This year we made it to Panama City for Christmas.  Austin and I went up earlier in the week to have more time to visit with the family!  It was a great time.  Francis, Chad and Mary Beth all arrived on Saturday Christmas Eve!  It has been 6 years since we made it to Panama City for Christmas and I've missed it!  The Christmas Eve dinner at Aunt Carolyn's with our steak dinner was yummy and always entertaining!  Austin was up early Christmas morning and so excited to see what Santa brought!  He also enjoyed passing out everyone's gifts from under the tree.  And then we were back to Aunt Libbie's for Christmas lunch with a few more cousins arriving!

Francis had to drive back on Monday And Austin and I came back on Tuesday!   It was a good thing we had 2 cars, I don't think we would have been able to get everything back home if not. 

Austin was back at school on the 2nd of January.  That weekend we went to the circus with Sunny, his girlfriend and her 2 children.  It was a good show but very long!  We went to the animal open house and then to a pre show.  And to top it off the show was 2 and a half hours long.  

I've been a little slow about getting these pictures up!  But here they are! Austin was a ninja for Halloween we went trick or treating with friends and he got more than enough candy!  He is playing soccer now!  And instead of a traditional Thanksgiving we went to Orlando for a few days and spent some time at Universal Studios!  The weather was perfect and the crowds weren't too bad! 

Now we're getting ready for Christmas!  We will be going to Panama City this year.  It will be the first time we've been back for Christmas since Austin was 9 months old.  I'm very excited and looking forward to spending time with the family and the traditions that I grew up with!

So far it's been a busy month!  I took a quick trip up to Mobile, Al for my cousin Amy's wedding.  we had a really good time.  I had a great time getting to spend the weekend with my mom, Aunts and cousins!  The rest of the family came over for the wedding but didn't stay too long!

Next, we took a trip up to North Florida!  Austin went to Marianna to camp with Mama Jo and Pop.  They suprised Austin and brought Dylan along!  They stayed fished and visited the caverns.  Francis and I stayed in Tallahassee and went to the OU vs. FSU football game.  Chad and Mary Beth came down from Tennessee for the game!  More family time!  Chad and I revisited out college days going to the downtown getdown (for 15 mins or so) and then hitting up Bullwinkles on Tennessee Street.  Saturday was game day!  We arrived early for tailgating and visiting the stadium where they were filming ESPN GameDay!  It was a perfect day, nice weather, great people and a very exciting game (even though OU won).  The crowd was amazing!  It was loud!  Francis said that when FSU scored the tying touchdown his ears were ringing!  Needless to say, it was exciting! 

August has flown by!  My birthday started out the month.  I went over to Orlando to go hang out with Nikki, Megan and Sherry.  We were going to go see Twilight in a garden under the stars, but unfortunetly the weather (we think) caused it to be canceled.  So instead we hung out at Nikki's and had our picnic watch the DVD and then played Twilight Scene It that Sherry got me for my birthday!  It was lots of fun!  Total girls night!

The next day I stopped by to meet the newest addition to the Sorg Family!  Owen Christopher!  He was so tiny and cute!  When I was there he was just 3 weeks old and only pushing the scales at about 6 lbs. 

We've spent some time with the Narido Family at Clearwater Beach playing on the water slides and then it was time for school to start! 

Austin is very excited about 1st grade.  He gets to go to PE, music and art!  1st grade is going to be serious with tests and everything. 

We've had lots of birthday parties to attend!  Francis celebrated his yesterday.  Nothing exciting.  But the true birthday celebration will be at the FSU vs. OU Football game in Tallahassee on Sept 17th.  Mom and Dad got us tickets so we will be there!  Can't wait!

Now on to September!

I just arrived back home today from a 2 week trip that has taken me to Panama City twice, Atlanta and Cape San Blas!  It was so much fun!  Austin is still in Panama City with Mama Jo and Pop enjoying his summer! 

Here are the pictures from the beach!  I'll get the rest up soon! But was putting up the pictures from mom's camera too!  Everyone enjoyed fishing, scalloping and relaxing on the beach!  And Austin made everyone play lots of games! 

This weekend we went over to Orlando to help Betsy and Chris celebrate the upcoming arrival of baby Owen.  It was a great time!  We had wonderful people and food!  There were some tears shed, happy ones of course, and lots of laughs! Betsy's most favorite gift was the FSU onsie that we got her!  Her and Chris are huge Gator fans!  It was only far since at Austin's baby shower I was given a Gator onsie! 

We all stayed up way to late hanging out but it was well worth it!  Owen is due to arrive sometime around July 31st!

I know last time I said I was going to be better at updating but it's been a little busy!  Right before Christmas Austin had a trip to the ER with his asthma and croup. Christmas day was the first day that we started to back of his medication.  We had a great Christmas, Austin got way to much and loved every bit of it.  We had a very low key day, just us and Grandma and Francis wanted to have steaks for Christmas dinner.  It was nice not being stuck in the kitchen all day! Mama Jo and Pop gave us a wii so we loaded up on some games as gifts and had fun playing Mario and Just Dance!

Francis and I actually went out for the first time in about 6 years.  Nikki came over from Orlando and we met up with Mike and Judy in Tampa and a bar.  Needless to say we had a little too much fun! 

After Christmas we got Austin into his pulmonologist, they put him on an inhaler daily and upped his prevacid.  A few days later we ended back up in the ER with the astma and croup flaring up again.  A few weeks ago we went to the GI dr and last week they preformed an up GI endoscopy to check his belly.  They said everything looked good and it seems that the meds are working now.  They even took a peak down his throat and said they could see his vocal cords which was not possible last summer. 

Austin finished up soccer and baseball started last week.  This past weekend we made a trip up to Panama City for Kelly's baby shower. She's due in May, but we needed to do it a little early before she couldn't travel any more.  We had so much fun!  It's nice to have all the girls together.  Betsy even talked my dad into having a fish fry Saturday night for the girls.  So Betsy, Kelly and Andrea and their husbands and parents came over.  So we had so more fun! 

So now I think I'm all caught up! 

Austin was in a Holiday concert at school!  It was so cute!  Austin does not like to sing so he was as stoned face as he can be!  It's was so funny!  So right now we're going to continue enjoying the holiday!  I've got to find ways to keep him entertained for 2 weeks while he's out of school! 

We finished up October carving pumpkins and trick or treating with Kathleen.  Of course they ended up with way to much candy but had a lot of fun!

November we continued to play soccer!  Austin's scoring lots of goals managing to get hat tricks in 4 games already!  Baseball ended!  He really enjoyed baseball and the boys had a blast at a bowling party after the last game.  Baseball is starting up again at the end of February! 

Austin had the entire week off for Thanksgiving so we loaded up the dog and all of our stuff and headed to Panama City for the week.  We left Francis at home to work.  We had such a great time spending the week with family and best friends. Austin loves just hanging out at Mama Jo and Pop's house. He loves living the country life, playing in the yard, out in the shop and going fishing with Pop.  He was a little disappointed to learn they we didn't have to go out and shoot the turkey ourselves but instead he got to help Pop shoot it with seasoning before it was friend. 

Our drive home was quiet. Buster was exhausted from having free range for a week.  We couldn't keep him in the yard since he could jump the fence so he had a few "hunting" trips out in the woods with Pup and received some wounds to show for it! 

So my computer died on me in August and I had to send it to Panama City so my Uncle could fix it!  Thanks Uncle David!  We were without a computer for a month.  It was hard. So I've just neglected getting these pictures up!  So a quick update...

Austin started Kindergarten in August!  He loves it!  Enjoys going to school everyday and playing with his friends.

He is playing baseball and soccer right now, so we stay really busy. Practice 3 days a week with games on the weekend. 

We've been up to Panama City for my cousin Melissa's baby shower.  The baby was born last week! 

And we've even been able to throw in a trip to Disney.  Cousins Amy, Anne, Tommy and Phil came down.  We had a great time at Epcot. We took Austin to the Mickey's not so scary halloween party!  So much fun, he got to dress up and trick or treat in the park, ride rides and see the characters! 

Hopefully I'll be better about updating now that I've caught up! 

Today Austin graduated from Pre-K (although he still has one more week of school.  It was exciting!  They dressed in caps and gowns and put on an excellent show!  There was lots of loud singing, dancing and even some sign language.  They all received Diplomas and had a slide show at the end.

Austin's head was a little big so his cap didn't stay on the entire time, but it was a super cute show!  After graduation we were invited to one of his friends house for a party!  He has had such a great year in school. He loves it and enjoys going! He's talked about how he's going to miss his teacher next year when he goes to Kindergarten.  He's made some great friends, too bad most of them will be going to different elementary schools. 

A couple of weeks ago at the Dr she asked what he wanted to do when he grows up and his response was "I'm going to Kindergarten."  One step at a time and we're on our way! 

 

Medical Update:  Austin is having the bronchioscope done on Wednesday. They are going to put a camera down his nose to check out his airway to see if they can find a cause for the croup.  I'll update after Wednesday!

What a busy weekend!  Austin's 5th birthday was Wednesday the 24th.  He woke up early and got to open a couple of gifts.  Although the new bunk bed and Buster were early gifts.  He ahd a great day, fun at school and a trip to toys 'r us! 

Then Friday rolled around and Kelly came to town!  We had Andrea, John, Tony, Cayla, Rachel and Kevin over for dinner! And then Andrea and John went out for a little bit while we watched Meredith.  She was perfect, went to sleep shortly after they left. 

Saturday morning came and we had to get up for Austin's football game.  Then it was home to decorate the cakes! Then came party time. We went up to the bowling alley.  Austin had a great time.  We had a big crowd everyone enjoyed bowling!  It went by so fast, bowling, cake and presents...done!

After the party a few people the drove in from out of town came to the house to hang out and see Buster.  It was a beautiful day so we sat outside enjoying the sun and trying to stay away from Busters teeth.  Then it was time for dinner, we went up to the Green Iguana!

After dinner Francis took Austin home and I got some girls time with kelly and Andrea!  We had so much fun! It's so rare that we actually get to have a night like that!  Kelly and I stayed at Andrea's that night. Austin was very upset that he was not invited to the slumber party. 

Sunday morning we had a lazy morning and then went to lunch with Kelly before she drove back to Atl. 

It was a super busy weekend with so much crammed into it.  We were exhausted! It felt so good to just sit sunday afternoon and relax.  And now I'm going to rest some more!

We have a new addition to the family, Buster!  It was time for Austin to have a puppy!  We decided his 5th birthday was perfect.  So it's a few weeks before the birthday but when I meet Buster yesterday I feel in love.  He was at an Animal Clinic.  He had been found on the side of the road.  He's about 8-10 weeks old, beagle mix.  Not sure about what the other part is. He's adorable. So playful, although he's a biter with those puppy teeth. I suprised Austin at school with him. He was so excited!  They've been playing great. Austin likes to run and have Buster chase him.  Since he's still a puppy he takes lots of naps, Austin gets really anxious when he's napping ready for him to get up and play.  He slept well last night and was quiet once he was put in his crate.  He slept until 5:40 this morning!  Hopefully tonight will go well too!

Ok, so it's taken me a little while to get the pictures up but here they are!  We went to Denver earlier this month to see Francis' brother, Keith and his family.  We flew out on Saturday morning!  It was Austin's first time on a plane.  He slept most of the way, which was great (we had a bad friday night and ended up in urgent care due to his asthma, we weren't sure if we were going to get to go).  He was so excited to meet his cousins.  Nancy brought the kids over to the hotel that afternoon and we went swimming!

Sunday we woke up early due to the time change but when we finally opened the windows it was snowing.  We took a walk to get some breakfast and Austin really enjoyed playing in it.  That afternoon Francis and Keith were going to play football, but a bunch of guys cancelled and instead the kids went sledding.  We watched the Super Bowl that night and headed back to the Hotel for a big Monday.

Kaleb came with us and on Monday we went up to Winter Park and took a snowmobile tour. It was beautiful being up there in the woods.  Lots of fun, we stopped a couple of times to enjoy the view and stretch. We played in the snow.  THe boys really loved it! Although Austin was getting tired by the end of it and it was freezing.  After lunch we went tubing down a hill.  It was fun!  I did a couple of trips up and the boys kept going for about an hour.  Then it was back home to get some sleep.

Tuesday we went sledding again!  We needed to take it easy since Wednesday was another day up in Winter Park for skiing and snowboarding.

Austin went to ski school and had his own private teacher (he was the only first timer). He did great!  He had no problems picking it up and was doing turns by the end of the day. Francis tried snowboarding. It has been 7 years since he first tried.  He ran into a "slow" sign and gave up by noon.  Austin didn't want to leave.

Thursday the dads took the kids to the zoo (the reason for no pictures) and the moms went and got massages and lunch.  It was a great day! 

Friday was ice skating. We went up to Evergreen to a lake. All the kids had a lot of fun!  But after a couple of hours they were done.  Austin once again loved it and did really well!  We stopped by Outback for dinner and then went home. 

It was a great trip, we flew back home on Saturday so Francis and Austin had a day to rest before getting back to school and work!  

Andrea, Meredith, Tony, Cayla, Austin, Francis and I piled into Andrea's car on Saturday and drove over to Orlando for Betsy's birthday party!  We had a great time getting together!  We stayed for the afternoon and then headed back home with some tired kids!  I made Betsy's cake!  It was a total suprise to her, inspired from her room during college! 

 

I'm working on getting up the pics from our CO trip!  I keep forgetting and we have so many!  It was a great trip!  Austin loved meeting his cousins and spending lots of time with them!  He loved the snow! And did excellent skiing!

We haven't been doing to much this month! Austin has been playing soccer!  Last weekend friends came to town for Gasparilla. Megan flew in from NC, Tina and Alex came up from North Port and the rest came over from Orlando.  We had lots of fun!  Gasparilla was wet and Francis was one of the few that actually made it to the parade.  The rest of us waited at Sunny's for the rain to stop but it never really did until the parade was over. 

We're packing up this week to fly to Denver on Saturday.  Austin is very excited about meeting his cousins.  Hard to believe that the last time we saw them was 4 and a half years ago. Austin was 3 months and Keith and Nancy only had two children.  Now they have 4!  He's also very excited about flying and seeing snow. Francis has big plans while we're out there! We'll be out there for a week!

Wow! Christmas is over! This year has gone by so fast!  Hard to believe that the new year will be here in less than a week!  I thought it would be easier to just update our December Holiday activities all in one post!  Austin and I went to PC for Thanksgiving! We had a lot of fun, enjoyed seeing the family.  Lisa and I took a trip over to Pensacola to see Amy! Cuzzie time is always fun!  We went to see New Moon (again) and Lisa was not impressed, she's never read the books, she was not excited.  Austin got time alone with Mama Jo and Pop.

The weekend following Thanksgiving we were treated by Aunt Libbie to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Disney! So we met up with Aunt Libbie, Anne and Phil and a few more Comerfords and had a great time!  Austin loves getting autographs from the characters!  THere were even dance parties, and we all know Austin doesn't pass up the chance to do some break dancing. He was dancing along side Pluto and Goofy.  The parade and lights were beautiful and the hot chocolate and cookies were delicious.

The weekend before Christmas, Mom and Dad came down to deliver Christmas presents!  So we exchanged gifts and had an early Christmas with them!  They delivered tons of presents from the family in PC. Austin didn't know what to do with them all!  We had a great weekend playing with all the new toys! We drove out to Alafia River State Park to see what it was about and saw some cool bike trails!  Mom and Dad wanted to check out the camping and kayaking. 

Finally finished up shopping on the 23rd, a little later than I'm used to but we were just so busy and I got a migraine that took me out for about a week.  Austin saw Santa at school but by the time we made it to the mall the line was just too long and both of us were not wanting to stand in the line.  We did get to see The Princess and the Frog which was Super Cute!  We made some cookies and decorated the Christmas trees on Christmas Eve!  I had to cook with him while I was cooking everything else. 

Christmas morning...Austin woke up at 4 and at 6 a.m. We made him wait until 6:30 to get up!  He went straight for the stocking, he liked all the little stuff in there!  He took his time playing and looking at everything!  He was eager to get under the tree to unwrap all the gifts.  We waited cause Grandma was still sleeping!  When everything was done it was an hour and a half and the house was destroyed!  I think we went a little overboard this year, but there wasn't one big gift there were just lots of little things!  We started to clean up since we had company coming over!  There was a stack of things that were unopened just sitting!  But it was a great day! We had good food and great friends come to spend the afternoon with us! One of the funnier parts of Austin opening gifts was from a gift from Chad and Mary Beth!  He got the paper off and it was in a coke box and he said "Look I got coke!" But instead it was a cap gun!  The house is still a mess and we're trying to figure out where to put all the new toys!   

Friday morning, we left the cabin.  Mom and I headed to The Organery in Knoxville for the Bridesmaids Luncheon.  We got to meet all the bridesmaids for the first time along with Mary Beth's mother and sister.  It was a delicious lunch and nice company!  They all seemed so happy about the wedding!  Heard some very nice things about Chad too!

That afternoon we took Austin to Men's Warehouse to try on his tux with the boys.  He was very excited!  He looked so handsome!  He didn't want to take it off.  He liked his "shiny shoes."  He was excited to be hanging out with Uncle Chad and Uncle Matt!  Matt got a haircut that day and cut about 3 inches off his hair! 

Then back to the hotel to change and get ready for the rehearsal.  We had a problem with Francis clothes so he had to go shopping while Austin and I rode with mom and dad.   Bride and Groom were late, forgetting things she needed for Saturday!  But it went well and we were off to Calhoun's for dinner.

Calhoun's is located along the TN River.  It was nice, we were greeted by the family waiting for us.  Dinner was great!  Everyone seemed excited about the wedding! 

Saturday!  Wedding Day!  Mom and I went to meet Mary Beth at the salon to get out hair done! And after that we arrived at the Country Club.  They were starting to decorate...girls were getting ready...and favors were being filled with candy.  Mom had to call in the Aunts to help! Everything was done with plenty of time!  Pictures were taken and we had a few minutes of down time.  The ceremony was  beautiful, lots of tears being held back.  Although Chad was having problems with the unity candle.  Then after Mr and Mrs Chad Allen Miller were introduced we were back outside for more pics.  Then it was time for the party.  Austin was pacing waiting for time to dance...Once he was given the go ahead, he slid onto the floor in the middle of the bridesmaids and got the spotlight!  He was great! He spent most of his time on the dance floor or at the DJ booth requesting his favorite songs! We had a great time!  It was fun to see Chad's old friends!  He looked so happy!  And so did she!  They really enjoyed the night!  Maybe that's why it took them forever before they got in the car to leave or why they came back twice after they left the first time!

Our vacation that we've been waiting on forever finally made it!  We left bright and early Halloween morning to drive to Knoxville to Chad's.  We made a stop in ATL to have lunch with Kelly and Matt.  We made it 12 hours after we left home to Chad's house.  It was just enough time to stretch before Austin was ready to go trick or treating.  It was cold and sprinkling off and on.  So he dressed up and off he went! 

Sunday, mom and dad drove up and after having dinner with Chad and Mary Beth we drove out to Pigeon Forge to check into the cabin.  It was amazing!  4 bedrooms, sauna, media room and a hot tub. We were also visited by the largest racoon I have ever seen.  Monday we went to Gatlinburg and played at OberGatlinburg.  We saw the bears and ice skated.  Megan met us at lunch to hang out for the rest of the day.  We played black light mini golf and Megan and I walked at looked at the shops!  That evening we watched Twilight in the media room!  It was great!  Just like being at the movies with better chairs. 

Tuesday, we drove up to the Smokies along the Roaring Forks Motor Trail. It was beautiful, although it was crowded and we didn't get to hike to the waterfall. At a stop looking at cabins, Megan ran over a parking stump and got her car stuck!  While I was shocked, laughing and taking pictures, another man helped direct her to get off the stump.  After the trail we had a picnic in a park!  The weather was beautiful and a nice change from the heat and humidity of Florida.  That afternoon we went and played at Wonderworks.

Wednesday, we tried the hike to the waterfall again. This time we went early.  It was a 1.4 mile hike.  Francis was freaked out by the "Danger Bear" signs.  He's definetly a city boy!  He's not really comfortable with the thought of wildlife.  The hike was beautiful and the waterfall was amazing.  We were able to get behind it and take pictures.  The hike down was much quicker. After lunch, Francis and Austin went and took a helicopter ride while I enjoyed the outlet mall!  They had a lot of fun flying over the mountains. 

Pop, Aunt Libbie, Uncle Bill, Michelle, Uncle Mickey, Aunt Pat, Dylan and Matt arrived just in time for dinner!  We ate at the Huck Fin Cat Fish House! 

Thursday, Francis and I took Dylan and Austin to the Aquarium.  All the way to the mountains to look at pompano and flounder...But the boys had a great time and we saw sharks and huge sting rays.  We later tried to find everyone else out at Cades Cove in the Smokies, but cell phones don't get a signal so we drove out there but never ran into them!  So instead of a picnic we enjoyed McDonald's and went on a Jurassic Jungle Ride. 

Friday morning we had to pack up to get to Knoxville for wedding activities!  I'll get that up soon!   

We just got home from Panama City and celebrating Melissa and Chris' marriage.  It was a quick trip for the weekend and now we're home getting ready to leave on Saturday to go to Tennessee for Chad and Mary Beth's wedding on the 7th. 

I know I'm posting a lot of pictures, about 175, but after uploading all of them it's too hard to go through and pick out ones that are the best! 

I was very entertained driving up through North Florida small towns.  I thought about stopping in Bristol to pick up Andrea some infant camo for baby Meredith and too bad Melissa and Mary Beth missed out on the wedding registry at the local drug store in Blountstown.  And the rare site of a man on a motorcycle with a large snake around his neck in Clarksville (one of the single flashing lights along 20). 

But on the wedding day!  We had a bridesmaid lunch at the church with Melissa.  The girls were getting ready and the cousins and Aunts sat and laughed and had a great time.  Melissa and Lisa got their hair done, they both looked like they could be a Who, Little Melissa Sue Who and Lisa Lu Who!  If only they would have left it sticking straight up!  Mary Beth was officially accepted in the coven of the Bracelot.  Aunt Libbie took a vote and she was offered the oppertunity to wear our Great Grandmother's Bracelet when she married Chad.  The Keeper of the Bracelet showed it to her and put it away.  It's only allowed to be worn during the ceremony and then is snatched from your wrist as quickly as possible.  Although I think Melissa got away with it before it could be taken. 

The ceremony was beautiful!  Chris turned a nice shade of red when Melissa appeared, Lisa got emotional. And then we were off to the reception! We all had a great time!  The cousins enjoy any time we have together.  Austin and Dylan danced and ran around the dance floor.Francis took Austin home early, he's been sick and needed to rest. But the rest of the family danced the night away! 

I'm very interested to see what's going to happen to Matt's hair for Chad's wedding!  Will he cut it off? Will he leave it long?  Or will he even shave?  We asked Aunt Lola what she thought of it and she said "no comment", Pop offered to "pay the barber" and Mary Beth likes it long!  So we have a few weeks to recover before the family gathers again to celebrate Chad and Mary Beth's marriage.  We wil be in the mountains next week enjoy the sites before the wedding, so lots more to come soon! 

On Oct. 3rd, Austin, Francis and Kyle packed up and drove to Miami for the night.  They stayed at a nice hotel on the beach (which must have been one of the best parts since Austin kept talking about the room) and went to the game that evening. 

It was a long day, Kyle had flown in late from OK on Friday night and then of course Francis had to show him some of the Tampa nightlife.  But they made it to Miami and found the hotel, played in the pool for a while.  The game was at 8 p.m.  As most of you know now, OU lost to Miami.  The boys said it was a great game and they left at the end of the 3rd quarter because Austin was getting tired. 

Sunday they decided to stay for a while and let Kyle enjoy the warm weather, beach and pool. They got back just in time for Francis to make it to his soccer game.

 

As for my while the boys were away!  I enjoyed a pedicure with a friend and lounging by the pool reading!  It was great! I actually got to lay in bed and enjoy the quiet for a little while!  

Sarah and I went to the Blink 182 concert last night and it was amazing!  Francis was supposed to go with me and back out once he signed up for soccer and they play on Sunday nights.  So I happen to run into Sarah a couple of weeks ago at the Casino and she was so excited to go with me!

We got to the show as one of the opening acts were on stage, Asher Roth. I was running a little late meeting up with Sarah due to traffic and a car accident closing down the interstate.  But we did see the only song that we know from him "College".  We were so happy with our seats.  In the first set of reserved seats and 8 rows back from the pit. 

Next up was All American Rejects, (which is where the pictures start, I didn't get any of Asher Roth).  Didn't realize it during the first song but Tyson, the lead singer had a huge brace on his right leg.  The second song he was pushed around stage in a wheel chair. After doing some research on the internet I found that he had surgery to remove a tumor from his leg. They were great and played all of their popular songs. 

Then on to Fall Out Boy!  The crowd was getting bigger and they came on about 8.  They were also great.  It was extremly hot and humid at the show and people in the pit were already getting taken out before Blink even came out!  It was crazy! We laughed at Pete Wentz who put on his hoodie and then quickly took it back off!  They did a great Journey song so it turned into a big sing a long of "Don't Stop Believing".

Then it was time for the main event!  Out they came and Sarah and I turned into giddy little girls...So in love with Mark.  They were incredible!  We sang every song, laughed at every joke! I played a lot with the camera trying to find the setting to get the best pictures!  And thinking of how hot it was they were soaked by the 2nd song.  After a few Mark pulled up his sleeves on his shirt and then they took a short break and he came back and had just cut them off!  It was hilarious!  For their encore, Travis did and amazing flying drum solo!  They lifted him up and flew him around then then he started to spin!  Craziness!  They shot out confetti!  As they were leaving the stage Mark rolled around in it and was covered, kinda like feathers and honey!

We were so sad it was over!  I think we could have stayed all night and been so happy!  I've got some videos from the camera but that's going to take me a little longer to get up!  Enjoy the pics!

Megan came down to celebrate her birthday on the 12th of September.  She's been in North Carolina since July.  We all gathered at Seminole Hard Rock for dinner.  After dinner the boys took the children home and the girls got to spend some time together.  A couple of girls had some luck on the slots, not so much for me!  It was Tina's first night away from Carter.  He's 7 months old so it was well deserved.  She was a little sad, but enjoyed herself none the less! Then on Sunday night began and James stayed with us before heading home.  Megan and I had a great time watching the VMA's.  So much better than watching it alone or with unamused husbands. 

 

This past weekend we drove up to Tally for Jill and Mike's wedding.  We stayed with Chris and Melissa and got the updates on their upcoming wedding in October.  Mom and Dad drove over to pick up Austin.  We had lunch with everyone and then Mama Jo, Pop and Austin went to go stay at the Lodge at Wakulla Springs.  They say they had a great time and saw alligators and snakes on the boat ride around the springs.  They tried to go swimming but the water was too cold. 

When it was time for us to go the wedding it was torture trying to get Francis away from the TV.  Couldn't get away since the OU game had just begun. He was trying to get out of the wedding all together and send Melissa with me.  But we made it and the bride was gorgeous!  The ceremony was beautiful.  The reception was held at Shiloh Farms in the barn.  Yes, a barn, hay on the ground and no air conditioning.  It was HOT.  But so cute!  And apparently it was National Talk like a Pirate Day!  And there just so happen to be a big pirate next to the Saloon.  We had a great time, eating Bar-b-que and listening to the band!  Can't remember their name but I think it had Corn in it!  The bride spent lots of time in front of the fans trying to air out!  And lots of people brought clothes to change into and ended up in overalls, shorts and flip flops.  The bride and groom left in opposing football shirts, the bride in Seminole gear and the groom in his Gator Stuff!

It was a great time! It was fun to see old friends and hang out in Tally! Something I haven't done in a long time! We even visited Tennessee Street after the wedding! Good thing FSU won so Bullwinkles was a happy place!

We had such a fun weekend!  Saturday of course started watching hours of college football!  Francis was so excited about the start of football season.  Betsy and Chris drove over from Orlando and we all met at Andrea's house! Betsy was very eager to meet Meredith.  After a while, Tony, Cayla, Betsy, Chris and us went to Barnacle's to watch more football.  It was a football fans fantasy. The walls were lined with tvs around the whole place with big screens all round too.  So there were plenty of TVs to watch the Gators, OU, USF and Alabama. 

Sunday we all met at Busch Gardens including Jason and his family and Lindsay, Jamie, Tristan and Evan.  It was extremly hot, but there was lots of shade.  The grown-ups rode rollercoasters and the kids enjoyed the smaller attractions, water fun and trains. It was a long day and by 5 we were all exhausted.  The boys had a great time together and there were no major melt downs!  Today we are resting and enjoying the day off!

Tuesday was Austin's first day of school.  He was very excited. Class didn't start until 9 but he was begging to go at about 8.  When we got to school the class gathered outside at the playground and then they let the parents sneak away. Austin was eager to go play with his new classmates and was already fast friends with a couple of boys.  I picked him up at noon.  He was happy and when asked about what he did at school, I really only got a snack report, 3 cheeses and 3 crackers.  As far as I know the class is going well, Austin never says much about it and asked what he learned and he says nothing.  He did get a Sunshine report, a good report, that said he was a good listener.  Today was show and tell and he took a couple of motorcycles.  I can only imagine the stories he might of told.  I have to imagine because he won't tell me.  The teacher sent home some of the papers and then the lesson plan for next week so I have some idea as to what's going on in class. 

And I know some of you have questions about how I did with Austin's first day of school...I was ok until they ran off onto the playground.  I got a little teary eyed. And then one little girl started crying not wanting to leave her mom and holding onto her and then I decided it was time for me to go because that was hard to watch. 

That night we celebrated Francis' birthday!  He turned 35 this year.  I fixed him a steak for dinner, his favorite and then we had cookie cake. 

Just a note to describe the new pictures! Austin and I went over to St. Pete to visit Chad and Matt. They came to town for Chad's bachelor party.  Hard to believe that his wedding is a little over two months away.  We played at the pool all day! Austin had a great time!  He loves spending time with his uncles. 

Saturday we had a birthday party.  It was an ice skating party.  It was for Jessica Narido, Francis' best friends daughter.  This was Austin's first time ice skating, he loved it.  He was watching all the girls spin around and do tricks, they all take lessons and compete so they could skate circles around any of the grown ups.  Francis got out there was Austin holding his hand and helping him around and in no time at all he let go and was doing it all by himself. Francis lied to everyone and said he couldn't skate but he was good and jumping around on the ice.  It was a lot of fun!

When the week started I never had plans for today, but it turned out to be one of the most exciting.  Not only is it dad's birthday today but one of my best friends, Andrea, had a baby girl yesterday. 

Francis ended up taking the day off so he could go and get his DOT physical for work and then took my car for an oil change.  As they started the oil change they found a kitten in the car.  Yes again, if you remember last October we had this same thing happen, only we never saw the cat come out of the car.  The technician wanted to keep the kitten so Francis was fine with that.  They as they were finishing the oil change he heard another kitten.  The 2nd one appeared weaker than the first and Francis wanted to take it to the Humane Society. He brought it home and we thought it was adorable.  It was so tiny that it fit into my hand.  We got ready and went to leave to take it and the mom kitty was looking for the kittens.  Francis put the box down and we walked away and she came and got her baby and took him away!  REUNIFICATION! 

The other exciting event was getting to visit Andrea, John and baby Meredith.  Although Austin and Francis didn't get to go visit because Austin wasn't allowed upstairs because of his age, I had a great time.  Meredith was born 8/19 and was 8 lbs 8 oz and was 21 in.  She's adorable and so sweet.  They've already learned that she doesn't like to be put down, which was fine because I was happy to take a turn holding her!

And the other pictures were of us playing in the pool, more fun with the camera!   

 

Finally after a week we got the chance to go to the pool and use the new underwater camera!  We tried to go to the beach while mom was here but we got rained out and then her and Austin finally got a chance to go the pool but I guess the mood had left me and mom wouldn't take the camera! 

So today was the day, even though it was a little cloudy and I was afraid that we were going to have to come right back home.  The dark clouds stayed to the side of us and we had a great time!  Austin enjoyed showing off for the camera! Austin is such a good swimmer!  He can dive down and get things off the bottom, float on his back, stomach and do the jellyfish float!  He was even showing off his back stroke!

I can't believe it! I don't think I'm really ready for 30, but it's here. I had a great day although the morning didn't start out so nice, I had some fraud on my credit card so I had to go up to the bank and deal with that in the morning, filling out forms to dispute the charges on the account.  Not something I really wanted to deal with on my birthday.  But now it's done and hopefully in the next couple of days we'll get the money back. 

I went shopping by myself that afternoon, Francis was very willing to hand over some money to get me out of the house for a little bit.  When I arrived home, the house was covered with "30"'s. Kinda scary! 

About 5 we had friends come over and we had ice cream cake before we went to dinner at the Green Iguana.  We had lots of fun spending time with our friends. And even though it was my birthday I think Francis had a little too much fun!  He's feeling a little rough this morning!  He's not as young as he use to be. 

Austin enjoyed the party and all the people.  Although he was not happy when I got my present in the mail on Friday. I got a new digital camera that's waterproof so you can take underwater pictures.  He was so upset that he did not get anything and he hasn't received a package in a long time.   It took a while but eventually he got over and didn't freak out yesterday when I opened a few gifts.

We're looking forward to a busy month coming...Mama Jo is coming on Monday for a few days, Chad and Matt are coming to St. Pete for Chad's bachelor party and Austin starts VPK on the 25th.  Not to mention the many more birthday's to come in August...Francis's, my dad's, Mary Beth's and Ella's (Austin's best friend).

We had a fun 4th of July.  My friend, Megan, came to stay with us on Friday.  I mentioned before with the pictures of her going away party that she's moving to NC.  She's now making her last round of visits before leaving on Thursday.  We got up early and went out to Clearwater Beach.  It was a beautiful day.  We enjoyed the sun, sand and water.  Austin had a special treat and got to go on the water slide at Pier 60.  He loved it. After lunch we headed home to get cleaned up and went to meet our friends at their hotel downtown.  The Mumfords came down from PC for the weekend. We walked along the Riverwalk and had a relaxing time. We tried to go to Channelside to watch the fireworks there but it was too crowded so we headed back to the Riverwalk.  The fireworks were great the kids loved them. 

Sunday Megan and I got to spend the day together while Austin and Francis had boy time.  Megan and I got pedicures, walked around the mall and lunch. 

Monday we picked up Andrea and drove over to Bok Tower in Lake Wales.  It's beautiful there.  It's known as the singing tower and has carrilons inside that play throughout the day.  We walked along the gardens and enjoyed the flowers and picking out different animals and bugs for Austin to look at.  His favorite were the huge Koi fish in the pond around the tower.  Megan and I decided to take "engagement" photos of us while we were there.  We had been looking at lots of photos of all these happy couples and thought we would make our own since we were going to a perfect place for it.  It was hard to keep a straight face through the pictures.  Austin was tired of the pictures half way through the gardens. 

Today we enjoyed the day at the pool.  Megan has a waterproof camera so we had some fun taking pictures in the pool.  She's leaving us tomorrow!  She'll be missed! We've had such a great time since she's been here. But she will leave and Kelly will arrive on Thursday for Andrea's baby shower this weekend.  The fun will continue!

This month has been busy and with the week and a half that Austin and I spent up in north Florida it has taken a while for my brain to catch up with my body and getting back to regular routine.

We went to Panama City a few days early before heading to the beach to visit family and friends before we spent a week out at Cape San Blas.  The beach was wonderful, relaxing and super HOT!  Although the beginning we were not sure if anything was going to go right. Dad was having a problem with the boat and while working on it, sliced his hand and had to have 12 stiches.  Matt helped out and got the boat running again.  So we were off to the beach and unloaded and ready to relax.  Although it didn't last long and the boat broke again, so dad decided he needed a break and went home to fix the boat.  He needed to start his vacation over again.  Mom, Austin and I enjoyed our days at the beach. Austin made sandcastles, played in the waves and caught minnows.  I enjoyed reading! For the first time in a long time I actually read a book, and not just 1 but 3.  I finished the first 3 books in the Twilight Saga (I finished the 4th on days days after returning home).  It hooked me and I had a hard time doing anything but reading. 

Dad came back and on Thursday Chad, Mary Beth and Matt arrived, along with the boat. Austin was so excited about the boys coming. He finally gave Mama Jo a rest.  They had water gun fights, water ballon fights and went fishing.  Austin caught his first fish a catfish. Although I missed it cause I was reading, also out on the boat is not my favorite place to be (still have fears of the boat from 23 years ago).  He also jumped off the kayak and caught a sea horse one day. 

It was a great time!  After coming home it took us a week to get going again.  I wasn't ready for my brain to work.  I enjoyed the week and a half break. Francis and I celebrated our 4th anniversary too! Although we didn't do anything (I almost forgot due to the vacation) he sent flowers and candy! 

This past weekend we went over to Orlando for Megan's going away party.  She's leaving in a couple of weeks to go and join her husband in Asheville, NC.  He's been there since March after receiving a head chef position (I think that's right).  We had a great time swimming and grilling.  But she'll be staying with us for a few days before she leaves so we get a little more time with her.

We loaded up Saturday morning and drove over to Orlando to spend the weekend at Universal!  We decided to go to Universal Studios the first day!  For some reason Austin was in a grumpy mood!  He didn't want to ride anything.  We first were trying to go on a ride with all of his favorite cartoons and he acted like he was scared.  Of course, he enjoyed it after we made him get on!  He continued the whining for the morning and we couldn't go on many rides.  He enjoyed the Curious George Play Area!  We left during the afternoon and went back to the hotel because all Austin wanted to do was play in the pool!  I guess he had been deprived from the week of rain that we had.  We were staying at the Rosen Shingle Resort, it was beautiful!  But as soon as we made it downstairs about to walk out to the pool it rained.  So back up stairs and got cleaned up we went back to Citywalk for dinner at NBA City. 

Sunday we went to Island of Adventures.  Austin as in a much better mood! We rode SpiderMan, played in Suess Landing, Jurrassic Park and Popeye and Blutos Barge Ride (we were totally soaked at the end).  It was hot so we ended our day and went back to the hotel so Austin could finally swim in the pool! The hotel had 3 pools, plus 2 hot tubs and a kiddie pool.  After swimming we got cleaned up and back to CityWalk for dinner at Margaritaville. 

Luckily, we only had to deal with the rain once, leaving Margaritaville. Somehow we managed to avoid it the whole time, we were either in a ride or under something waiting for a ride.  But we were prepared. Austin was excited to be able to use his raincoat and umbrella.

The hotel also had an arcade. Austin really enjoyed played air hockey.  It was hilarious to watch him run side to side when the puck got stuck out of his reach! 

It was a fun weekend!  We all had a great time!  

Austin had such a great time playing Tball.  Francis was an assistant coach on Austin's team.  He really enjoyed helping and felt like he was really teaching the little ball players how to play!  I really enjoyed watching!  It was so entertaining watching.  They children would bat and chase the ball they hit, running all over the field instead of too the bases and then of course, the ones that wouldn't play and were picking flowers. 

The season was too short only 6 weeks, but the last few games were really hot. So we are taking a break for the summer from sports and will probably play soccer in the fall.  Austin has enjoyed all the sports so far and talks about how he now has 3 trophies.  The other day he asked me "how long am I going to play sports?"  And I replied "as long as you want to."

since I added some new pictures.  Suprisingly I haven't heard any complaints!  Since Easter we've started going to the pool!  Austin is loving it and hooked!  He wants to go every day.  The first time he jumped in he forgot for a second how to swim!  But within a few  minutes was on old pro again!  So far this year he has learned how to float, I think last year he wouldn't relax enough to let himself float, but this year is much more comfortable in the water.  And he's doing flips in the water! Even dared to do a front flip off the side, although I think it scared him and he hasn't done it again. 

Francis finished up his soccer season.  They had playoff's the last weekend in April and made it all the way to the championship. They were definetly the underdogs, since They had 2 dominate teams in the league.  Their first game they one is penalty kicks.  The next round they beat one of the top teams. Later that day they had the championship game.  They were actually winning but had a break down and the other team scored a couple of goals quickly which lead to penalty kicks again.  Unfortunetly they didn't pull it out! Francis played so hard that he had to call in to work the next day he was in so much pain!

I had a good mother's day!  I spent Saturday shopping with some friends at the new IKEA store, which was crazy.  Sunday we played at the pool and went to dinner!  The boys also gave me beautiful diamond stud earrings!

Austin has also been playing T-ball! He's loving that!  Next week is his final game so I'll post some of those pictures soon!

Easter snuck up on us this year, but we had a good time.  Austin was excited about the easter bunny coming and was counting the sleeps he had until his basket would be filled. 

On Saturday we took Austin to the Hyrdro Harvest Farm Easter Egg Hunt in Ruskin. Austin's friend, Tristan and his family came along too.  We were kind of suprised when we arrived, it wasn't exactly what we thought, we all imagined a farm and a field where the kids could run and go find the eggs, but it was a hydroponics farm so it was a smaller area with rows of strawberries and other plants in "towers".  But when we arrived they had a couple of craft table so Austin and Tristan decorated a pot and planted a flower along with making a bunny.  We had to wait a little while for the hunt to start.  It was hot and no shade at all. The boys were so eager for it to start so after waiting for awhile it began and ended so fast.  Austin found 15 carrots.  He had a really good time hunting for the eggs.  He got lots of prizes for all the carrots he found. 

Sunday morning came and so did the Easter Bunny!  Austin was so excited to come downstairs and see what he had brought.  He found "Bolt" the movie, and boats for the pools and floats along with lots of candy! Then it was time to get ready for church. It was the first time Austin was going to get to go to Children's Church instead of the nursery.  He had to come into the service with us until they excuse the children after a few songs.  He didn't really like the loud music and the singing.  And when I walked with him to the children's area he looked a little frighterned.  I left and the teacher was talking to him and he seemed ok.  After the service Francis and I were both very eager to go get him to see how he had done.   He ran to me to show me the pretty flower and pot that he decorated. 

After church we went home and started getting ready for lunch.  We had friends coming over!  Megan, Tina, Alex and Carter and Angela all came for lunch. We fried a turkey and everyone brought a dish.  Everyone was stuffed.  After lunch Megan and Austin colored eggs.  Although I'm not sure which one had more fun! 

It was a great day and we loved being able to celebrate Easter with all of our friends.

Austin is still talking about Easter and loving all the candy!  I keep find candy all over the house and trying to put it away! Austin today on the way to school was talking about God, which is usually a daily conversation anyway, but today he was talking about Jesus being in a cave and how he rose from the dead.  I was so suprised and so proud that he has actually learned about the meaning of Easter!  He amazes me every day!

Austin had his last soccer game on Saturday morning.  He scored 5 goals in the last game and his team was down 4 players.  They played 7 games and Austin had a total of 13 goals for the season.  I think we have a soccer star in our home. 

When the soccer game ended we jumped in the car and headed to his first tball game.  He's on the Cubs. He's playing in a church league.  He was so excited to play and Francis has signed up to help coach. Of course at this age I think every parent is an assistant coach since it takes a parent per child to keep them on the field. 

Austin is loving playing sports and asked the other day how long he could play and I answered "as long as you want."

We've had a lot of changes to our house in the past month.  It first started with the outside being painted.  We went from a plain tan color with green shutters to a salmon colored top and tan bottom.  They alternated colors so other building were painted with a brown top and lighter brown on the bottom. 

Then we moved onto the kitchen remodeling which we thought was going to be a simple job just changing the countertops but has taken 2 very long weeks.  Francis said he was going to do the removal of the old countertops since he had never done anything like it before he was eager to get started.  So after I went and picked out our granite slabs they came to measure and make a template.  During that Austin and I painted the kitchen and we bought a new kitchen table and sold the old one.  Francis started the destruction of the kitchen by taking off the top counter that is our "catch all" spot.  That week was Austin's birthday and he was on vacation so he pulled another part of the counter off, he tried to take it all off but I begged him not too since we had to get ready for Austin's birthday party. 

They scheduled the instalation on Monday, so Sunday after the birthday party Francis and my dad removed the rest of the counters.  So Monday Austin was out of the house and we were ready to get the counters done, but the men arrived, early at that, and they brought in the granite layed it on the counters and they stopped.  There was a problem...and 1/2 inch between the counters and the granite, too much space and if they installed it would crack within a year. The cabinets weren't level.  So I gave the order to stop and was left to call someone to fix.  I had no idea where to start and all the men said were cabinet makers.  So I pulled up the computer and started searching, calling everyone, they kept sending me in different directions.  Finally a lady felt really bad for me after hours of calling and refered me to a man that use to work for there company.  I called he was able to come out that day, checked it out and could come back on Wednesday to fix it and for much less money than  anticipated.  I immediatley called the granite people to reschedule. 

So Friday they came to install the countertops again. No problems, it was done with in hours.  The plumber was scheduled for Saturday morning.  He arrived at 2:30 and said it would take an hour and a half.  3 hours later he was done and we had run into several problems, one of the strainer baskets was messed up when it was taken out of the old sink, the sink is custom so the holes did not line up with the old pipes and the biggest problem of all was that the granite people did not cut the hole big enough for our new faucet so it didn't sit right.  So we ended up having to buy a new faucet.  Thank goodness the other one could be returned. 
It's finally done and we love it!  We're just hoping the sink doesn't leak now!

After mom and dad stayed with us a few nights, they loaded everything up and went to camp at Ft. De Soto.   Austin was very excited to ride in Pop's truck, they left me home on Monday to have the countertops installed, which will be a whole other story.  He was so excited that after I got his car seat in the truck he got in and wouldn't get out.  Mom and dad were still loading everything us and putting the kayaks on top. 

I came out on Tuesday morning, once the clouds cleared it was beautiful.  We spent the morning at the beach and let Austin play on the playground for a little while. When it got to be about lunch we went in search of dad, since he had the food in his truck.  We found him fishing on East Beach and when we arrived he had 3 mullet in his bucket.  After lunch we played more at the beach and Austin went back and forth between the park and the beach.  Then an afternoon snack of Ice Cream and a Snow Cone.  We made our way back to the campsite and got cleaned up and then had dinner.  About the time the sun went down it was time for bed.

The next morning we got up and had breakfast and went out to the bayside peir. Dad threw his cast net a few times trying to catch some bait fish and only came up with 2 little ones.  Which was exciting for Austin.  Then we went to another spot for dad to try and catch some more bait and mom, Austin and I went on a kayak ride.  And then we were off to another spot to fish.  Austin was so excited to be fishing.  Pop had given him a new pole.  While they were fishing around the boat ramp we had a couple of birds that were stalking us!  They hung out so close and just watched and waited for a chance to steal a fish or some bait. 

After lunch we played at the beach some more.  Austin had a great time jumping the waves and digging in the sand.  After dinner it was time for us to go home, since mom and dad were leaving early the next morning.  Austin was exhausted and as we were getting in the car he bumped his head and started crying.  Although he was not hurt, but really just tired he couldn't stop crying. So we said our goodbyes and drove off and for about 5 -10 mins he would occassionally burst into tears about how sad he was.  It was so sad to look at him with those big tear-filled eyes.  But 10 minutes after we left he was sound asleep and never woke up as I carried him into the house! 

Saturday was Austin's Putt Putt Birthday party. It was a lot of fun.  It was extremly windy se we had to make sure that we bungeed the table clothes down and a couple of plates and cups got blown over, but if we didn't have the wind it would have been extremly hot. We had a great crowd with Megan, Betsy and Chris came over from Orlando.  And then we had our friends from Tampa.  The kids all played golf and then took a little time out to eat some chicken nuggets and pizza.  And then it was time for cake, although Austin only took time out for everyone to sing to him before going back to play golf again.  He was really excited to show off his motorcycle cake.  And for the 2nd year in a row he didn't get to blow out his candles. The wind was so strong we couldn't get them lit and so Francis held up the lighter for him to blow it out.

We weren't planning on opening presents and the party because we wanted everyone to be able to play as much golf as possible but Kathleen was so excited to give Austin his present that she just handed it to him to open, so the rest of the presents followed.

We went home and had Megan, Tony, Cayla, Betsy, Chris and Andrea came back to the house and Austin opened the rest of his presents. We spent the rest of the afternoon playing with his new toys and snacking on all the leftover food from the party!

It was a great day and Austin really enjoyed his party!  One of Austin's presents from Mama Jo and Pop was a web cam so if anyone has one and wants to chat let us know!

 

Wow, we are totally shocked that Austin is 4!  We had a fun day planned for him on Tuesday! Before school we took him to McD's, his favorite place to eat, and we had breakfast.  We dropped him off at school with cupcakes for the class!  When we came to pick him up the teacher said they were a big hit and they all sang to him.  But the day was only just getting started!

When we picked him up we told him we had a suprise for him. So we drove over to Orlando and went to the Fun Spot!  He saw the ferris wheel from in the distance and was just excited abou that but didn't know that that's where we were headed.  So when we arrived he was so eager to get out and go play! But we sat and had a piece of pizza and waited on Megan to join us!  We bought armbands and then got started.  They had 4 go cart tracks and then another one that he could drive all by himself.  They also had a Kiddie area with swings, frog hopper, tea cups and truck and train rides.  We spent some time in the arcade playing games too.  Daddy and Austin enjoyed the bumper cars and boats.  He was a little hesitant to get on the ferris wheel but we finally convinced him to get on and he loved it.  He sat real close to me at first and then the more we went around the more he enjoyed looking around, we could see wet n wild and univeral studios roller coasters.   So after riding everything twice we told him we had another suprise. 

So we loaded up in the car and went to Downtown Disney! We were going to have dinner at the T Rex Cafe!  It was amazing!  Of course Disney always does a great job with visual effects.  We had an extra dinner guest, a little triceretop was at our table.  We walked around enjoying all the dinosaurs.  After dinner they all came out to sing "Happy Birthday" to Austin with a smoking chocalate dessert!  It was HUGE!  Everyone got a slice of chocalate cake and 2 scoops of ice cream and don't forget the crushed butterfingers that were on top!  Then we went to enjoy the gift shop and let Austin dig for Fossils in the excavation site!

It was a long day but one of the best days ever!  Everyone was happy and enjoying the day!  This is only the beginning of his birthday!  Mama Jo and Pop are coming to town on Friday and Saturday is his soccer game and birthday party!  Then Mama Jo and Pop will be camping out at Ft de Soto so we'll get to spend some time out there!  And there will be a lot more pictures to come!   

Saturday we headed over to Plant City to catch the Strawberry Festival before it ended. At the Strawberry Festival you can find everything you've ever wanted made of strawberries, so you eat all day.  Along with the strawberries you get fair food and rides.

 It was a beautiful day, I think the high was at least 80 that day.  We arrived and entered the gate where the Kiddie Corral was.  Lucky for us, which means that was all Austin wanted to do.  I guess I was spoiled growing up having my grandfather on the Fair Association Board,because we got in free, rode rides for free and food for free and we never left without a prize from one of the games.  Because of all this I never realized how much it can cost to ride rides, so a very special thanks to Pop for all of our wonderful memoires at the fair.  Austin blew through ride tickets so fast but had a great time.  His favorite was the Super Slide.  I think everyone can remember that tall climb to the top carrying the potato sack (except now they have special  mats similar to the sacks, but they have handles on them).

After the rides we had some lunch and then Austin had to go and check out the huge John Deere tractors.  They had several rows of Strawberry plants growing along with the tractors. Austin had lots of questions about how the strawberrys grew, he had never thought about them changing from a flower to white strawberries and then turning red. 

Then we got to watch a BMX stunt show.  Which was very cool.  Austin and Francis loved watching the guys do tricks on a skateboard, rollerblades and bikes.  After the show Austin got to meet them and tell them how cool it was, although he was a little shy. 

After the stunt show we walked down to the livestock area and saw lots of "beef" as they but on the signs.  Lots of cows. 

And of course we couldn't leave without buying a half of flat of strawberries.  They were so yummy that a third of them were gone shortly after we got home.  And another thrid went into making some strawberry pie! And Austin has almost finished the rest of them.   

Francis got his way way last weekend and got Austin's hair cut!  Really Short!  We go back and forth all the time and this time he got his way.  I'm still adjusting to it. 

 

I'd love to hear what everyone thinks about it. 

A month and a half ago we signed Austin up to play soccer.  While we were looking for the field he would play on Francis saw a sign for a Men's League.  Of course it sparked a fire, so he signed up too!

Francis started playing on Feb 8th.  His team's uniforms didn't show up for the first game so they wore white shirts.  He's had 3 games and they won the first 2 big and tied the 3rd one.  He's loving it!  All he talks about now are his glory days and how good him and his boys use to be!  On the down side, there are new aches after every Sunday! 

Austin's first game was this past weekend.  We missed the first game since we were in Panama City, but he got in there and played like a champ!  He was so excited to be playing!  Francis has been practicing with him since we signed him up.  He was running after the ball and right in the mix of things!  He even SCORED a goal!  They don't keep score but it was 2-2.  He had such a great time playing when they ended the game Austin started crying!  He was so upset he couldn't even shake hands with the other team!

And I think Francis was really excited because they are both on royal blue teams and #2.  Their seasons last through April so there will be lots more pictures to come!

Today has been a roller coaster of emotions for our family.  We've had our highs today and our lows.

 

My Uncle Jimmy lost his battle with cancer early this morning.  For my friends, this is Luke and Iris Walker's father.  It has been a long year for the family dealing with his illness full of ups and downs. Uncle Jimmy was truely a wonderful man.  And everyone loved Uncle Jimmy!  I always felt like he was so protective over me!  He threatened to sit outside my house one night when two of my guy friends were coming to pick me up, I think there were talks of guns sitting beside him also to scare them off!  I had to assure him they were my friends and not a boyfriend that needed to be scared. And the question he always asked everytime I came home to visit, "Is Francis treating you good?"  "Yes, Uncle Jimmy," was always the answer. I knew if something wasn't good that Francis wouldn't be ok after that!

Words can't express how much he will be missed!  Please pray for Aunt Barbara, Luke and Iris!  I think we all get comfort knowing that he is in a better place now and with his mother.  I imagine the Grandmama and Uncle Jimmy sitting in heaven watching over all of us!

 

And then shortly after hearing the news of Uncle Jimmy, I was checking online to see what the weather was for the upcoming weekend so I could pack and saw pictures of the engagement ring Chad had bought for Mary Beth! But I noticed that it was on a girls finger.  I immediatly sent him an IM to ask if he had given her the ring.  I knew he had it but was wasn't planning on giving to her yet.  He replied that he gave it to her last night!  I guess he got a wild hair and couldn't wait any longer! 

 

Congratulations to the happy couple!  I'm finally getting a sister!  

 

 

Austin really enjoys music and dancing!  He has his favorite songs that he likes to listen too, which have to be loud in the car. He plays the guitar on his seatbelt and bounces his head up and down to the beat!

Some of you may have seen his dancing before, over the summer he was always wanting to breakdance.  He looked forward to all the weddings that we went to just for the dancing. He also likes to watch MTV's America's Best Dance Crew and tries to imitate the dancers! 

On Saturday at the Celebrity Flag Football game, LL Cool J perfromed and Austin loved it! We were down on the sand field where the game took place.  I took some video of the dancing. The audio is not very good, it was taken with my digital camera, but you don't really need the sound it's all about the moves!

As everyone knows now that the Steelers won the Super Bowl, but on Saturday we went with our friend, Sunny, over to St. Petersburg to go to the Celebrity Beach Bowl with LL Cool J preforming after the game.  It was a free event held at the Progress Engery Park, a baseball field where the Rays have Spring Training (I think).  

We stood in a long line waiting for the gates to open, luckily they moved fast.  We got seats in the front section at the endzone.  And as we sat down LL Cool J drove by on the golf cart, I didn't have my camera out yet.  Then we saw Benji and Joel Madden go by on a golf cart.  Then as Sunny and Francis went to go and get snacks I saw the one person that Sunny was so excited to see walk by, Eli Manning, he was the coach of the white team.  More celebrities went by including Brody Jenner, his friend Frankie and Doug (all off The Hills and other shows on MTV).  Francis was excited to see "Matt" off Friday Night Lights. Two of the brothers from Brothers and Sisters were walking by us.  The Kardashian Sisters and their mom were there, although the mom was the only one that walked by us.  We saw Guy, the chef come in during the middle of the game.

Before the game started they introduced all the players, it was a little hard to hear sometimes we we heard that 2 from Gossip Girl where there, a NASCAR Driver Kasey, Stacy Keibler and Maria Menenois (the Entertainment news girl, I know the last names not spelled right). And of course there were football players there!  Warren Sapp was a commentator, Eli Manning, Reggie Bush was the coach of the Blue Team and more that I didn't know!  I'm sure Sunny could help chime in to fill in some of those names. 

The Blue Team won the game.  It was of course entertaining but I think the best part of it was the a guy that jumped the fences to run onto the field and do sand angels in the middle of the field.  Security was a little slow to get to him but they tackled him and then the players tackled the security and as they were taking him off the field, one of the Madden Brothers was hanging onto the security guy.  The guy got the loudest cheers all day and everyone booed when they put him in handcuffs. 

LL Cool J was a lot of fun! He sounded great!  We got to go down on the sand to watch it. Austin enjoyed it.  He started dancing and it was hilarious.  I've got some great video of it, but for some reason it didn't upload to the computer when I did the rest of the pictures.  I'll work on that!    

Saturday we went up to Raymond James Stadium, the site of Super Bowl 43, to take part in the NFL Experience.  I think they called it the "NFL Theme Park".  They have all kinds of games to play, Hall of Fame Display, the Trophy and so many other things to do. 

We arrived when it opened at 10 a.m. and the games began.  Francis and Austin started throwing and kicking footballs.  Our friend, Sunny, was volunteering, he was guarding chairs for the cheerleading competion.  Hard job to sit and watch the Bucs cheerleaders while they judge the other cheerleaders.  So we stopped by to say "hello" after playing 3 or 4 games and then continued on with the other games.  They had several tents set up where the games were divided up by Receiving and Passing Games, Under Armor had activities like the Combine, State Farm had a Quarterback Mini Camp, Pepsi had games. 

Austin and Francis played all but 3 games.  It was tough to get him to take a break and get some lunch. We got to see the Trophy, which was beautiful.  Tiffany and Co makes the trophy and no one is allowed to carry it unless you have won the Super Bowl.  Austin didn't think it was too impressive, he was not interested in this part at all. 

Sunny joined us for a few games when he was done with his duty  Francis was very excited to run the 40 yd dash.  So off to the races they went.  Austin first raced with some other children, which allowed Sunny and Francis to race.  These boys aren't as young as they use to be.  Austin loved it so much  he wanted to do it again, so the 3 of them raced and Austin beat them. 

After the race Francis needed a break so we went over to the Kids Zone so Austin could play some more.  They were scaled down versions of the other games.  He threw some more, kicked more and ran more.  They had a sand area for the children to dig and a bounce house.  They even got to try on real pads and jerseys. 

So Francis was rested so we went on to the Quarterback Mini Camp. The boys did excellent and moved on the the next game.  While they waited in line at the Bridgestone tire throwing game I wondered through the Wilson Footbal Factory. They had people in there making footballs.  Could you imagine paying $160 for a ball.  

After Austin one the tire throwing game we went into the Measure Up area and the Locker Room.  We were all tiny compared to football players!  They had lockers set up for the players for what they would look like on game day, even down to the Head and Shoulders. 

The sun was starting to go down, so it was time for the last few games. More kicking and throwing.  We then strolled through the Hall of Fame!  The display of Super Bowl rings were blinding.  And at last the Super Bowl store! 

Finally the day was over!  It was 7 p.m. and we had done practically everything.  I think it was the best day of Austin's life!  Maybe Francis' too.  Austin always got the loudest cheers while he was playing the games.   

Today was Austin's first day of "school."  He started attending Tiny Tots.  It's a program offered by Hillsborough County Parks and Recreation at the Community Center.  It's for 3 - 5 year olds.  He gets dropped off 2 days a week for 2 hours. They activities that they do are to prepare them for school.  When we arrived they had puzzles set up on the table for the children to do while everyone arrives.  I said goodbye and I think he was happy to see me go.  I ran a couple of errands and cleaned a little of the house and went back to pick him up.  They were playing on the playground when I arrived.  He seemed happy playing on the slides with the other children. He said he had a good time and that it was fun. And when I asked for specifics he said they sang songs, colored and did puzzles.  He was proud to show of his smiley face stamp on his hand. 

The teacher handed me the paper that they colored, it was a worksheet, the instructions said to color all the flowers, that paper also had a stamp on it.  She said that he appeared that he had been there forever and just fit right in.  The other teacher said that he was a really good boy.  So we'll go again tomorrow.

I can't believe that Christmas has come and gone and today is the first day of 2009! We were so busy we didn't get to say Merry Christmas or Happy New Year to everyone!  So we hope that everyone had a great holiday and wish everyone the best for the New Year!

For Christmas we were home!  Austin was sick he was batteling an upper respr. infection, so we weren't sleeping well anyway and the excitment of Christmas kept him up from about 3:30 am until 5:30.  But we had a great morning watching him open gifts and play with all of his toys!  Then I started cooking, the Narido family was coming to eat with us!  We fried our first turkey!  It turned out excellent and the rest of the dinner was delicious!

After we cleaned up from dinner I continued packing to leave for Panama City the next day!  Friday morning Austin and I headed to PC stopping for lunch in Tally to visit Danielle, Todd, Chris and Melissa!  Melissa was very excited to show off the beautiful engagement ring she got for Christmas. 

We had a great time in Panama City, Chad came to town too on Friday!  We all got to open presents again!  And Saturday Chad and Matt went to ride motorcycles up at the track.  Austin went with Mamma Jo, Pop and Phil to watch!  He loved it!  I got to hang out with Anne, Amy, Kaydee and Aunt Libbie.  Saturday night the cousins came over to hang out!  We had a great time (as you can see from the pictures). 

The rest of the time in PC was spent playing on the golf cart and other toys!  We drove back to Tampa on Tuesday and spent all of New Years Eve straightening up the house!  It was such a mess since we ran off so fast, but now it's all packed up and time to get back to normal!

Austin decided last week that he was a big boy and was ready to take the training wheels off his bike! So we waited until the weekend when daddy was home and off they came!  Saturday the practice only lasted for a few minutes because the neighbors were out playing!  Austin and his friend, TJ really enjoy putting on a show for everyone!  Yes, they are singing and dancing on top of the green box!  It is hilarious to watch their performances.

On Sunday I went out to do some grocery shopping and one last thing for Christmas and Austin and Francis stayed home.  When I arrived home, Francis was so proud of Austin and how good he was doing on his bike!  So after the groceries were put away we went outside so I could see Austin ride his bike!  This is what I saw...

Last Saturday Austin had his last football game!  It was a fun 2 months and we all looked forward to Saturday mornings.  As the weeks went on I think Austin had more fun chasing the pack and the falling or sliding on his knees, but he always asking if he could have the ball next. 

After the game we went to the park for a team party. They got to play and eat hot dogs and cake. The most exciting part for the teammates was everyone got a trophy! 

 

Now we're looking forward to Christmas and a trip to Panama City!  And we'll be checking to see what sport is next! 

It's taken me some time to get the pictures up do to computer problems!  So now that my computer has been restored to factory settings we're in business again!  To tell you about our Disney Trip...It started early Saturday morning so we could get to Disney when it opened, on our way we saw several hot air ballons out!  They were all so pretty!

After we parked and Muriel got her ticket since it was her first time, we got on the Monorail, or Montery Jack as Austin called it (Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers reference) and made our way to the Magic Kingdom.  We arrived just before they opened the park so we were greeted by Mary Poppins!  As we walked into the Town Square we were hearded around to the back of Main Street, we were informed later that they were filming parts of the Disney Christmas Parade and they had the area blocked off, kinda takes away from the magic!  It's not so magical coming out of a staff entrance somewhere close to tomorrow land, we missed the walk down Main Street with Cinderella's Castle in the backdrop. 

So our day started a little differently than planned!  We first saw Donald and Pluto and Donald's Tree Farm!  And then on to ride Pooh, Dumbo and Small World.  We were meeting up with Sunny and Angela and the rest of their gang so we tried to make our way up to the front but lots of streets were blocked off for the Parade, so we made a big circle around the park!  The best part of Austin's day came from this circle, we ran into the Imagination Movers, his favorite show on Playhouse Disney (the guys in blue in the pictures).  We only got to meet Scott before they had to get back on the float, we tried to make it up to the front because they were going to perform but the Disney Cast members wouldn't let you stop to watch!  But we did see Regis and Kelly sitting in the middle of time square to announce the parade!  We finally met up with the rest of our gang and had lunch and then off to ride more rides and meet disney!  It was a long day!  After Austin rode Splash Mountain for the first time we decided it was time to go, but as we were passing Cinderella's Castle it was time for the lighting of the Christmas Lights!  So Austin and I stayed to watch and Muriel and Francis went to the car!  It was beautiful!  So off we went to our hotel for the night!

Sunday we went to Hollywood Studios!  We mainly spent our time meeting characters, Buzz and Woody, Lightning McQueen and Mater, Blue Power Ranger, Chip and Dale, Stich, Handy Manny and Leo and Annie from Little Einsteins.  At lunch time we went to Downtown Disney to eat and play at the Lego store!  It was tons of fun but exhausting!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!  We're sitting around looking at the ads for the sales tomorrow!  But wanted to share with everyone what Austin is Thankful for...we were playing with play doh yesterday and we were talking about what we were going to do today and explaining what Thanksgiving is.  I asked him what he was thankful for and he paused and looked at me and then said "Food!"  "That's good.  What else are you thankful for?"  And he just looked at me and then I said "what are you happy you have?" and he said "haircuts!"

 

I guess it's not something that we all think of every day but I sure am glad that we have them!

The Hurlburts!

I've added a few pictures from the month!  We went to Busch Gardens with Andrea.  We had a great time looking at all the animals.  And we had another tiger pounce at us (find him behind the rock in the picture of Austin).  It's actually been cold down here so we've been to see the manatees several times!  

And we've been playing football on Saturdays!  Austin is having a great time.  He's scored 3 touchdowns and still asking for the ball all the time.  It even rained on us on Saturday and Austin said he "loved the rain."  There are only 2 teams in Austin's age group so the pictures look like the same game. Austin is number 2.  Take the time to check out all the kids in the pictures because some of them are hilarious. The season is coming to an end!  There are 2 games left, although we'll be out of town for one of them. 

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Travel Safe and Eat Lots! We love you all and are sorry that we can't be with everyone. We are so thankful for all of you, our family and friends! 

Austin was so excited all week knowing that Mama Jo and Pop were coming to visit.  On Friday we kept telling him, they would get here while he was sleeping so he would see them Saturday morning.  Each time we talked about it he told me he was ready for bed, at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.  And then with all the anticipation of them being here he didn't sleep very well. So after a bad nights sleep, Pop went into to wake Austin up bright and early.  He was so excited to have them here.  We had a busy weekend planned. Austin had a football game Saturday morning!  He did so good!  He scored another touchdown!  Although he needed much encouragement from Mama Jo because he kept wanting to come over and sit with her. 

After the game, we went up to the mall to hang out and get some lunch.  I had been fighting off a migraine all morning.  Everyone spent the afternoon playing, while I went to lay down and try and get rid of the migraine, we had tickets for the US Women's Soccer Game that evening. 

But when the time came to get ready for the game I was feeling worse.  Mom, Dad, Muriel and Austin left me at home. Francis decided to stay home with me, he was supposed to go to a birthday party that night. What a great husband! I took a little nap and felt much better.  We called and called trying to get ahold of them at the game and when we finally did, Francis drove me to the stadium and then went to his party.  The game was exciting!  An amazing level of play!  It was chilly at the game!  Dad didn't bring his jacket so he tried to cover up with Austin's since he wasn't using it!  USA beat Korea 1-0. 

Sunday we got up and got ready and went to Ft. Desoto Park.  It was a beautiful day!  Dad fished and the rest of us played in the kayaks. Austin was so excited about fishing that he brought his pole with us. He really enjoyed playing with the minnows.  He dug a little pond for them to swim in.  After a few hours of playing we went to eat lunch.  Dad cooked some hamburgers while Austin played soccer and football and was played at the park.  After we ate the sun went behind a cloud and it got a little chilly.  Dad found some sticks to make the firein the grill a little bigger.  We were all so full and Dad was done fishing we walked down to the beach for a little bit.  We played in the sand and took some pictures (I was still fighting off the migraine so that's the reason for the hat and sunglasses).  Going back to the picnic table to gather all of our stuff we found Dad taking a nap on the picnic table.  So we packed up and headed back to the house. 

They'll be leaving in the morning to get back to Pamana City.  We had a really good weekend, although it would have been better without the migraine.  Austin loves spending time with Mama Jo and Pop!  I know after they leave tomorrow he'll start asking when we're going to go to their house or when are they coming back to our house!  

After many years New Kids on the Block reunited and recorded a new album.  Which was exciting enough for all the fans that still love them.  But then they announced a tour!  And as the first few shows went extremely well they added more shows! Tampa was on the list!  So as soon as we heard all the girls began to e-mail and call and plan our plan of attack. How could we not go see the first boys that we fell in love with in 5th grade! June finally came, the 9th the tickets went on sale so Austin and I raced up to the Box Office!  "7 tickets please!"  We were in!  And now the waiting game, 5 months to wait to see our 5 favorite guys!  It was a long wait, but as it got closer the excitment was more and more!  Finally the day arrived, I was sitting on pins and needles all day waiting for the girls to get into town!  I met them at the hotel while they got ready for the big show! 

We got into the St. Pete Times Forum and found our seats!  Since we weren't too interested in Lady GaGa we walked over to buy some things! We couldn't leave without t-shirts, bags and programs!  While the others refilled their beers and get some food, Nikki and I went back to our seats to watch Natasha Beddingfield.  We watched the young girls in front of us get up and dance and sing, we remembered that's how we were 19 years ago. 

It was finally here, with one last race to the bathroom we returned right as the New Kids were being lifted onto the stage!  We all lost control!  It was just like being 10 all over again!  They mixed the new songs with the old!  We heard Favorite Girl, I'll be loving you Forever, Cover girl, Step by Step, Right Stuff, Tonight and of course the finale was Hanging Tough!  Joey and Jordan were each able to sing their hits that they had as solo artist.  It was over 2 hours of singing and dancing. We may have only sat down for a few minutes throughout the concert! And those young girls that were in front of us dancing while Natasha were on, sat still during the NKTOB concert.  

We left more excited than before!  We all fell in love all over again!  Our first loves are still just as great as they were all those years ago!

 

 

Austin has been looking forward to halloween since August.  So he was super excited when it finally got here. After looking at lots of pictures trying to decide what he wanted to be we decided on a motorcycle rider.  Lucky for us, our neighbor's children ride motorcycles so she had all the gear, shirt, pants, boots and gloves and let us borrow it. 

We went to Guavaween, a festival in Ybor City, on the 25th.  Austin got all dressed up and we walked along the street playing games, making crafts and of course trick or treating.   It was fun but it was also very hot!

After a very long week of waiting for more trick or treating and Halloween finally arrived!  Francis took the day off so we did a little shopping for Austin.  After the cold front that came through this week we learned that all of Austin's warm clothes were too small.  So we went off to find long pants and long sleeved shirts for him.  When we got home we we carved the pumpkin.  After the top was off and it was time to clean it out Austin backed out and didn't want to get dirty pulling the seeds out. 

That evening we went over to our friend Andrea's house to go trick or treating.  As excited as he was to go trick or treating he was very shy at first.  But after a while he started to get the hang of it.  Since he was a motorcycle rider we stopped at the bikes we saw along the road to take pictures with them (that explans bat girl in the one picture).  We met up with his friend Kathleen and they had so much fun!  They walked down the street holding hands and when we stopped to take a break they shared a popcorn ball.  We walked around for 2 and a half hours.  Austin's pumpkin was full!  We all had fun and when we got in the car to come home he was asleep within 2 minutes. 

This morning was hilarious!  There were 13 kids on the team, one is Austin's best friend Ella and her father, Jerry, is the coach.  They did a 20 minute practice in the beginning, mainly just trying to teach everyone how to pull flags and who to chase.  Then they played 4 quarters that were about 8 minutes each.  It was so funny watching them all run in circles.  The coaches were on the field to help direct them and put them in place.  A couple of times the kids got tackled. There was a herd of kids following behind the kid with the ball! 

Austin got really upset one time and walked off crying because he hadn't gotten a turn to carry the ball.  We're working on teamwork and waiting your turn.  But when Austin finally got the ball, he SCORED!!!!  TOUCHDOWN!!!!!  He was so excited!

Ella was one of two girls on the team.  She was often distracted making sure Austin was following the rules!  They act like an old married couple sometimes! 

Coach Jerry said at the end of the game the good thing about Austin is that he wants the ball and he wants it NOW!  There's no telling how many times he actually asked for the ball during the course of the game! 

Scores weren't kept, but of course, we won!  Next week they're going to enforce some rules!  All the children must wear mouth guards and we'll be getting team shirts!

I woke up this morning at 3:45 with a migraine!  Nice, I know!  And couldn't go back to sleep, for whatever reason, Austin waking up and then Francis getting up, so I was very tired this morning.  Austin and I got dressed to go run a couple of errands and as we were going to get in the car I heard a kitty meowing.  I thought it was across the street in the woods or just over the small hill.  We left and went about 20 minutes away to a shopping center and came home with groceries an hour and a half later!  When we got out of the car, the kitty was still meowing - even louder now.  I stopped to listen and Muriel came out to help bring in all the food and she started listening she said the sound was coming from my CAR!!!!

So I popped the hood and we started looking, got the flashlight, trying to find the sound of the meow!  Austin was all excited to get the kitty out!  We finally saw it underneath the engine and on top of the pan.  The tiny kitty was about to move around under there! We stopped a neighbor and asked to help, turned the car on and off in hope to scare him out!  Nothing!  Then we got a squirt bottle to scare it out!  We had milk sitting out to help lure him out.  Finally after about an hour and the kitty was still in there, we called Animal Services, they told us that they would go inside the car to get it out and we needed to call AAA or something to help! 

The only thing we knew to do was drive down the road to Goodyear so they could put it up on the lift and take the pan off the bottom of the car! So we jumped in the car and drove about a mile down the road to Goodyear. I've never been so nervous driving before. I went inside and when asked if they could help us i said "Do you do animal rescue?"  Everyone looked shocked, all the costumers in the waiting area and employees were interested when I said that I had a cat stuck in the car.  They went outside to long, along with another costumer, and after looking around thought there was nothing there.  

Austin and I had to leave and walk across the street because he had a dentist appt in a few minutes! We left Muriel at Goodyear to come pick us up after they checked things out.

So...after 20 minutes Muriel comes to the dentist office and says they checked it out and the kitty was gone! Thank goodness!  It finally got out! What a day, it was so stressful, we were so concerned with the kitty being safe! Now we're exhausted!  But it seemed like an interesting story to tell.  

Austin had such a great time at Kathleen's birthday party this weekend.  Kathleen is the little girl that I use to babysit, she's getting so big!  Although she's still so much smaller than Austin.  The party was held at the Red Barn Petting Farm.  We ate pizza and the kids got to play on all the toys.  After we ate the children and a few adults took a hay ride out into the cow pasture!  They fed the cows tortillas.  It was funny watching the HUGE cows come to the kids with their long tongues.  After the hay ride they went into the petting area!  They got to feed and pet goats, llamas, chickens, turkeys, peacocks and donkeys.  They even got to sit on a llama!  I think Austin had the most fun feeding the chickens.  It reminded him of feeding chickens at Pop's, so he was experienced!  We finally ended the party with cake and more playing! 

We had such a good time!  And Austin always gets excited when he gets to spend time with Kathleen!

We got a call yesterday from the YMCA saying that the T-ball team did not have enough children sign up at the site closest to our home.  But they offered Austin to be able to transfer to a different site and play Flag Football!  So when games begin we'll play football in the morning and watch football on TV for the rest of the afternoon!  Fall...our house revolves around football!

In the coming month look for pictures of his first flag football game! 

We signed Austin up for T-Ball today!  He's in the Under 5 group!  Games will begin in mid-October!  So of course after we signed up we ended up at WalMart buying a new bat and ball!  Which meant we ended up at a baseball field to practice. Francis promises that every Saturday he and Austin will go to the field and practice until the games start!  At this age they don't practice they just play games.

We are so excited and can't wait to see all the 3 and 4 year olds play!  We just smile thinking of the images of boys and girls running the bases the wrong way and chasing the baseball even after they hit it.

Yes, it was another trip to Panama City! But it was a very special weekend!   Betsy, one of my best friends, got married!  Betsy and Chris were married out at the Majestic Beach Resort on the beach!  The week before it looked the the hurricane was going to postpone it, but as the week went on the weather just got better and better!  It was a beautiful day!  I was a bridesmaid and Austin was one of the ring bearers along with Chris' nephews! Austin did great, he made it down the aisle! 

The ceremony was beautiful and lots of tears flowed, although I think most people were trying to blame them on the wind!  The reception was a blast!  There was good friends and lots of dancing and singing!  Austin was tired at the reception and didn't do any dancing!  And now the bride and groom are off to Jamaica!

We are trying to get in as much pool time before the water gets to cold!  Ella came over this week to go swimming and they had so much fun!  We also spent about 3 hours in the pool on Saturday afternoon!   Austin was chasing after the big kids and swam the entire length of the pool all by himself!  We came home and he ate dinner and laid on his couch, he was alseep by 7 p.m.  And slept until 7 a.m.  He was exhausted

We also took him up to the new soccer complex to kick the ball around!  He got lessons from Daddy!  He's ready to sign up for a team!  They were having sign ups that day and we learned that next fall he'll be old enough to play! 

 

Olympic Swimmer or Soccer Star?  Which will he be?  Or maybe he'll just be an all around athlete!

We started the weekend by going to Clearwater Beach for Jessica Narido's 6th birthday!  Austin had lots of fun playing with the girls and trying to pickup their dance moves!  He's practicing for Betsy's upcoming wedding!  Melissa and Chris arrived for the weekend just as the storm rolled in! 

Sunday we went over to St. Pete to watch the Rays take on the Orioles!  We had plenty of time before the game so we strolled down to the pier.  The Bay was so rough from Gustav and the wind nearly knocked us over on the 5th floor.   The Rays won!  Everyone had a great time at the game!  

Monday after Chris and Melissa left we began a mission to get Austin's haircut!  Francis was hurt by all the people that asked if he was a girl!  "He's just so pretty" they would all say!  So after about 3 stores being closed for the holiday we finally found one that was open!  Austin was wonderful for the first time!  He sat all by himself in the chair and didn't hesitate to get into it!
