We were on a car drive after we had seen the IMAX movie about the Hubble Space Telescope. Not surprisingly we were singing to pass the time. Also not surprisingly, our minds were filled with thoughts of outer space. We tried to adapt "There's a Hole in the Bottom of the Sea". Of course the last line of the song "There's a Hole in the Bottom of the Sea" is "there's a hole in the bottom of the sea", which is 10 syllables. Unfortunetly, "up in space" is only 3 syllables. Mom, (Mrs. Denise), said that would be fine as long as we accent every syllable, then it would be musical.
We took turns saying "UP IN SPACE". We would alternate saying the words. So Olivia would say, "Up," Dylan would say, "in", and Ethan would say, "SPAAACE." We sang this song for a long time. Sammy learned it too, so we also sang it on the following days with her. Since Ethan put everything he had into saying "SPAAACE!!!" he lost his voice very quickly.
