Disney Epcot 2011

Latest news

Oh Mickey, your so fine!

We just returned from our family vacation. This year we did it big and went to Orlando, Florida to visit Mickey Mouse. And that lil mouse did not dissapoint. A week in Florida was hot, humid, exciting, and exhausting. The kids had a blast running around each park gathering autographs of their favorite Disney character. For them, that was the highlight of the day. For Lisa and I, the opportunity to be there as a family was a dream come true. Her parents and her sister were able to join us with their own families so the cousins had a week long slumber party. So much fun! We shut down the park a couple of times and got home after midnight to begin the afterparty. Disney parks kept us so busy and everyday we struggled to get it all done. The parades, the characters, the food, the rides, the shows- they were ALL top notch. It was amazing and definitely worth going to again!!!

Our summer vacation is wrapping up quickly so we are enjoying every minute of it. Every day is a joy to spend at home with each other. There is no schedule. No agenda. Just family. We are blessed beyond words to have this time together and look forward to many more opportunities for pics and memories.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder :)

As many of you might have already noticed, this is the first update to our family website since mid summer 2010. Since then, school has started back up again, the holidays came and went, and I have graduated from LCU with my masters degree. In the hustle and bustle of things, I suppose I've neglected my duties and the family site webmaster. But...absence makes the heart grow fonder, and so I hope that you missed us as we have missed many of you both near and far.

Gavin has turned into quite a little character.....and I mean every character! Right now his favorite past time is to rummage through his closet and drawers to recreate every single TV, movie, or cartoon character he can find. This kid is managing at least a dozen costume changes per day. A button up shirt is now his "Jonas" shirt. His suit vest is his "dancing costume". His hooded bath robe has become his "Victor" costume (Fantastic 4) and his winter gloves shoot webs like Spider man. He's been Iron Man, Woody, Buzz, Nick Jonas, The Silver Surfer, and Michael Jackson all in one day. I had to finally draw the line when he went huntng for a saddle bag " like Flynn Rider" (Tangled) and ended up with a blue sequined purse strapped around his shoulder. Does anybody know where I can get a cheap leather saddle bag?

Gisela is quickly growing into daddy's little girl and mommy's little princes. The hair has to be done, the shoes must be picked out by herself, she usually requests a bow before leaving the house, and after every picture we take she demands to see herself to approve of it. Diva or lil priiness....it's certainly high maintance behavior. After being swallowed in a sea of christmas wrapping paper and showered with gifts, she decided that her favorite gift of the night was a pair of eaings that she couldn't wait to put on. DID I MENTION THAT SHE'S TWO!! But she is certainly still the little sister. She follows her "brudder" all around the house and attempts to do everything he does (including peeing standing up.....that didn't end well).

Lisa and I continue to be blessed by our children and their laughter. They provide such joy and many many many opportunities for personal gowth (enough said). Not a day goes by that I don't pause in amazement and thank God for my wife and children. Each picture on this site represents a moment of blessing and there are so much more unseen. We are truly blessed to have such a rich life. Love, faith, joy and family. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Dear friends, I want to thank you for being a part of the tapestry God have woven into our life. We could not begin to express the gratitude we have for each of you. Your love and support are cherished and we praise God for you also. Thank you taking time to share in our life, even if it is through a lil website full of pictures :)

Fourth of July at Sea World

After spending the entire month of June in summer school, Lisa was finally free to take a road trip. Woohoo! It was nice having the kids at "daddy daycare" but I was counting the days until we got Lisa to ourselves. As soon as she was able, we took a trip to see my family in San Antonio and spent the Fourth of July at Sea World. Shamu and friends put on a great show but I think I was most impressed with my parents who were troopers in the heat and humidity. After a solid week of rain, the sun had decided to break out.  We were able to spend the entire day with the kids and we had such a good time. Gavin took his first ride on a roller coaster (kiddie size) and GiGi couldn't get enough of swimming. Of course the highlight for them was petting and feeding the dolphins. Sea World rocked!

A YEAR....REALLY!!!

It can't be true! Has it really been that long since I last updated this blog? I apologize. Sad but true. Keeping up with this blog site has NOT been on my priority list but thanks to Dr. Mahan, I am finally updating it (shout out to LCU professor).

Since the beginning of the school year, I have enrolled in Grad school myself and have been super busy trying to graduate within 18 months. YIKES!!! So far, I have been able to complete every course through online correspondence and have been able to hold a 4.0. This is NO SMALL TASK and I am exhausted. It has been a year of long nights and working weekends. However, with summer break just around the corner I am really looking forward to spending more time at home with Lisa and the kids. I promise, I will get more pics up just as soon as I can. Meanwhile....only 17 more days of fifth graders!!!!

Fortunately/ Unfortunately

Fortunately: SCHOOL IS OUT!!!!
Unfortunately: Summer school started immediately following the last bell. And while during the school year our entire house is up and dressed before 7am, when I teach summer school, I have to leave a beautiful family in a comfortable bed asleep while I creep out. AUGH! Thank God for coffee :-)

Fortunately: I taught summer school and made some extra cash. And after a few years of teaching 5th grade, it was refreshing to have a classroom of 3rd graders. What a world of difference!
Unfortunately: I'M STILL WAITING TO SEE THE MONEY.  (if anyone sees a rogue summer school check, please send it home immediately)

Fortunately: Gavin celebrated his 3rd birthday and is growing into a wonderful young boy, with an awesome personality and a beautiful spirit
Unfortunately: Gavin is growing up way to fast and there's not enough camera in the world to catch ALL the moments that we enjoy with him.

Fortunately: Gisela is crawling all over the place and trying to walk already. She is a quick learner and watches her big brother intently. She shadows him whenever possible so Gavin has begun to close his door and lock her out on occasion. Can we say 3 going  on 13?
Unfortunately: This development only serves to remind me that there is no such thing as "CHILD PROOF", siblings are complex, and being a big brother is going to take some coaching.

Fortunately: We were able to make a trip to San Antonio to see my family and Gavin had a blast with all his cousins. Gisela was a hit and as cute as they come.
Unfortunately: Gavin insisted on a getting a green guitar at the market....so we lured him away with an accordion (bad idea). So let's review.... Gavin now plays the guitar, drums, keyboard, AND accordion. Tejano or die!

Fortunately: Lisa and I have begun to work out again and decided to train for a half marathon
Unfortunately:
Lisa and I have begun to work out again and decided to train for a half marathon......WHAT HAVE WE DONE?

Well, that's our summer thus far. And I'll try to keep you posted. But seriously, if anyone sees my summer school check out there, just stick it in the mail. Being broke could result in no internet access......and then how would you get to see my beautiful family pictures?

Easter and such

Oh life. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

One. For the one and only time that I will host three twelve year old boys from Ugande for an entire weekend. "So, what would you guys like to eat?"....CHINESE BUFFET! $$$$$$$$$ yikes :-( Hows bout some spaghetti? CHA CHING!

Two. For Gisela's double ear infection that robbed my wife and I of sleep for about a month straight. I still haven't recovered.  YAAAAWN!

Three. There are three belt holes that have moved further and further out from my pant's button.  Now there are three reasons that I need to start working out again. AUGH!

Four. I really have the cutest little family of four. But, two of us are in daycare and are costing the other two of us a small fortune. SO....I have a plan. Two of us need to get a part time baby/toddler modeling job to supplement some income. Then the four of us will be set (and can finally afford to buy a Wii.......what?....its educational ;-) Any managers out there? ANYONE?

Five. Because Lisa and I are five years into our marriage. Yipee!  We're making plans to celebrate our fifth year this June. I am truly blessed.

Growing Growing Gone

These kids are my joy. Lisa is my heart. I love my life.

Gisela is growing big and strong. She finally got a spot at daycare. She goes full time with Gavin and he is excited to have her there with him (of course in a different classroom). Her teachers were Gavin's teachers when he was in the newborn room and they can't stop commenting on how much she looks like Gavin. We agree. She's teething lately so there's a lot of drooling, teething tablets, and crying. Everything is going to her mouth....but mostly she likes to chew her toes ;-) She loves Gavin and is mesmerized by everything he does. She loves to watch him play his drums and sing his songs. She loves to watch him. He loves to perform for her "Watch me sister"- is his new command.

And Gavin?.....drum roll please........Gavin is POTTY TRAINED!!!!! Ta da!!! If you have a toddler (or are in the habit of spending $20 a week for pull ups just for fun), you can appreciate the financial relief. If you are toting wipees and diapers or if you choose a restaurant on the availability of a changing table- then you can appreciate this victory. We are so proud of him. He is really doing well. However, it is one more step toward growing up and it is bittersweet. I will say, I'm not to thrilled about how willing he is to take himself to the bathroom no matter where we are. We lost him for a few minutes yesterday at church and while Lisa was in tears, someone found him in the women's bathroom going poop. Independent.....and regular. He is growing more everyday.

Lisa and I had a really good Valentines weekend. We attended the church banquet on Friday and then went out on our own Saturday. It was a whole lot of fun to get dressed up and spend some money (that we'll pay back later ;-). She is the hottest chick I know and I was thrilled to have her on my arm. She's my best friend and my hero. I love her more every day and she never ceases to amaze me. Just when I think I have her figured out, she zags. I am lucky to have her. Lisa- Be Mine, now and forever.

Manic Monday....and more

Over the Christmas break, Lisa and I really got spoiled. We enjoyed every minute with these kids and savored the days that we could just stay home (mama in her kerchief and me in my cap, we settled in for a long winter's nap). However, I might have enjoyed my break so much, I forgot how to go back to work.

Its been so difficult, that on Monday...I forgot the diaper bag, my lunch and my cell phone at home. I slid off the icy road 3 times and was 20 minutes late to work (all before 8:00 am)......if you're waiting for the punchline....its no joke :-(

Seriously, can you believe that was the start of my week. The welcoming in of 2009! And, if that's not all, I forgot the diaper bag again on Thursday!!! I am so lucky that Lisa loves me. She ended up delivering the bag to the sitters both days and was late to work herself as a result. She is my hero :-)

Well, it hasn't been all bad. Gavin and Gisela are surprising us everyday. Gisela is beginning to roll over and has discovered how to eat her toes. While this may be unsanitary....its stinkin cute (no pun inteded ;-) Much to our disappointment, Gisela has decided that she is not a nursing baby and has preferred formula for the last month or so. So I guess, Lisa is retiring as mama milk, and our grocery bill just jumped about $100  a month. People continue to comment on how big she is (14 lbs) and now we're beginning to wonder if NutriSystem makes formula (anyone know?). She is growing everyday and looks more and more like.....mama? daddy? We still can't decide. We're taking votes.

Gavin has turned out to be quite the little musician. Most of you know that he loves his drum set, and that he has had a guitar for quite some time. Well, he has now received a small electronic keyboard and plays them all everyday. In addition, his uncle Rick gave him an electric guitar and a working mic on a stand. So now he's a regular showboat. And if that's not enough, he has discoverd my collection of Rogers and Hamerstein musicals (a DVD collection that only my wife would think to give me....thank you Lisa xoxox). The other day I walked in to the room and found him watching "Sound of Music", acoustic guitar in hand, sitting on his stool, and singing along with Julie Andrews "sew...a needle pulling thread...la...a note to follow sew" I swear he thought he was on the hillside with her. HILARIOUS! Lisa said to me, "So I guess sports are out". To wrap it all up, He inisted on taking "Oklahoma" with him to daycare this week so he could share it with class. That afternoon we received a note from his teacher, "We were unable to watch Gavin's movie today, the other children don't seem to appreciate musicals as much". Big suprise.

Thats the latest. Never a dull moment.

Happy Happy Holidays!

Its been a wonderful holiday season. Gavin and Gisela had a great Christmas and Lisa and I have enjoyed staying at home with the kids. We have been really trying to make the most out of the holidays now that Gavin is a old enough to participate in some activities. Lisa sent a package of "craft kit- elf hats" for his class to make and take during their Christmas party. Then he performed in his pre-school Christmas pageant (he knew every move :-). Then he baked cookies with grandma and mommy and never grew tired of it. Lisa purchased tickets for us on the Polar Express (a train ride based on the book) and we really enjoyed it. I hope that we can make it a Christmas tradition. They got to see Santa Claus and take pictures with him. Gisela was very brave and let Santa hold her (Gavin was glad to let his sister go first). A few days later he decided he wanted to see Santa again....so we took him to the mall. I prepped him for the big question "What do you want for Christmas?" and he recited it perfectly....."I want an Elmo, a Handy Manny, a new CD player....and ....a pumpkin" Gavin-why did you ask Santa for a Pumpkin? He just shrugged and said "I doe no". Classic. Gisela and Gavin both stayed up during the Christmas Eve celebration at Grandma's house and Gavin was really enjoying the whole idea of presents for everyone. He would clap and shout for everyone when they opened a present. It was great ;-) When we came home we left cookies (made at Grandma's) and milk for Santa. Then we went to bed. In the morning Gavin wandered over to the empty plate and held up the empty cup. With eyes of wonder and jaw dropped, he turned and said "Santa ate it"......I was so proud of him. Its only going to get better :-)

Merry Christmas everyone. Enjoy your family.

No Junk Food Gavin

We received a note from Gavin's daycare last week. It stated that Gavin had been taking food from his friends during lunch and he might have to start eating in a high chair instead of the lunch table. We talked to him and then talked to the teachers. It turn out...he's not stealing...he's "sharing". He talks his little friends into sharing with him with a question,"You share with Gavin? One for you...one for me?" Before they know what hit them, he's eaten all their food. We asked what types of food he is scamming (thinking we might add them to his lunch box) but we found out he wanted cheetos, fruit roll ups and candy. So...today he ate in a high chair.

Guess Who's Back....

Back again. Guess who's back. Guess who's back. Guess who's back.....(that's my shout out to pop culture- sorry I can't sing it for you...its much funnier when I bob my head and throw my hands in the air like I just don't care.

Anyhow, I'm back at work and I gotta admit....I'm not thrilled. Sure I missed my co-workers and I kinda missed my students...but I sure didn't miss the work (and the morning rush). Getting out of the house before 7:00 am with two kids fully dry, dressed, fed and packed is definitely a challenge. I haven't even attempted to iron a shirt for work (that would add another ten minutes that I don't have). Since Gisella was born- one of us has been home to help the other get out the door on time. Now, we're all in the same boat. Get up and get out on time.

We had a great Thanksgiving holiday and we're looking forward to a wonderful Christmas holiday. Gavin enjoyed his time in San Antonio with his cousins and was busy from morning to midnight. He had five kids to play with and never had a dull moment. We were able to wrestle him down for a nap at least a couple of days. Gisella was really good and was adored by everyone. She was a big hit and is growing so fast- already three months old. Since my family will be coming to Lubbock for Christmas, Gavin is really excited to get the party started all over again. The house is decorated for Christmas and as soon as the weather allows, I'll put the lights up on the house and we can't wait for the family's arrival. I'll keep you posted.

Break it down

6:35 AM- Lisa wakes me up to tell me that Cooper got sick and there's a mess in the kitchen. HE EXPLODED ALL OVER THE FLOOR....TWICE! I spent the next 30 minutes cleaning poop.

8:40 AM- Gisela cries because she needs a diaper change. SHE EXPLODED IN HER PAMPER. Poop on her clothes, her back, her blanket...etc. I spent the next 15 minutes cleaning and changing her.

My morning is off and running Crying

Breakfast for Gavin....check
Breakfast for me....check
Bottle for Gisela.....check
Watch Disney Channel....DoodleBops....(i hate them)

Bathe Gavin....

2:00 PM- Put Gavin down for a nap...finally
Check my email, do the budget, play with Gisela...
3:15 PM- welcome Gavin back!

Check Gavin's temperature...102! OhGive him Tylenol and feed him ice chips.
Pray for Lisa's quick return.
4:00 PM- Surprised Welcome Lisa home!!!

Lisa is my hero. She always makes my day better. When she returns home everyone is better. Gisela is smiling, Gavin is giddy, Daddy is relieved and finally jumps in the shower.
She came home and made chicken enchiladas (from scratch) and spanish rice. Yummy!

7:00 PM- Gavin and I crashed out together for the night.
10:45 PM- Woke up to Gisela crying. Got up to help Lisa and watch some TV
11:45 PM.....Lisa hears noises coming from the hallway. Found Gavin out of bed and curled up in the corner of the hallway. Time for more medicine and ice chips.

Parents do this all day everyday. Its a labor of love and we'll do it over and over again. We love it.

Birth mark and more

She has a birth mark- a small pinsize dot on her right forearm. Tiny, but full of character. I love it. And until I took these last few weeks off, I never noticed. She has grown so much during this time and we have grown together. She recognizes my voice and I can identify her different cries. Especially her cry for pain.....

For an entire week, she cried almost non-stop and we knew she was in trouble. After a little trial and error ( and a bit of internet research) we decided she was lactose intolerant so we switched to Soy formula. Hallelujah!!! We have a winner! Apperantly- the traditional formula was producing a lot of gas and was extremely painful for her. Since Lisa breastfed Gisela during her time at home- this problem didn't present itself until my time to take care of her. Lisa would ask me..."What did you do? She never cried like that with me." OUCH! I couldn't figure it out and felt so helpless. Thank goodness we found a solution, I'm just sorry it took us so long. My appologies to my daughter.

All is well now-She is happy, smiling, talking and so alert. I will treasure this time forever.

G is for Glo Stick!

I put Gavin to bed- and then he called me back in..."I gotta potty.Whistling So we went to the potty.

I put Gavin back to bed- and he calls me in..." I want water". WhistlingSo we got some water.

I put Gavin to bed. Finally peace. I decide to make a sandwich and pour a diet coke. Suddenly, he's screaming! AUGH!Oh Crying. I hear the tears. I run. Is he in pain? Is he ok? I'm running. I throw the door open and find a freakin blacklight mess! He's screaming in the dark with tears running down his glowing face. The place is lit like laser tag. Glo stick juice was EVERYWHERE!Mistaken

Apparently, he had gone to sleep with a glo stick (left over from halloween). He must have bit into it and decided to throw it overboard. The sheer motion of swinging it off the bed caused it to splatter on the wall, over, under, and on the bed. It was splattered on the carpet, his clothes, his hair and his face. It was everywhere! Lisa is worried about poisoning and I'm worried about the resale value of our house! She grabs Gavin to strip his clothes off and hose him down. I began to save the carpet and the furniture that I paid way to much for. (FYI: I googled it and glo stick juice is only poisous in large quantities) Laughing

Since we stripped his bed down to nothing. He climbed into ours for the night. Wait a minute.....HE TRICKED ME!
Yes

A day for the kids.

Today, Gisela had her 2 month checkup. The Dr. visit went great. She's growing so fast and is healthy. She's now 11 lbs and 3 oz. Gisela also had to get her immunization shots....ouch! I was so proud of her though. She was strong and cried only for a few seconds. I gave her some Tylenol and a bottle when we got home. I think she'll be happy for a while. To bad I left my coffee mug, her shot records, and her growth sticker at the receptionist's desk. Guess I'll be going back sooner than I thought.

Also, Gavin's school had a teacher appreciation luncheon today. Lisa made enchiladas and made a special mini-dish for me (yum :-). I volunteered to set up and serve. This gave me a chance to talk to Gavin's teacher's and peek in on him during class. It seems that he has so many good people around him and it is evident that everyone enjoys him. So taking them lunch is the least we could do. We appreciate them more everyday (especially since I can barely make it with one baby to care for ;-)

Parent's realize that daycare is such an emotional decision. Your very young child is placed in the care of strangers. He's vulnerable, impressionable, and fragile- and you are trusting them to love him as you do. To see the joy in his flaws and to recognize his talents as well as his needs. I am convinced that Gavin is at the right place, although I can't believe I have to make that decision all over again for Gisela. Time to pray!

Laters-Rudy

Show the World!

Gisela is growing fast. Lisa has sectioned her closet into three sections: wear them now, to big for now, she'll wear it WAY LATER. As of last week, she's wearing "3mo" clothes (that was "to big for now") She turns two months old this coming Wednesday. Which means she's now getting changed into new clothes three times a day :-) If not, she'll grow out of her clothes and never wear them. Seriously, for Halloween, she was a Red Hot Chili Pepper, and she was so long that the costume was stretched out ;-) I keep accusing my washer/ dryer of shrinking her clothes because its the same story with her pajamas. She's to cute to let that happen so...be ready for a fashion show. I'm gonna take pics of her in different outfits to post on her webpage and then find errands to run so I have an excuse to parade my daughter around town in a new outfit every day.

The world must know how beautiful she is!!!!

I love this job!

My parents recently gave me a shirt that read "Fatherhood, the toughest job you'll ever love" and I completely agree. Its exhausting, exasperating, expensive, and extremely rewarding. The other day, I was driving with the kids in the back seat and when I looked in the rear view mirror, my kids were asleep. At that moment I fought back tears ( I do that a lot). They looked so sweet an I can't believe how blessed I am!

Friday cometh!

These precious moments are to be treasured. I am moved to tears when I think of how much I love my children. Their gorgeous faces, those sweet smiles, tremendous personalities, the  love between them: I love it all and never want to forget. HOWEVER.....

Friday morning begins the longest day of my life! As full time daddy for the next five weeks, it falls to me to watch both Gavin and Gisela all day on Fridays. M-Th Gavin attends daycare so Gisela and I do our own thing. But that changes tomorrow. Pray for me! I love them but .....good lord!!! ALL DAY!!! Two of them!!! Two sets of diapers, two mouths to feed, two fights for nap time? Lisa did it every Friday while she stayed home. She's my hero. Wish me luck.

Day Three...

While it may not be socially appropriate to ask of each other,  at what age do we stop asking our children...."Did you poop yet?

I must have made that inquiry six times yesterday until 3:30pm. And then SHE POOPED!!!! Yipee. Oh Joy! Honestly, I was beginning to worry. What if she never poops again? How would I tell Lisa? But alas, no worries. Just stinkies :-)

P.S
how does a 6 week old baby know when I'm getting ready to sit down and eat, and why does she hate it!

First Day on the Job

As many of you know. I have begun my five week paternity leave from work and I'm now on full time daddy duty! I am proud to announce that my first day was a success. Gisela and I are staying home while Lisa returns to work and Gavin goes to school.

Feedings.....CHECK!
Diapers.......CHECK!
more feeding....more diapers....CHECK CHECK

Somewhere in between there I manged to dress her (with a bow ;-), run an errand to the bank, clean the master bathroom, dust the bedroom furniture, hang a couple of frames in the nursery, and make dinner. Then I fell asleep at 9 pm :-) EXHAUSTED!

Today is day 2.....do I have to do it AGAIN!

Baby Gap?

Since pictures have been such a tremendous part of the last two weeks, we've come to realize.....we got a pair of really good looking kids (I'm not biased ;-)

When I arrived at JCPenny to pick up the family pics, JCPenny asked to use Gavin's solo headshot in their portfolio. They really liked his look and thought the picture was great. I signed a release and hope to see it in the store soon. Cool huh? Then we took the dynamic duo to get pics together and were very impressed with how well he took direction and enjoyed the process. SO.....we took a step further and entered him in the Baby Gap casting call. Its free and his picture is in the gallery already so stop by and look it over  (www.babygap.com)

do they take kids to Fashion Week in New York? Just wondering ;-)

Big Brother= Big Adjustment

Poor Gavin. My baby boy is no longer the baby. Just a boy. A little boy doing his best to deal with all this change. The past two days, Lisa and I have been in the hospital (a little prepoccupied) and have had little time to spend with Gavin. He has been primarily staying with his grandparents. He is without his house, his dog, his drums, his bed, or his parents and on top of that....he is without center stage. When he has come to visit us at the hospital, all eyes are on "sister" and he is doing all he can to call attention to himself. My poor baby boy. Its a big adjustment for anyone but for a two year old, its monumental. Pray for him. The next few days will rock his little world.

She's here, and she's beautiful ;-)

Gisela made her grand enterance at 8:30 am this morning. 7 lbs and 2 oz. 20 inches.

Everything was perfect and mommy and baby are doing great. Lisa is doing so well, she already ate a small meal, went for a walk, and took time to straighten her hair and do her makeup before accepting visitors (I think she's gonna be fine). When I took Gisela to meet the family, Gavin was in shock for the first thirty minutes...he wouldn't say a word....and just stared at her. It took him a while to warm up to the idea but now I think he's excited. His first question to me as he looked through the nursery window was, "Baby come out?"...Yes, Gavin...the baby came out :-) and she's beautiful!

Big Brother

People keep asking if Gavin is ready for little sister. Well, he is very much aware of the change coming but I still don't know how he's adjusting but he goes into her room every day and we talk about it all the time. Sometimes he talks to his sister at mom's belly. The other day he tried to feed Gisela an animal cracker through Lisa's belly button :-) Well, he's got the concept....but the details are still a little fuzzy. Is he ready? We'll keep you posted.

Labor Day?

Well....hopefully we can skip the labor part and go straight for the c-section (Lisa's choice). Currently we are scheduled for September 5th but I am beginning to wonder if Lisa is going to make it all the way. She has been really uncomfortable lately and is reporting a lot of "pressure" in there. I guess Gisela is running out of room. Lisa is doing a great job and is still going to work everyday. She has a few loose ends to tie up before she takes her maternity leave and I know she wants to have all her "ducks in a row" before delivery. Wish us luck. Gisela may have other plans.

Shamu Shock
The kids weren't sure how they felt about Shamu. Gavin was speechless and GiGi clung on to us for dear life. It was entertaining either way :)

Feeding Flipper...Sea World 2010
After a great day of watching shows and going swimming, we spent some time feeding the dolphins.

Shake it....don't break it
Gavin love to dance and sing. One day he's Barney the dinosour, the next day he's Zach Efron in HSM. My three year old watches Dancing with the Stars.....hmmm? When does little league start?

Happy Birthday to Gavin

Hey Reyes Fam! I was so happy to see you guys had a site!!! Gisela is beautiful! I can't wait to meet her one day? Who knows when we'll be in Lubbock next. With TWO kids....it gets really expensive to fly. Eek! This will be my first Christmas EVER to not be home. I am sad, but alas, I have to become the resposible Mommy now. :) It is the price I pay for staying home so long with Ava and Lucianna...and I wouldn't change a thing! Good luck on paternity leave! Sounds like you have everything under control!
Love,
Lisa, Anthony, Ava, and Lucianna

Rudy-

If you ever have thoughts of going into housekeeping full time, give me a call! YOu did more in one day than I can get done in a week!  I mostly remember sleeping on Meternity leave! Well really I mostly don't remember much!  Enjoy your time, what a blessed opportunity you have!

i agree with kristi!!  baby gap should be in the bag, that is unless we add liam into the mix, then i am not so sure!!
9/25/2008 1:41:14 PM - 001078890500
Oh, gosh - Gavin should totally have Baby Gap in the bag. He is a must! And Gisela will be when she is old enough, too. And that is not coming from a biased red-headed aunt in GA...
