Every day, millions of leaves fall from the trees - leaving a beautiful array of color on the lawn.  Thanks to our hardworking team: Alberto and our Dad, Tim Condon, the leaves are raked and gathered away to provide a neat and tidy welcome to our guests. 

Soon all the leaves will be gone, and spring will come!  Yeah!

Make a wish under the Star tonight!  The StarLight Gazebo was recently lighted to add festive ambiance to the creekside conversation area.  What could be more romantic?!

The "swimmin' hole" has filled in with the wonderful winter rains.  Too cold to swim in now, but by Easter, this will be a fun wading pool for water safe kids, grateful dogs, and hardy adults.

Although charming for 1930, The Ranch House kitchen has never looked better than it does today, with all the conveniences and room to please the most discriminating cook.

Mahogany antiques and vintage patriotic curtains and decor lend a classic and comfortable feel to this special room. Wonderful!

The "Dog House" with 2 Bunk beds

This cozy room has 2 Bunk beds: a single over single over trundle on one, and a single over double futon on the other.  The electric fireplace heater adds to the warm ambiance of this fun room.  Both adults and children will love it here!

This fireplace still roars today!  Firewood is provided for you to enjoy the evening Old California Style.  Today, the hot tub has a view of the fireplace, too, for even more relaxation!

We just got back from our first stay at the Ranch House. We were delighted to find such a lovely retreat for our family reunion. The common areas had something for everyone, and were awesome for just hanging out. The kids had non-stop fun: the tire swing, throwing rocks in the creek, feeding the chickens, playing tag in the front lawn, boardgames, and making smores. We did a short hike up to see the sheep; and we even got to see a demo of how the dogs herd them. We have some great memories from our short stay - one of my favorites was seeing my 7yr old son bond with his grandpa over a game of pool. We'll be back!

August 15-17, 2010 - We spent time at the Ranch House for a family get away. We were 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 2-15). We spent most of our time during our stay at the Ranch House enjoying the creek, the hot tub, making smores at the outdoor fireplace, and most of all relaxing in the quiet amongst the trees. We all agreed that the Ranch House is a home away from home. Even before we left, the kids wanted to know when we would be coming back. June 8-10, 2010 I meet my spiritual mentor and coach twice a year in person for a 2-day retreat and this year, it was at the Ranch. What a wonderful location for quiet communion and natural beauty. January 4, 2010. We stayed at the Ranch over New Years with our two Australian Shepherds. We had a lovely time. It was quiet and the fires in all the fireplaces kept us warm and cozy. If you are looking for a well restored cabin, look no further. The place is impecably done with many artistic details. I could find no fault with the place in any way. Beds were comfortable and hot t tub hit the spot. I highly recommend this place. It is not far from Carmel and the beach and is a little warmer. There are good restaurants in Carmel Valley. A much needed alternative on the Monterey Peninsula. Colleen is a dream to deal with and takes a personal interest in everything. It gets a 10! We'll be back. B Conrad, Hillsborough, CA

Thank you for the wonderfilled time at the ranch house. The river was running and your creek pool alive and so refreshing. I thought of the sign post I first saw in Laguna Beach: it says, refresh and rest then travel on!
Visiting the ranch house with my adoptive California family is a gift that lasts; I feel like I have been blessed with a grafting to land and family. I have only felt this way in two other places, Deetjens Big Sur Inn and the Awanee Hotel at Yosemite. The power of place awakens me to feel an inner glow and a deep reverence for the call which can be heard in sacred places. Your ranch house family table (similiar to the naturally hewn table at Deetjens) welcomes a large group; several generations can gather with stories to tell and rites of passage to honor.
Each room draws you into its magic; I walked back in time and felt love and care spilling out from every nook and cranny. The house seemed to cradle me and give me hope for the future; your family's gift of this home to others makes it a sacred space and spiritual retreat. I hope to be blessed with future reunions there. The local California wine, the hand picked flowers from Glory's garden, the huge night fire we enjoyed (thanks to Raymond stoking countless logs!), and most of all the wishes and dreams told by the youngest generation offered a perfect moment in time. I hold you all in my heart! The ranch house is my first choice of a place to be restored in Carmel Valley. Next time I will try to spend more time visiting the horses. Thank you again.

I rented the cabin this past weekend for my family and friends who were visiting Carmel for an engagement party my mother and father-in-law to be were throwing for my fiance and I. We had a group of 8 people and there was more than enough room for everyone! The house was cozy, spacious and wonderfully located. Colleen was so sweet and Gary the groundskeeper was great! Everyone who stayed has decided to make the Ranch House at Garzas Creek a must have for their next trip to Carmel! It has become a destination in it of itself! I rented the cabin for my friends on the weekend of the Big Sur marathon. we had a group of 14 people and I was very concerned with having enough comfortable space. The cabin met and exceeded our expectations. Welcoming bottle of wine and fresh flowers, amazing grounds, killer outdoor fireplace, gourmet kitchen, hot tub with a view, every last detail is impeccable. Colleen is a delight to work with, the groundskeepers are sweethearts. I am thinking of making this trip a tradition.

This place is simply amazing and trumped all of my expectations. Our small company had a corporate retreat and took full advantage of the entertainment, giant outdoor fireplace, hot tub, and even had a few brave souls dip in the chilly creek which runs just steps away from the house. Inside and out the home is brimming with charm, history, and luxury.

We greatly enjoyed your special Ranch House!  It was such a treat to get away to a spectacular spot for rest and relaxation!  The big fireplace and beautiful dining room table made our evenings memorable.  The Bedrooms were charming with Robes in the closet waiting for us upon arrival.  Our dogs loved the big fenced yard and treasured moments playing together outside under the big oak trees.

Colleen did an excellent job restoring the Cabin with antiques and pictures from the past.  The Cabin has everything you could ever need while on a weekend adventure! It features a rustic and romantic setting with candles and heated floors throughout. We felt blessed to have the opportunity to share quality time with our friends at such an incredible Cabin!   Thank you for making that possible.  We look forward to returning someday soon!

We adventured, played board games by the fire, visited the horses, hiked in the hills, cooked great meals and ate them at the gorgeous dining table, and most of all, we created lasting memories that we will treasure always. The Ranch House is truly the ideal of picturesque cozy comfort and hospitality.  Every detail is perfect, every desire anticipated.  Every moment is a decision on what part to enjoy next.  Is it cooking a meal in the amply tooled chef's kitchen?  A game in front of the huge river rock indoor fireplace?  Basking by the outdoor fireplace? A round of pool? Curling up to watch a movie in granny's coop? Stargazing in the spa?  The fairytale trails through redwoods and oaks dusted with Spanish Moss in Garzas park?  A soak in the deep porcealin tub - to step onto the heated tile floor?  And the hospitality! The spa was warmed and fire ready upon arrival-- wood supplied.  There was an answer to every question and a special guided trip to feed the beautiful ranch horses.  I only wish we could have stayed longer.

11/19/08		The Ranch House is beautiful. We have been telling everyone we know about it since we got back into town. We would recommend it to anyone. It is the perfect location, close enough to the beach but secluded with a mountain feel. We spent time inside enjoying the fireplace and pool table but loved the fact that we could step outside to the fireplace, gazebo, spa or go hiking. We took advantage of the fully stocked kitchen...it was nice to not have to worry about bringing anything. We would definately love to stay there again.   Jillian & Mike, Clovis, California
