The Missing
We broadcast cases of missing children via the internet to help gain exposure for these children and hopefully bring them home. Our host is Scott Davis, an individual who has tirelessly been a strong advocate in the recovery efforts of missing children and adults alike. Scott’s interest in assisting missing children goes back and estimated 10 years while he was working in the sport of NASCAR racing. There he was introduced to one of the most influential people in the elevated recovery efforts of missing children and the apprehension of criminals and one of his close friends and Host of America’s Most Wanted Mr. John Walsh. Together they worked on designing a program within the sport of NASCAR to place the faces of missing children on race cars to help gain exposure for those children in one of the largest spectator sports in the world, NASCAR. From their efforts with the NASCAR program Scott became more interested in what he could do beyond placing the faces of missing children on race cars, so he along with his wife began working with canine programs that either utilized canines in the search and recovery efforts of missing children or trained or raised canines to be donated to law enforcement agencies to aide in the recovery of missing children. Again while working on this project the thoughts were what else could be done? This is what led to the creation of THE MISSING TV. Currently Scott volunteers as a Special Investigator in a Unit that specializes in crimes against children and holds training seminars as well as public speaking engagements to broaden law enforcement personnel knowledge of how to investigate and recover missing children. He also speaks publicly to the general public and covers how to protect their children and what to do if they go missing. During his involvement in working to help recover missing children Scott has been afforded the opportunity to work not only along the side of John Walsh, but he has also worked with with law enforcement agencies from the Federal Bureau of Investigations, NC State Bureau of Investigations, as well as local Police and Sheriffs Departments and even with US Marshals. Scott also holds a strong working relationship with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as well due to his friendship with John Walsh. In 2002 Scott received a Presidential Invitation to attend the White House Conference on Missing, Exploited and Runaway Children hosted by President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush. This conference was a compilation of media, law enforcement and specialty programs that focused on child protection and recovery. While there he met with President Bush. Scott Davis continues to work towards the safely and the recovery of missing children.
