We thought that this would be an easy way for all of our family and friends to stay connected.
1 Year Old
I can not believe that Brad and I are parents of a one year old, wow has time flown by. We went for his one year appointment on Wednesday and he is doing very well he is 20.5 pounds and 28 inches long. He had his finger pricked and blood drawn but did not cry at all then the mean lady with the four shots came in and the screaming began. He is a crawling machine now and can walk as long as he is holding onto something and he has a total of 7 teeth, 2 just cut through. I will be posting pictures soon of his one year pictures as well as his birthday party pictures.
6 Months and Gatlinburg
Justin turned 6 Months on 1/13 and I can not believe it has already been half a year of Justin being in our lives. We went to the doctor on 1/13 and he weighed 16.7 lbs (32nd percentile) and was 25 inches long (8th percentile) we are good in the weight but I think I might have to start stretching his legs to make him longer. He can stand up really well by himself now but doesn't have much balance and he also got his first virus when we got back from Gatlinburg, this has been fun. Then Justin went on his first vacation to Gatlinburg with the Morrison Family from 1/18 to 1/24. We had a lot of fun and it was definitely a different experience vacationing with 2 kids under 1, I never realized how much stuff we would have to take. The only bad part of the vacation was on Sunday when we had gotten back everyone except me and Emily got a virus. Other than that we had a really good time and are looking forward to next year. I will post pictures later.
Added Pictures
I added some pictures of Justin from Christmas. Yes I know that I look like crap on Christmas morning you do not have to tell me.
5 Months
Justin was 5 months old yesterday 12/13 and I can't believe how fast these 5 months have gone by. Well we weighed and measured him ourselves yesterday and he was 15.6 pounds, 37th percentile, and was 24.5 inches long, 13th percentile. Yeah we are getting a little better on the length. Also Justin and Brad went to Coach Andrew Turner's basketball game yesterday and Justin seemed to really like it. They said that he just sat in my mom's lap the entire game watching the girls running back and forth on the court. The only thing he did not like was the buzzer because it scared him every time it went off.
Here are also a few other things that Justin is doing now:
-
He is holding his head up really well
-
He tries to sit up by himself but is still a little shaky
-
He can roll over from his stomach to his back, but still working on the back to the stomach
-
He eats really well now from the spoon
-
He really likes sweet potatoes and pears
-
Sleeps from 9pm to 6:30am everynight
-
He is also very ticklish on his neck and at his rib cage
3 Month Pictures
Pictures Added
I have finally added some more pictures to our page and there are a few of him on Halloween, which I didn't get to do with him because I was working, boo, and also some of Brad playing with him tyring to make him look like a pimp.
4 Month Check Up
We went to the doctor this morning for Justin's 4 month check up and he was 14lbs 7 ounces (43rd percentile) and 23 1/2 inches long (9th percentile). Other than the eczema Justin is doing really well. He is laughing and talking all the time and he can hold his head up really well, now we are working on him sitting up by himself. We are also going to start feeding him baby food tomorrow and I will let you know how that goes.
Justin's Baby Dedication
Justin was dedicated to First Baptist Church of Trussville on September 27th. Yes I know this was a long time ago and I am just now posting the pictures but I just go them back from the church so it really is not my fault. He did really good during the service and never really cried I think he liked being on stage and being the center of attention.
3 Months
Justin is 3 Months Old and I can not believe how fast time has gone by. We weighed him this morning and he was 14 pounds, 68th percentile, and he was 23 1/2 inches long, 34 percentile, of course these could be completely off since we did them at home. He also decided at 3 months to sleep from 9pm to 5:30 am YEAH!!!!!!! Brad and I were so excited and we can not wait to see what else Justin will be doing soon.
First Auburn Game
Justin went to Auburn on September 19th for his first football game against West Virginia. We slept in the motorhome and it was a little tight with the pack n play but we made it work. We woke up early on Saturday and went to the tailgate about 10am and just hung out for a while. And we were so excited to take him to his first Tiger Walk but they cancelled it because of the rain, then right before we started to walk into the stadium it started pouring. We waited for about 30 minutes but it never stopped so we went back to the motorhome to watch the game. He had fun but I hope that his next game we will actually be able to take him into the stadium.
2 Months
Justin went to his 2 month doctor's visit on Friday September 11th and he was 11 lbs 3 ounces, 39th percentile and 21 3/4 inches long, 12th percentile. I am so glad that Brad was able to go with me because Justin had to get 4 shots and it was so sad hearing him cry but he didn't cry very long once they were done. Other than that he is doing very well and is cooing and smiling a lot now and he can kind of hold his head up but he still flops around a lot.
Florida Trip
We went to Sandestin a week ago so that Justin could meet his Great Grandparents, Bill and Joan. He did good on the drive there and back the only bad part was the having to stop every 3 hours to feed him so of course that made the trip even longer. Sorry I do not have any beach pictures but I was not allowed to go to the beach because Brad was not able to go with us and he wanted to be with him for his first time on the beach.
Update Finally
Sorry that I haven't been updating my website but you all know how it is. We went to the doctor for his 1 month visit on August 13th and he weighed 9lbs and was 20 1/4 inches long and he had to get his other Hep B shot and had his heal pricked. I almost lost it when he started crying, it was so sad that he was happy one minute and then the next he was being stabbed in the leg. Well we go for our 2 month visit on September 11th and he will be getting 3 or 4 shots that visit, we are not looking forward to it. Other than that nothing much has been going on except we went to Atlanta this past weekend to visit Brad's parents since they haven't been able to see him since he was born. Justin had a great time seeing his grandparents and we hope to go back soon. I have added some pictures and more will be coming soon.
Justin is here!!
Everything went great with the C-Section and Justin was born on July 13, 2009 at 7:22am. He weighed 6lbs and 4 ounces and was 19 inches long. He is just the cutest little thing and we can not wait for everyone to meet him. I am sorry that I am just now getting pictures on the website but it has been a little crazy as all of you know but here are a few pictures and we will be adding more later.
C-Section
We are so excited because Justin will be coming into the world on July 13th at 7:15am. I went to the doctor yesterday and I was still not dialated or effaced any and he is still really high up so we talked with Dr. Stradtman and decided to go ahead and schedule a C-Section. I can not wait to see what he looks like and to be able to hold him for the first time.
Doctor's Appointment
We went to the doctor on Monday and they did some measurements on Justin and all of his measurements were normal except for his femur bones were measuring a little small. So we were sent to a Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor on Thursday to have more measurements taken and to talk with a specialist. After measuring Justin all of his measurements were normal except for his femur bones were measuring about 3 weeks shorter than they should be. So they told us that we have a 90% chance that everything is normal but there is still a 10% chance that he has Down Syndrome. We are now just praying for a healthy baby but whatever God gives us we will love Justin unconditionally. If everything is normal though I guess we will just have a Jockey instead of a Basketball player but I think everyone knew that already.
HEAD DOWN!!!
Yeah Justin decided to turn over and he is now head down, I am so excited. We went to see Dr. Sparks yesterday and he was feeling on my stomach and said that he thought he had turned and instead of making us wait another week to find out for sure he took us to get an ultrasound. We are so excited and hope that he decides to come soon. Next week we will have another ultrasound to see how large he is and also to visit with Dr. Stradtman.
Diapers
Well I didn't work this past weekend and when I walked into the office this morning I had a huge pile of diapers and wipes all over my desk, they were all from the kitchen staff and the servers. I could not believe this we really needed diapers and wipes. Thank you so much to B&A Warehouse and all of their help. Love ya all.
Doctor's Appointment
Well nothing has changed of course. He is still breeched and we are still looking at a due date of July 19th. We will be going back to the doctor next week for a routine exam and then on the 29th we will have an ultrasound to see how big he is and also to see if he has turned. Everyone please pray that he turns around and is not to big because I really do not want to have a C-Section.
Whit's Birthday Today
Today Niki and Barry are becoming parents and we are so excited for them. Niki will be going in for a C Section after lunch today and we can not wait to see him and hold him.
35 Week Doctor Visit
We went to the doctor on Monday June 8th and we listened to Justin's heart beat and she measured my stomach and everything is looking good and on schedule. We will be starting our weekly visits next Monday June 15th. Also we went to our Birthing class on Saturday June 6th and we actually learned a lot. The videos weren't as bad as I thought because most of ours were animated, Thank God.
32 week doctor visit
We went to the doctor on Tuesday May 26th and everything is looking good so far and we start our every other week visits on June 8th. Hopefully I will have more information to tell everyone after that visit.
Baby Coffee on 5/16
Well we had our baby coffee yesterday and it was hosted by Jodie McNutt, Niki Lincoln, Donna Franklin, Jennifer Bethune, Jessica Turner and Kristin Turner. It was a lot of fun and Justin got a lot of good stuff, Brad started putting together some of the big items as soon as we got home he just couldn't wait. Thank you all so much and we really appreciate everything you all have done for us.
Welcome
Well I finally started my own Shutterfly website after a lot of pushing from my mom and I will be adding more information as fast as I can.
