My final thought in all of this can be summed up in Ephesians 3:20.

 

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, ²¹to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."  (Ephesians 3:20)

 

The Lord put this on my heart to share.  I hope this encourages you as it does me.  And just to bring this full circle, Elise didn't know what our plans were today.  If she only knew that when her Dad got home I had planned on us having a picnic lunch together in the backyard AND tonight her friends are coming over for a bbq.  :)

Here is my list of my top 15 things to do before I turn 30...a little over one year away!  Here goes...

 

1.  Finish scrapbooking Malorie's first year album...okay I guess I should start that before I can finish it

2.  Take a family vacation to anywhere, just the four of us (going to CA doesn't count)

3.  Get my real estate license

4.  Plant a new tree, flowers and plants in our backyard

5.  Have all my younger sisters over for a sleepover

6.  Spend the weekend away with just Rey...somewhere romantic

7.  Go apple picking

8.  Lead someone/anyone to Christ

9.  Organize our garage...what a never ending project that is

10.  After I get my real estate license...sell or help someone buy a house

11.  Buy a new car...okay well a used car, but it will be new to me

12.  Visit the Grand Canyon with Rey and our girls

13.  Scrapbook all my pictures so I can be current...wish me luck

14.  Make a new friend

15.  Reconnect with an old friend 

Right now God has us in a season of waiting.  In this season we are growing more and more every day.  We are being refined and purified and our perspective is changing.  To God be all the glory!

One night I had a wondrous dream,
One set of footprints there was seen,
The footprints of my precious Lord,
But mine were not along the shore.
But then some strange prints appeared,
And I asked the Lord, "What have we here?"
Those prints are large and round and neat,
"But Lord, they are too big for feet."
"My child," He said in somber tones,
"For miles I carried you along.
I challenged you to walk in faith,
But you refused and made me wait."
"You disobeyed, you would not grow,
The walk of faith, you would not know,
So I got tired, I got fed up,
And there I dropped you on your butt."
"Because in life, there comes a time,
When one must fight, and one must climb,
When one must rise and take a stand,
Or leave their butt prints in the sand."

This week we had two major events take place in the Igliane Family household.  First, Malorie started eating rice cereal.  She didn't seem to like it too much in the beginning, but I think tonight was the first time she actually ate it all and seemed to enjoy it.  And the other big event was Elise had her first day at preschool.  She was so excited to go with her new big girl backpack she picked out.  When I picked her up she had to tell me what they did and who her new friends are.  I am so proud of her.  She is such a well adjusted, independent and happy little girl.  I am honored to be the mother to Malorie and Elise.

Yesterday was Elise's 3rd birthday.  I can't believe she is 3 already.  The time has flown by and I'm amazed at what a smart, inquisitive, caring, sensitive, funny little girl she has become.  She loves going to her dance classes and then coming home and showing me what she has learned.  She loves drinking apple juice and anyone who knows her knows that she can down the entire juice box without even stopping to take a breath.  She is a wonderful big sister too.  She loves Malorie and that is why whenever she can, she gives her a kiss or a quick squeeze on the leg.  I am so excited to watch Elise grow and at the same time, I want time to stand still so I can cherise each and every moment with her.  Happy Birthday Sweet Elise!

Dearest Father God - I don't have the words right now, but my heart is happy.  I'm listening to some good Christian music, Elise is napping and Malorie is playing on the floor.  I'm so thankful to be in this moment.  We have our house, we have our family, we have our health, we have opportunity, we have friends.  I know that soon we will be in a different season of life and even though this time has its challenges I am still so thankful to be right in this moment.  Lord - you have changed my perspective so much and I'm so thankful.  And I see a change in Rey.  he is happy.  He is seeking you God, and I am praising you for that.  What a beautiful thing.
