Welcome
I am stealing/borrowing/using/copying my friends great idea to capture 365 days in photos. I thought it was such a great idea that I have decided to do it too! I haven't decided exactly how I am going to do this yet. Like, am I going to try to get each child each day or just a single picture of whoever does something to catch my attention that day or a variance of the two? I think I will just post what I get from each day and go from there.

My little Dare Devils were doing all sorts of tricks and flips on the trampoline this afternoon. The videos are sideways. Sorry I cant figure out how to flip them. Anyways, Carter is by far the best at flips and the only one of the boys who will even attempt a back flip or a gainer. He perfected the landing both this afternoon and then decided to see how many back flips he could do in a row without stopping!

Time to tear things Up!
Well we finally just had to get the old couch out of the house. It was literally falling apart. We also had an old dishwasher that has been sitting outside for a long time. Today we decided to let the boys go to town taking things apart and cutting things up. They loved it! They had so much fun and it helped us get the back yard cleaned up a little bit. Wow! Who knew how excited a bunch of boys would be over a few tools with the sole purpose of tearing something UP!

Dawson was supposed to dress up like a community helper this week. He was bound and determined to be a policeman but we couldn't come up with that last minute, so I went scrambling through the house for a different idea. I found a nice shirt and a tie and I was like ok a Weather Man! It really didn't make him happy but it was that or nothing. Come to find out it really wasn't supposed to be until tomorrow. All that fuss over the wrong day. He let me know that too. He said," if you would have been one of those mom's that read the paper that came home you would have known what day it was". So I guess I am one of those mom's that reads all 3 boys notes on Monday and remembered reading something about dressing like a Community helper and assumed that because of the fuss it must have been today because that is what Dawson told me. I guess that is what i get for listening to a 6 year old! So tomorrow for the real day, he is still stuck on being a policeman. I am still not going to go buy him something to wear 1 time so i cut out a vest from a paper grocery bag and he is decorating it like a policeman! I will take more pictures tomorrow.

School Started TODAY! 8-24-2009
My Sweet BOYS
We got up early this morning and had french toast for breakfast! Carter's choice! We took pictures and got to school without much hassle. This afternoon was a different story. The traffic was so bad i sat in line for 10 minutes at 3:00 and never moved so I turned around and went home and just walked to go get them. They thought that was cool and enjoyed walking so I think we will do that as much as possible this year. It is really for me to get some exercise and try to lose a little weight and at the same time it is good for them and they enjoy it.

Blake's is the marroon one with the circles everywhere. He did his own design and tried to make a smiley face. Carter's is in the middle. He put 1 rubber band on and was done so I helped him but I just went with what he had already done. I thought it turned out really cool! Dawson's is the 1 on the right. I watched a you tube video on how to do this and a few other designs before we went . I thought it turned out great. He did his own colors!

The kids did TIE DYE shirts! They turned out GREAT! A picture of those will come tomorrow! They are outside drying on the deck. The boys played with some friends and had some cake and cookies and a great afternoon. What a great way to end our summer with a bang!

Fun day at the Party Barn
Well we had a fun and exciting day at the Party Barn today! Makayla is getting bigger and walking all over the place and her hair is getting longer and blonder each time I see her. She was talking about the dogs and the cows! She is precious!
After we were there for about 45 min. to an hour. Carter came screaming over to me and his nose had a big knot on the side of it and it was bleeding. I thought we might have to leave right then and go to the doctor but we got the bleeding to stop and eat some lunch before we headed back to Tyler to go see the doctor because I was pretty sure it must be broken and I know there is not much they can do but I just wanted to get it checked out before school started on Monday. The x-rays didn't show any broken bones but the doctor said it is hard to get a good xray of the nose and he could have broken the cartiledge and that wouldn't show up. So we came home with the instructions to ice it the rest of the day today and tomorrow and when the swelling goes down, if his nose still looks crocked then we should take him to the ENT.

What fun for the boys!
I had been mowing the side yards in sections today depending on which parts were in the shade! Then I heard the thunder this afternoon and noticed it was cloudy and it had cooled off so we ran back outside while I frantically(or not) tried to finish up the small patch of grass that was left. I finished about the time the mower ran out of gas and it started pouring. The boys were already jumping on the trampoline and there was no lightening, so I just got an umbrella for myself and watched them enjoy the rain! I couldn't take a picture until the rain stopped so I didn't ruin my camera. So here are my 3 boys wet and handsome from the rain!

Mud, water guns, new toys, and stares
Amy and I took the kids to the park yesterday evening to get them out of the house for a little while and when we got there the boys went straight to the slide and made some mud with the water in their water guns and had a great time throwing it on slide and sliding down it covered in MUD! There were some new toys for the kids to try out on the playground. Then their was a women that kept feeling like she needed to be rude to the boys while they were playing. Her little girl kept wanting to come playing with them and she just wouldn't have it because she might get mud on her as if their wasn't a spray ground right there for her to clean off with but I guess all people don't let their kids play and be kids. Anyways it wouldn't have bothered me so much except their weren't very many people there and the boys weren't bothering anyone. There weren't even any other kids over there by the slide. Oh well, the boys all had fun and then guess what they ran through the spray ground and rinsed off before we got it in car and had baths when we got home. Amazing how baths will magically make them clean again with out much effort!

We go to the Tyler Library on some Fridays during to summer because they have some really cool things for the kids to watch and it is free entertainment! They had Kim's Martial Arts there last Friday to show the kids some moves, self-defense maneuvers, and they broke some boards too! I took some pictures and videos but for some reason I can't get them off my camera right now. I think my hard drive is full! Pictures to come soon.

Carter had a rough day today...We were outside playing and a wasp flew up in sleeve and stung his arm and then while the boys were jumping on the trampoline, he got elbowed in the eye. 6 kids in 1 house for a WEEK
Our cousin's from CO came to visit us for a week on their summer vacation to Texas! We had a great time with them. We swam multiple times everyday, jumped on the trampoline, went to Fun Forest and Faulkner Park, and for the very few hours we were inside each day we were either eating for playing the Wii and computer games. We really hope they move back to Texas so we can see them more often and their Mommy and Daddy and new baby brother next time

Carter Turned 8 today and we always let them pick a restaurant they want to eat for supper! He picked Casa Ole. He really bases his decisions on what kind of dessert they serve and he really likes the ones at Casa Ole. He ate every last bite and he was one happy birthday boy when we left! He got a new game for his Wii and he and his brothers have been playing it all day!

We met some friends at the Overton City Pool that is near their house and had a great time. It is a really nice pool and something good for all ages. We swam for about 3 hours and ofcourse the kids wanted to stay longer but maybe next time we will do an all day thing.

Carter's last game was Thursday but then they played a Tournament on Saturday to finish up the season. They played 4 games! They used a pitching machine for the tournament and Carter hit the ball every time he got up to bat! The top picture is on him rounding 2nd to run to third for a triple! Baseball 2009
Tonight was Dawson's last game and he played great along with the rest of his team! They won and it was their best game all year! He made 3 outs and almost caught a fly ball. He scored some runs and hit the ball really well. Gran-Gran came to see he and Blake play! Blake played really well. His team lost but he made a double play on 3rd base! He caught a line drive and line tagged the base for the 2nd out! AWESOME end to the season!

Last night Carter and I went to Wal-mart to get a movie from ReDBox for the first time for family movie night. We got Beverly Hills Chihuahua! I didn't realize that those movie boxes would be so popular but they are. There was a line when we got there so we decided to waste a little time and then go check again. We decided that we could make Bubba breakfast in bed! It was the first time for that TOO!
This morning we got up and Blake and Carter helped me cook the french toast by breaking the eggs and beating them for me. Carter also made sure he told Bubba we were making him breakfast in BED! I think he was about to get up so that would have ruined the surprise, so Bubba was a great sport and stayed in bed without acting like he knew what was going on and let them surprise him! He stayed in bed and ate the whole thing! It was fun and the boys really enjoyed it. Dawson didn't help because he was still half asleep and he said he was to tired to come out of his room right now. We asked him several times.

The waiting is finally over
Well for the past 2-3 months Dawson's has had a slightly loose tooth. For about the past 2 weeks it has been pretty loose. And today was the day! He just wouldn't leave it alone and he was getting quite upset because he couldn't get it to come out so I finally took him into the bathroom and after showing him what he needed to do for about 30 minutes and him crying because he couldn't do it, I just showed him and it came out! He was so HAPPY! The TOOTH FAIRY has a mission tonight!

On the last day of vacation we went back to the River Walk and went to the mall but only to use the restroom! Then we walked to whole River Walk taking pictures and went to the Alamo. The boys enjoyed to Alamo gift shop where they had showcases of memorabilia. We ate at Casa Rio, which is a mexican food place that several people told us about and it was really good. Then we ended our long day with swimming for the last time and ordered pizza for supper and went to bed.

Today we got smart and wore our swimsuits to Sea World and started out on a water ride and then went to the Ski show(I don't have pictures of it) but it was pretty awesome. Then we went to Viva which is an acrobat show with divers and dolphins! (Viva is the best show at Sea World). Then we went to the water park for the rest of the day and went back to the condo and went swimming before bedtime!

Day Three Vacation
Day Three- 1st Day at Sea World
Our plans on Day Three were to have a dry day at Sea World and see all the shows and then do a wet day the next day since we had 2-day passes. That way we could spend the whole 2nd day at the water park side. The dry day only lasted for about 3 hours and we had to leave and go eat lunch and then go back to the condo and put swim suits on and spent the rest of the "dry" day getting wet and forget about the rest of the shows for that day. We did see "Believe-Shamu and the Sea Lion show! It was about 105 every day we were there and it was to hot for the kids to not get WET! After we did the water park and slides we went back to the condo to swim of course!

One day 2 we drove the rest of the way to San Antonio from Austin but we couldn't check in to the condo until 4:00pm so we went and got some groceries for the week and drove around. Once we got checked in we walked the river walk and did the river boat tour since Carter has been looking forward to that ever since we watched "Cloak and Dagger" for family movie night last month. We all really enjoyed that and then we went back to the condo and relaxed and went swimming before bedtime! After this day Blake said that was the best day of his life and we hadn't even gone to Sea World yet! I told him to just wait until tomorrow!

We drove to Austin and stayed one night there before we could check in to the condo on Wednesday in San Antonio. We stopped in Roundrock and at pizza at Mangia! It was so good. Then we took the boys to the Capital Building and walking around there for a while. Then ate supper at a little stand on Congress St. The food was awesome and then we went to Amy's ice-cream and had to most expensive mediocre ice-cream I have ever had. We went to the bat bridge and watched to bats fly out when it got dark. That was awesome but I didn't get very good pictures of that.

We got to play with our "girl" friends today for the first time in FOREVER! And aren't they all Beautiful. All the kids had a great time even though Fun Forest was close for maintenance or something and that was a big disappointment for the boys but after we got to Faulkner park they had a great time.

Well, Blake really needed a haircut and has needed one for quite sometime but I was trying to be a nice mom and let him try to grown it long. His hair is just too thick and straight and it just wasn't working but he begged me not to cut it until school was out so I waited as long as I possibly could. I had to bargain with him because he really didn't want it this short but it is hard for me to do his hair any other way so I told him I would take them to the spray ground if he would just sit still and let me do it.

Well I have been trying to use my little camera on walks and things to get my daily picture but they all come out grainy like this. =( I think I found the problem though so maybe the next set will turn out good.
The boys found a small water puddle from the rain the other day and they had such a fun time running through it and getting each other wet. It is one of those things where I was like NO, oh never mind, it won't hurt anything go ahead!
On a side not, the boys have been really challenging lately and have really been testing my patience, which seems to be running short these days...

Carter got to play catcher in the tournament in 2 1/2 games and he did great! I think he may have found his position! I am just so proud of him and he really is focused back there.

8:00 in Bullard
Well, Blake's team played at 8:00 in Bullard but the game didn't start until about 8:30 and they got beat but they scored 6 runs and had some good moments. 2 of the boys that are buddies started fighting in the dug out so that caused a small scene. Needless to say it was interesting.

Could be due to the dollar I bribed him with but whatever works, right? Oh and pay close attention to the new arms bands! That is wear you are supposed to wear them these days, up on the fore arm. The most fun day of the year
Field day is the most fun day of the year for the kids! Pretty much NO work and ALL PLAY! I was going to go up there this morning but instead of just going like a good parent, I called first to see if they were encouraging parents to come or not and I the answer I got was, "Well, we do have a lot of parent volunteers so I am not saying you can't come but I don't know that we are encouraging that". So I decided I wouldn't go. Then my friend Amy emailed her son's teacher to ask and the teacher said of course parents could come. So she called me and told me we could go but in the mean time Bubba and I decided to have a lunch movie date. I didn't end up going but Amy did. And again she pulled through for me and got some pictures of my baby boy having fun on the most fun day of the YEAR!
I am going next year, NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

Thanks to Amy I actually got some pictures of our first fun water day of the summer season! I had my camera all ready to go and I was so excited all day for the fun photo opps for today and I ran off and left my camera behind. Oh SNAP! Today we started chore sheets, and that took us until about 1:00 to finally get motivated enough to get done. Then we went to pick up our buddy to come play for a little while. They had a good time playing soccer and building sand castles.

Dawson had a great time with great friends at his party. He came home with a bunch of new toys! He loved all of them and really did need some new age appropriate toys. He had outgrown most of his. He was very polite and told everyone thank you and all the kids stood around him and seemed just as excited to watch. It just amazes me how kids grow in maturity each year. We have gone from parties where kids end up in tears because the present they gave, they really wanted for themselves and didn't fully understand the birthday concept, to all the kids helping un-wrap, to this year where they just stood around excited and slid the present closer when he needed another to open. I just think it is so cool how kids grow and mature so quickly!

Dawson picked out Spider Man Masks to passed out to all of his friends! They turned out to be a big hit with everyone, even the big kids wore them! We had a few accidents with the kids running under the play equipment with the masks on and not seeing the bars and slides. Nothing more serious than a bloddy nose and that was Blake so really no harm done. It was a little cole but the kids didn't mind and the parents toughed it out! Great Party!

Arrgghh....We went to Chucky Cheese to celebrate Dawson's birthday tonight as a family. For the last few years we have let the boys pick where they want to have their birthday dinners and up until now they have always picked Casa Ole' or somewhere they know they can get a free dessert but this year Dawson got SMART! He won, with the help of mom and dad, quite a few tickets and got to pick his pirate accessories! He also got 6 extra totens since it was his birthday and a Birthday balloon as we left....That makes for a very happy little Chucky Cheese Pirate! I think his 6th birthday was GREAT!!

Well today is the last day Dawson will be 5 years old. I think he has had a good day! He got to take cupcakes to school today to celebrate with his class. He got some more mail today from Mamaw and Papaw. He got an under armor shirt (too cute) and 6 dollars from Papaw!

The boys spent the night at the party barn last night with Papa. They went fishing and caught about 15 fish in a pretty short amount of time and Carter caught a 4 1/2 lb fish and Blake caught a 3 1/2-4 lb fish! Then they helped(watched) Papa clean and fillet the fish. Then take fried the fish and ate it! They had a great time!
Before they went to Carthage, Papa met us at Academy and all the boys got new school shoes and baseball shoes!

Day 1 Activites
Today is the first official day of Spring Break! We all slept until about 9:00. I guess we are still not adjusted to daylight savings yet. We met some friends at the park with our bikes and scooters and had lunch and played from about 10:45 til 2:30! When we got home our plumbing issue was fixed and I can get some laundry done! HALLELUJAH!

Busy Morning
This morning started off early at the soccer fields! Carter had a game at 8:15 and when it was over Dawson had his first game at 9:45 and then his next game started at 10:45 but Blake had a game at the same time as Dawson's second game across town so I missed both of Dawson's games since I had to drive Blake to Tyler to play.
Bubba took pictures for me! I wish I could have seen him play a little bit more but the pictures are good too.

Played Baseball and Soccer Practice
Our afternoon was busy today. We came home and played baseball for about 1 hour and then we came in for 5-10 minutes and got ready for soccer practice for Blake and Carter. I cook supper late on Thursdays because of that so it makes things a rush when we get back but that is better than being in a rush before hand. I just don't want to fill them up and then send them straight to practice to run and get hot on a full stomach... We ate Sloppy Joes and french fries and had quick baths and now the boys are in bed. I didn't feel like getting my camera out today so this is a picture from earlier this year sometime.

Well when we got home today the boys wanted to play outside like usual on a nice day. So we dropped our stuff on the walkway and played. We went to the library after school today! The boys have been begging to go for over a month and I finally broke down and took them. I know that sounds terrible that I wouldn't want to take my kids to the library but the truth is the last time we went we were way overdue and we had a 11.00 fine and I just never felt like paying it until today...
So Carter picked Green Eggs and Ham, which is a favorite and we do have it at home already, but there is just something special about the copy from the library. He can read the whole book by himself! I love listening to him read because he has had trouble this year with reading and it is so encouraging when he actually sits down to read. He is actually a very expressive reader when he wants to!
Dawson is now doing his own homework! WOW! That only took all year but he is now doing it! He still tells me how "boring" it is about every 2 minutes but he does it without tears and to much trouble so that is also a big accomplishment!

Carter comes home everyday after school and takes his shirt off and runs around shirtless or puts this karate shirt on or a costume but always the Tony Hawk jacket (thanks Gigi)! He loves his jacket and he can even do hand stands with it on. If you asked him he would say he does them better with it on!

A day at Mamaw's
Today we went to my Mamaw's house to celebrate all of the February Birthday's! We had a blast and the boys played with my cousin Jace and we got to play with Makayla!
I also update the picture album on the left hand side almost everyday as well, with the other pictures that I take but just don't use for the main post of the day!

We had another wonderful weather day! When the boys got home from school we played outside and I got another few great shots of them! Some of Dawson this time!

It was a really nice day today and Carter is finally feeling better so we played outside after school and did our homework outside! Blake loves to do that and he has been asking for a week if he could do his homework outside and it was finally a good day..He lays on the trampoline and does his homework. After he was done I got him to come climb the tree so I could take his picture! What a handsome guy! I love my big(baby) boy. I can't believe he will be 10 in 2 months!
And I just had to add the one of Carter too because I thought it was so pretty!

Who's Smartest?
He Ain't Stupid....
Carter has learned that it only takes having a coughing fit and looking pitiful for the nurse to call Mom or Dad to come pick him up. I wonder why he likes this so much? Tell me what you think by what you see in this picture. And his chair is strategically placed right in front of the TV. He didn't get to come home until about 1:00 today because they finally got a hold of Dad.
They called me the first time he went to the nurse and I was at school and I told them that if he had stopped coughing then he just needed to go back to class because he was taking medicine and he doesn't have fever and I had done everything I could do and he just needed to try and stay. Then I turned my phone back on silent for school and didn't really think about it again because PEOPLE he really is fine now! Then he went to the nurse again and Daddy just happened to check the messages and went to get him.
Now who is the smartest person in this story? I think this is a game now to see how many days he can talk someone into letting him come home early from school.
I wonder if I will get a call tomorrow? I guess we shall see.

Getting Better Carter, Homework Blake and Posing Dawson
Today I decided I would get all 3.
Carter went to the Dr. yet again and he still has the flu and a terrible cough that could turn into pneumonia so now we are taking steroids to make sure he doesn't get that because of his bad history with things getting into his lungs. He threw up the first dose of steroids all over the living room floor along with his lunch. I pretty much had a mental breakdown and stress rage towards whoever happened to be there which happened to be my husband...Sorry Bub if you read this..But he came through and got Carter to take the medicine without vomiting and Carter hasn't coughed since that kicked in..Thank goodness!
Blake was sitting at the table whining for me to help him with his word search...So pitiful! So I don't feel sorry for him at all...I think he just needed some attention so he GOT SOME!
Dawson was running through the house like a wild man but when he saw the camera he stopped cold in his tracks and posed!

Well I am at home with Carter once again. Last week he missed Wed., Thurs., and Friday of school because he had the flu. He seemed fine on Friday and Saturday and then the uncontrollable coughing started on Saturday night... I sent him to school this morning because he hasn't had any fever but I had a feeling that I would get called to come get him and sure enough I did. I called the Dr. and they called him in some cough meds and we have an appt in the morning. Of course they couldn't get him in today because that would be way to convenient.
