We hope everyone had a wonderful summer, and got to enjoy some quality family time. Our summer was incredibly busy (surprise, surprise), David was in numerous camps this summer, and also started playing Lacrosse. It is fun to watch him do something different, but he was not happy giving up more of his “summer time”. He played 8 games, and scored at least once in every game, so even though he wasn’t crazy about the idea he turned out to be pretty good at it.
Sadly enough our baby boy turned 13, and has entered the scary world of Junior High. Of course, Davey is handling it way better then mom, and Dad is living vicariously through him making sure he is getting all the hot girls numbers. I personally do not encourage interaction with the opposite sex. :<)
Soccer season is in full swing again. We had our first out of town tournament in St. Louis last weekend, and to say it didn’t go well is the under statement of the year. We lost every game, and couldn’t finish enough to score one goal the whole weekend. Like the KC Chiefs…we are in a “rebuilding year”.
Princess Rian has been true to form lately…she turned 3 on July 26th and she has planted herself firmly on her invisible thrown and constantly tries to boss everyone around (I won’t comment on whether or not she gets her way). This kid definitely gives us a run for our money…she is meaner and sassier then our sweet Davey has ever been and she’s only 3, so we know we are in for an interesting road to come. She started pre-school in February, and was just promoted from the Green Room to the Blue Room, so she’s pretty proud to be in the big kid room. She loves school, and is doing well.
We love you all,
The Salinas Family
