed out first day. On the second day we went for an 8 mile hike to the top of the island.  We were able to see the other side and see great new views of Avalon.  On the way down from the hike we came through Wrigley Memorial (beautiful with all the tiles), and the botanical gardens (which weren't much of anything but cactus and greenish brown plants). 

It was an amazing anniversary weekend and I have my wonderful hiband to thank for that.

On Feb 13, which is the day after Ryan's birthday, I threw him a surprise birthday party.  It was great because he had no idea and was completly surprised.  Thank you to all our friends for some to clelebrate my hubby.  He was very appreciative that you all come to celebrate and hang out.   I love you Ryan and am glad you had a great time!

We had a wonderful, unforgettable New Years Eve this year.  Our bother-in-law was able to get a great cabana for our group and bottle service for drinks.  We were able to invite 6 of our friends to join us.  We rented a limo to go up to LA to the Stone Rose in the Sofitel Hotel.  We were being the safe responsible ones!  =)  We had such a great time with our friends.  What a great way to bring in the new year.  Also thanks to Jon for a fabulous evening. 

We were blessed to go on a family trip to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico; to the El Dorado Royale resort.  We went with my Dad, Cheryl (step-mom), Jeff (step-brother), Rob (uncle), and Sherry (Rob's girlfriend).  We left the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and came home =(   on the Monday after.  Our second day there we got our free 50min massage that we chose to have out in the raised cabanas on the beach.  It started sprinkling toward the end of the massages. So we went into our seperate sanas for a little while.  By the end when we were walking back to our place it was a light rain. By the time we were 3/4 the way to our place it was pouring.  We were soaked when we got back to our room, but it was very fun!  We had sun for 70% of the trip.  It wasn't very funny though when... we were trying to lay out and it was cloudy, then when we went on the time share shpeal and in for lunch it would be sunny.  Go figure.  Out of the time we were there we only got to lay out 3 1/2 day, but I am sure my skin will be thankful of that when I am in my 70's.  It was an all inclusive resort which I have come to realize is the way to go. It was great to go to all meals and order drinks and walk away without paying.  All the restaurants were very nice, with great food.  It was a onderful family trip that we will remember forever!  

Can you believe it, that I had my 10 yr high school reunion in July.  I know I can't believe it.  It is scary to think that it has been 10 years since i graduated.  Where does the time go.   I had a great time reconnecting with friends.  I sure wish my bestfriend Emily could have been there though.  Missed you Em.

We went to Washington State in September for my cousin Liz's wedding. She married Justin Steyer who is a great guy. We were able to go up a couple days early and spend time with my best friend Emily and her family (Husband Bryan and son Jack).  She took us site seeing around WA to see the space needle, and walk around the market place.  We then met up with my family (Mom, Pops, and Aunt Diana).  We were able to stay at the wedding site, Wisteria Hollow at Lake Bay.  We stayed the day before the wedding and the night of.  We had fun helping set up all the tables and decorations for the wedding.  It was a beautiful wedding in the most beautiful setting I have seen for a wedding. The weather was perfect with just a little bit of chill towards the evening.  It was so nice for me to spend some time with my cousin who lives in WA, who I don't get to see that often.  The wedding was a blast and we partied all night long.  =) 

In August we had a fabulous trip to New York for one week.  We stayed caddy-corner to Carnegy Hall.  We saw almost all the sites of Manhattan.  We were only 3 streets from Central Park.  Central Park was one of our favorite places.  It was so beautiful and peaceful.  The bike tour was one of our favorite days. We got to learn a lot about the city and see sites we would have never seen on our own.  We crossed the Williamsberg Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge on our bikes.  We went to 3 museums and were able to have some appetizers and drinks at The Boat House bar. It was such memorable trip.  Thank you Dad and Cheryl for the time share week!

We went on a trip to Sibley, Louisiana with Ryan's family.  It was a wonderful trip in a beautiful area.  It was very relaxing (when I wasn't in a boat going through trees looking out for snakes).  Ryan went fishing every day with or without me =)  and finally caught one the day before we left. There was a great netted in patio with a hammock to relax on.  We learned how to set a trot line and a limb line to catch fish.  We would go out in the water between the trees to explore in the paddle boat and the paddle boat. We got together with Jess and Toni, Sue's sister and husband, went to their house for dinner and also went to dinner using the house boat for transportation. We thank you Glenn and Sue for such a wonderful trip.  We had such great time. 

For the New Year we went to Stone Rose for a wonderful fun filled evening...thank you John & Courtney.  We recently went to Vegas and had a wonderful time.  I am still working at Hoag Hospital as a PTA, which I thoroughly enjoy.  Ryan now has his own personal office and working for Edward Jones.

This year we have a trip to Louisiana planned with Ryan's parents and his sister and her husband.  It is going to be a great family trip!
