WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!

15 May:

Here are a couple more pictures pictures of the house.  The minivan is our new car.  We'll test it out with a 16 hour drive tomorrow.  Sounds like fun, hey.  Cant be much worse than the plane ride here, so we're not too worried.  And Jenny loves my singing voice.  Oh yeah! 16 hours of Michael Bolton!  Ok, maybe not.

I already have to update the site!!!  Our offer got accepted!!!  We go to do the home inspection in the morning!!!

The only new addition is the section with pictures of the house we made an offer on.  We're pretty excited!!!  We hoped to find out if our offer was accepted tonight, but might have to wait until the morning.  Bummer.


We don't have a picture of the front, since we were silly and thought that we didn't need one because there was a picture on the MLS listing.  Oh well.  We go tomorrow for the home inspection (assuming this offer is accepted!) at 9:00 am.  We'll take some more pictures at the inspection.


Oh, and we bought a car today.  Yes, we spent a lot of money today.  We're now proud owners of a minivan.  Never thought I'd say that.  We bought an '08 Toyota Sienna.  We'll test it out on our drive back to Wisconsin on Saturday, since it looks like we're going to have accomplished our goals a little early.

Our trip to Wisconsin, Dec 2008

There are a lot of pictures in here, but we did a lot while we were in Wisconsin.  Unfortunately, our family pictures from Josephine's baptism didn't turn out very well but we have some great shots of the kids playing. 

Jamey really missed his Cousin Ellie and had a great time playing with her and Cousins Sydney and Kaylee.  It's hard to be away from family as much as we are, but it sure is fun to watch the kids play when they get to see each other again.

Latest news

Makapu'u Lighthouse Hike

The pictures in the next album are from a hike we did recently.  We had done this one before but decided we should try again since it's whale season and it's a good spot to see whales.  Ian carried Jamey in the backpack for the first 1/3 of the way up and then Jamey wanted to walk on his own.  He practically ran up the rest of the hill.  We had to run to keep up with him during parts of it.  He was pretty excited to have made it all the way to the top.  In the end, the only whale we saw was from the car on the drive over but it was still a great day.  We plan on doing another hike either this weekend or the weekend after.
