MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Another year has passed in the blink of an eye!  The year has been filled with fun as we took several trips to Disneyland this year as Mike, Calvin and Janice's Mom visited Southern CA with their families, we enjoyed beach camping a few times and spent Thanksgiving with family in Bend, Oregon playing in the snow.  We are now finishing up 2011 with family in Washington and Oregon.  It has been a busy but fun year and we are thankful for the holidays and some much needed rest and family time!

Kelle is 4 1/2 years old and doing great in preschool.  He can now swim about 15 yards by himself and is learning to site read words.  He started playing soccer this year and although we didn't actually win a game, he scored the most goals on his team!  Luckily the kids don't seem to care who wins or loses, they just all had a great time! 

Naya is 2 1/2 years old and started preschool this year.  Her vocabulary has expanded tremendously and she is loving gymnastics and new friends at school.  She is our little musician who loves to dance, play the piano and guitar and can pick up words to songs quickly. She often demonstrates she is Mom's little girl by following in her footsteps of being very stubborn and strong-willed!

Janice is thankful to have finished her year-long Fellowship program for Manual Physical Therapy in December.  The program took Janice away from home often, traveling to Florida, conferences throughout Southern CA, week-long trips to Colorado as well as kept her up until well after midnight every night working.  However, the experience has been rewarding and she is looking forward to returning to practicing in the clinic as well as continuing to teach in January.  But mostly, she is looking forward to spending time with the family again!

Jared is probably more thankful than Janice that she has finished her Fellowship!  He has spent much of the year as Mr. Mom with Janice either traveling or working late and has done an incredible job!  He had foot surgery in September to repair some torn ligaments and tendons and nearly went crazy being non-weight bearing on his foot for 2 months.  But he is back to light exercise, just got the green light to surf and his Physical Therapist anticipates he can be back to playing basketball in the next 6 months!  Work at the firm has been busy as he prepares for trial next month but he is still enjoying the rewards of helping his clients in need. 

Since we don't get to see many of you as often as we hoped, we wanted to share some of our pictures from the year as well as some videos of the kids' Christmas programs and one of Kelle's soccer goals in the "videos" section.

We hope this holiday season finds all our family and friends doing well and enjoying life!  We are continually reminded of how blessed we are to have wonderful people like you in our lives!  From our family to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and the best for an even better 2012!
