Toad Suck Daze 09

I was all geared up for TSD We all had on our shirts.  I wore mine to school and Mommy and Daddy wore theirs to work.  It starts on friday but we were to tired to go after school so we were going to wait until Saturday.  Well we should have just gone on Friday because it rained ALL day saturday.  We managed to go out for a few minutes and thought we might get a corn dog but everything was shut down. Next year I am going on Friday.....I was really looking forward to my first corn dog.  The county fair is coming in a few months maybe we can get one there.

Kris Allen

American Idol came to Conway on May 8th and Kris Allen put on a short concert in downtown Conway.  It was about 300 degrees outside but the folks dragged me out there.  I was in total meltdown mode shortly after the actual concert started,  I think we only stayed for 2 songs.

Mother's Day

Our first Mother's Day together.  I welcomed Mommy with a kiss and hug.  Some how the only pictures we took were from early in the morning.  I think Mommy had a good day and I know she loved her Kitchen Aide mixer we bought her, she made homemade bread that afternoon.

Sick Baby

I had my second ear infection in May and I did not feel good at all.  I ran a high fever for a couple of days.

My friend Noah turned 1 on April 10th.  He had and easter egg hunt for us at his party.  It was so much fun! The day my mommy never wants to relive

2/25/09 a day I don't remember but my mommy sure does.  She had got home from work and we were playing.  I had a stinky diaper so she had to change it. While getting things situated I decided to get down.  I just didn't know how far down I had to go. I fell of the changing table when mommy looked away.  I cried but I was also sleepy so we took a nap.  When we woke up I didn't want to crawl.  Mommy thought that was odd so she called Dr. Craig and we went to see him. She called daddy to tell him we were heading out, he met us at the doctors office.  The xray showed that I had actually broken both bones in my forearm.  My radius had clean break and my ulna had a greenstick.  I had to get it splinted and then would have to get a cast on it the next day.  I was determined not to let it slow me down and I didn't.  As soon as we got home I figured out a way to still crawl with it.

New Years Eve 2009

So every year Mommy & Daddy go to Colin & Nicole's house for New Years Eve.  This year we all did the same but I just couldn't wait any longer.  Mommy brought in the New Year feeding me and rocking me back to sleep.  Daddy came in at Midnight to kiss his girls.  Hope I didn't spoil their party I just needed my Mommy.

Nashville

Me and Daddy went out exploring Nashville while Mommy was in her conference. We found this really neat place called the Parthenon it looks just like the real one. Daddy and I got to see the inside but we took Mommy back later to see it but it was closed.

Daddy's Girl

My Mommy and Daddy gave Uncle B & Aunt Erika this Blues bib for my Buddy Silas. They took a picture of him with Uncle B's Blues when he was a baby. Daddy wanted to copy their picture. So when we went up to see them in Knoxville we took Daddy's blues so that I could have my picture made with his blues and the bib.

We had a long day and I rode on my first plane ride it was fun and Mommy said I was so good, but I was worn out.

Another great Adventure

While on our visit to Knoxville we spent a few days in Townsend, TN for Curtis and Carol's wedding. We had a little down time during the festivities so Mommy, Daddy, Mimi, Pop and I all went on a ride through Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountain's.

The great adventure of Mr. T

Mr. T is my favorite toy he usually travels everywhere with me. But, on this first plane trip Mommy realized something awful had happened. Mr. T was lost. I was so upset Mommy had to go to Target in hopes of finding a new one. Well, she did he wasn't the same as the real Mr. T so we named him T2. T2 and I bonded a little and he waited with me for the plane to take us home. The good thing is Mr. T was waiting in the car when we got back home. Yeah!

Happy Halloween

Mommy and Daddy were so sweet they gave me some books and a new animal for my very first halloween. The kitty is so soft.

Cousins

This was my cousin Lindley's first halloween also, so I wanted to go see her.  We all looked so cute they couldn't keep from taking our pictures.  Katy Belle is so cool! So always gives me hugs and kisses when she sees me.

We are having so much fun with Loral! She truely is a blessing.  The girl has a sense of humor and cracks herself up.  She is such a busy body and like to get into things.  Her favorite thing to do while I am cooking is to get in the tupperware cabinet and pull everything out, then crawl in.  It makes a huge mess but it keeps her occupied while I cook dinner. She loves being outside even though the bugs like to nibble on her.  One night last week she had to eat dinner in her wagon on the front porch.  It was raining but it was the only way she would eat her dinner.  We have a few new pets around our house.  The hummingbirds have finally found our feeder and have swormed it every day especially in the evenings.  We all enjoying sitting out and watching them.  We have to make a trip outside at least once a day to blow bubbles and Loral just chases them around the yard. Sometimes she tries to bite them.  Bathtime is still a great deal of fun.  She is testing the water and putting her face in.  She makes an attempt to blow bubbles in the water but usually just ends up with them all over her face.  She tries to make a meal out of them on occassion.  I really wish I had the time to write about her daily because I forget some of the little funny things she does. It is just hard to keep up with it all and have time to spend together as a family.  My baby is turning into a toddler and starting to look like one too.....but she will always be my sweet baby girl no matter how old she is.

The last several weeks have been a little rough at our house. Loral is cutting more teeth so she has not been eating as well or in her usual happy mood.  She seems to have more meltdowns and has been running fever.  Her third tooth cut through on Monday 4/13, it was her first top tooth.  She has 2 on bottom and 1 on top, I can fell the other top front tooth.  Given the way she has felt the last couple days she will probably have the 4th tooth soon.

Saturday the 28th was a big day at our house. It was my Daddy's 32nd birthday and I turned 10 mos.  It had been a pretty good week.  I got my cast removed on the 19th and I had a little wobbly start crawling but I was super excited to be rid of it.  After a few days I was back up to my old speed, fast and super fast.  I must say being able to get around on my own is very nice.  Back to my story, on Tuesday Mommy took me to have my pictures made. It was ok but it was starting to get cold and windy and I had had enough. I was ready to go home, eat and take a nap. So I let her and Mrs. Rebecca know it.  They soon listened and we headed home. On Wednesday Mommy and I spent the day together. It was really nice being able to spend 2 days with her. I really enjoy taking naps with her.  Wednesday night I didn't really feel good and Mommy was trying some new diapers on me, I didn't really like them, they woke me up everytime I used the potty all night. It was just ridiculous.  I was tired Thursday morning and I think Mommy and Daddy were too. But, all morning they were hustling around and taking all my stuff out to the car, I didn't really know we were going anywhere.  They loaded me up in the car and we started on the road, I fell asleep and when I woke up we were in a place I had never been before. They called it the Memphis Zoo.  Okay if they say so.  I got to ride in my stroller and there were people every where, I heard all sorts of new sounds and saw some funny looking things. Some of them looked like they were animals and others I couldn't tell if they were people or animals.  I saw  Tigers, peguins, donkeys, goats, little cows, ducks, roosters, and the polar bears. I strolled by the Monkeys but I had just woke from my nap and I was ready to eat.  My favorite was the roosters, ducks and goats.  I could get close to them and they talked to me so I yelled at them.  On Friday we had lunch at this special place called the Rendezvous.  It was a favorite of my Daddy's this man brought me some animal crackers so I guess I like it too.  I slept on the trip home and I was really happy to be back in my own house with my own toys, puppies and bed.  Saturday like I said was Daddy's birthday but he needed to go somewhere so Mommy and I stayed home and played and then went to a wedding.  I have been to a couple but this one was in a BIG church and when I hollered it was loud so I had to do it a few more times. Then Mommy took me into this other room, I could see everyone but they couldn't hear me anymore. That wasn't as much fun.  Mommy and Daddy made this big pool full of balls and I got to crawl around in it and play with all the bright colored balls.  It was so much fun I don't know what I did to deserve this kind of reward but I enjoyed it.  After we all played I gave Daddy his birthday cards and present.  I picked out this special one at the zoo with a baby monkey on it, I thought it would be great since he calls me his Little Monkey. Mommy had me put my hand print in it, that wasn't fun but daddy liked it.  Sunday morning we went and had breakfast with my Mimi and Pop.  Then Sunday afternoon after I woke up from a nap, the house was all cleaned and smelled so good.   Daddy dressed me in this pretty outfit. Mommy loved it, said I looked like a little ballerina.  It wasn't long and my Aunt Blake, Bob, my cousins Delia & Axel and my Mimi & Pop showed up with balloons. I guess we were having a party for my daddy. Well I was real excited that they were at my house. I had to show Axel my new ball pit, he thought it was super cool too.  We all had some dinner and then Mommy brought out this really pretty cake with candles I got to sing to Daddy and help him blow out his candles.  I had so much fun I wish we had parties everyday.  It was my first birthday to celebrate with my Daddy and I think we both had a great time.  From what I hear, Easter is coming, I haven't celebrated this day yet so it will be my first.  I keep hearing about the Easter bunny I guess he is kind of like Santa for the Spring.  That is all of my adventures for the last week. I was really busy as you can tell. I have 2 teeth now and I feel like I have more trying to come in.  I like to pull up on things and even try to stand some on my own it is so much fun, I enjoy being able to walk around on the edge of the couches from one to the other.  I am getting bigger and I love it.  I hope you are all having fun this spring. Loral turns 10 mos in a week.  It is so hard to believe all that has changed in the past 10 mos.  She is so much fun to be with.  Her personality is a daily treat and she seems to add to it everyday.  We enjoy our family time and all 3 of us getting down on the floor and playing for as long as she wants to.  I felt like a horrible mother the day she broke her arm (in my care). But, I have come to realize things just happen and it doesn't matter if you take all the precautions in the world accidents happen.  She did get her cast off today and has had some adjusting to do.  Her left arm is pretty weak in comparison but by the end of the night she was doing a little better with it.  The sweetest thing was when they took it off she clapped her hands.  It was so sweet I almost cried, she was relieved herself to get rid of the stinkiness that seemed to plague her world for the last 3 weeks.  We did save it, I'm not sure what I am going to use to get rid of the odor but I do want to preserve it somehow.  We are going to take a family trip to the Memphis Zoo next week and stay a night or two with our friends the Robicheaux.  I am sure we will have lots of pictures to post.

It's hard to believe that Loral was 8 months old yesterday. She has changed so much just in the last month. She now can say MaMa and DaDa, she claps her hands, waves bye-bye, she sits herself up and crawls. She still just has the one tooth but I really don't think it will be long.  I am so glad that I changed my schedule, I have been able to spend so much more time with her now and we as a whole family have more time together.  It really has made a difference.
